All you can do is be prepared to meet them head on when they occur. Taking out terrorists where they live certainly helps – like keeping known killers locked up – but your best protection for any of this is self defense and the tools you need to maintain that self defense.

Edwards are Biden are trying to get traction with the money-base of the Dems. Their answer is for the primaries, Clinton’s and Obama’s for the general election. But a great question for those who didn’t raise their hands, “In the wake of 9/11 and the Global War on Terror declared against the US by Al Qaida, Bin Laden and Iran, why don’t you believe that there is a GWOT?”

Of course I could be wrong. Edwards may not have heard the question because he caught a glimpse of his perfectly coifed hair in a side monitor. Biden may not have understood the question.

Talkwisdom: Irony and Dem Politics

The success of GWB in averting another homeland attack is the sole reason why this question can even be asked, at least among the willfully clueless. As the Weak Horse party, if we don’t soon figure out what to do about its dangerous viability as a political alternative (instead of it going the way of the Whigs, like it should), the Democrats may well succeed in forging a real alliance with our enemies. I don’t think they are capable of much else.

Even the NM TV stations that are normally in his hip pocket are laughing at his appearance and answers at the debate.

So many people across the nation, (including a lot of conservatives) think he is pretty great. It is long past time people start to see what he really is.

If Hillary were representing Arkansas, I doubt she’d have raised her hand. She represents New York, though, and that’s turned out in hindsight to be a terrible strategery for the carpetbagger. As long as NY, NJ, and CT hero Rudy is in the race on the other side of the ballot, she knows she can’t forget the above facts about 9/11, either; there simply aren’t enough swing states to compensate for losing that chunk of the electoral college if you’re a dem. Yet, she has to win the primary round by appeasing the war-denying moonbats of, among other states, these three… and we’ve seen recently how many moonbats there are in CT. She’s a master at triangulation, but I’m not sure anymore that she can triangulate her way out of this tight spot.

Is there a “War on Drugs” going on right now? Yes. But that yes/no answer doesn’t get to the substance. Is it working? Should we be doing it? Should it be changed in any way, how?

Replace drugs with terror; virtually the same thing. I think it’s an easy question to get tripped up against and it doesn’t really answer any question at all. If I were asked out of the blue like that without a chance to think I might not even raise my hand (although I do believe a “War on Terror” is occurring).

Not that being half-right on the war (acknowledging that there is in fact a war going on) is impressive, but she’s doing so at the risk of isolating chunks of the nutroot base, so she apparently has a set.
