well of course she raised her hands first…she let UBL go free, at least once.
Kindof a closer relationship than the other moonbat moongod lovers.

The Democrats are so stupid. If anybody in the group that didn’t raise their hands gets the nomination, then they will be pounded in ’08 when ads are shown to the American people that says that he doesn’t believe in a war on terror.

FormerLiberal on April 27, 2007 at 9:48 PM

Glad to see Edwards grow a pair and hammer that final nail into his political career instead of letting his wife have the last swing.

SailorDave on April 27, 2007 at 9:52 PM

Its a sad day when HILLARY is the the RIGHT of most of the democratic posers up there.

Goes to show how radical and out of the mainstream the democrats have become.

William Amos on April 27, 2007 at 9:57 PM

“Global War on Terror?”, I thought we weren’t supposed to use that term any more……. maybe “Police Action“, or “Criminal Offense” would be better…..

PinkyBigglesworth on April 27, 2007 at 9:57 PM

Am I the only one who thinks it looks like the other three (Obama, Richardson, Dodd) paused, saw Hillary, and followed her lead?

DPierre on April 27, 2007 at 10:04 PM

I honestly think Edwards is the most “detached” candidate in the field. Of course there’s Kucinich, but he’s not “detached” he’s nuckin’ futs.

Formerliberal is right, that’ll make a great commercial in 08.

commonsensehoosier on April 27, 2007 at 10:06 PM

Hillary also answered the question on retaliation correctly also.
Edwards, not so much, cause he lives in that other Amerika.

I can’t stand Hildebeast, but I am telling you the first country that crosses her is going bye bye.

djohn669 on April 27, 2007 at 10:20 PM

Didn’t Monty Python do this already? I’m pretty certain the Dems have plagiarized the “Spot the Loony” sketch here.

Spiny Norman on April 27, 2007 at 10:31 PM

As bad as Hillary may be, she’s not stupid. She at the very least knows enough to say there is a WoT even if she herself doesnt believe it.

One thing about the Clintons and their advisors, they will not go against a large majority. As long as most Americans undersand there is a terrorist problem, she’ll at least pay it lip service.

I personally think she does believe it though, I’ve no doubt her husband looks back and knows now he should have done more.

“Yes! Quite right…..A viewer from Preston there who’s pointed out correctly that the entire panel are loonies”

Five points to S. Norman there! ;-)

TwinkietheKid on April 27, 2007 at 10:38 PM

I like how Dodd looked around to see who was raising (or if anyone else was) before he did.

MirCat on April 27, 2007 at 10:43 PM

The way she raised her hand was like a little 8 year old moppet asking to “go potty”.

(The rest are even more beneath contempt.)

profitsbeard on April 27, 2007 at 10:49 PM

It’s no wonder the Democratic Party is so full of defeatist when half their Presidential candidates wont even acknowledge there’s a war in the first place.

Yakko77 on April 27, 2007 at 10:57 PM

Stupid question, “do you beleive there is a global war on terrorism?” Bah…..The republicrats wanted to show they were doing something right away so they launched this engagement without thinking it through first. Afganistan is one thing, AQ was there and should have been taken out, and don’t get me wrong, Saddam should have been taken out as well. But the real enemy was never identified and no candidate on either side of the political divide can even bring themselves to say it’s name….Islam. Until Islam is defeated you can kill all the terrorists you want, there will always be more. Of course that says nothing about the encroachment of Sharia accross the EU, Asia, Austrailia, the US, and everywhere else.

Ask the question “Should we launch a global war to eliminate the classic Islamic theology”. Give me a candidate that will answer “yes” to that one and he/she gets my vote. Needless to say I’m not holding my breath.

Those 8 years in the White House are nothing to sneeze at. She is a savvy politician.

Simon says raise your hands.

What a bunch of media lap dogs.

dingoatemebaby on April 27, 2007 at 11:00 PM

So those with their hands up are dreaming about what they’ll be doing in December 2008 and rest are dreaming about what they’ll be doing come March.

Dusty on April 27, 2007 at 11:00 PM

It’s fun to think of other questions that might have garnered the same response.

“Raise your hand if you’ve ever read the Constitution of the United States.”

“Raise your hand if you’re willing to pretend you believe anything whatsoever if it will enhance your chances of winning the White house.”

“Raise your hand if you were relieved when Sanjaya was booted from ‘American Idol.’”

“Raise your hand if you’ve ever seen a member of the opposite sex naked.”

“Raise your hand if you do not believe you currently have an alien transmitter implanted somewhere in your body.”

Blacklake on April 27, 2007 at 11:22 PM

The answer of course is “no”. The question should have been “should there be a global war on terror?”. All the hands would have went up and then they’d have to explain why they are opposed to those few, as opposed to “the globe”, who are currently fighting the terrorists.

Perchant on April 27, 2007 at 11:27 PM

Blacklake on April 27, 2007 at 11:22 PM ROFL no no stop stop……..

sonnyspats1 on April 27, 2007 at 11:32 PM

I know that its Hillary. I do have to give her credit that she is sticking to her guns on her vote, unlike the spineless garbage around her.

Not that being half-right on the war (acknowledging that there is in fact a war going on) is impressive, but she’s doing so at the risk of isolating chunks of the nutroot base, so she apparently has a set.

Literally and figuratively.

Good Lt on April 27, 2007 at 11:33 PM

A stupid question in my opinion.

Is there a “War on Drugs” going on right now? Yes. But that yes/no answer doesn’t get to the substance. Is it working? Should we be doing it? Should it be changed in any way, how?

Replace drugs with terror; virtually the same thing. I think it’s an easy question to get tripped up against and it doesn’t really answer any question at all. If I were asked out of the blue like that without a chance to think I might not even raise my hand (although I do believe a “War on Terror” is occurring).

Nonfactor on April 27, 2007 at 11:38 PM

Hillary Clinton, master triangulator, had better believe that there’s a global war on terror. After all, that carpetbagger represents New York in the Senate. To paraphrase Ray Nagin, there’s “a g(honk-honk)d hole in the ground” in New York. 19 pigs who trained in Afghanistan caused carnage and devastation leading to said hole. If that’s not “global” and requiring a “war on terror,” what is?

If Hillary were representing Arkansas, I doubt she’d have raised her hand. She represents New York, though, and that’s turned out in hindsight to be a terrible strategery for the carpetbagger. As long as NY, NJ, and CT hero Rudy is in the race on the other side of the ballot, she knows she can’t forget the above facts about 9/11, either; there simply aren’t enough swing states to compensate for losing that chunk of the electoral college if you’re a dem. Yet, she has to win the primary round by appeasing the war-denying moonbats of, among other states, these three… and we’ve seen recently how many moonbats there are in CT. She’s a master at triangulation, but I’m not sure anymore that she can triangulate her way out of this tight spot.

flutejpl on April 27, 2007 at 11:45 PM

The worst part is that half of the people in this country agree with these frickin’ appeasment-whores!

Tony737 on April 27, 2007 at 11:52 PM

Well, Im glad to see that Bill Richardson managed to make an absolute fool out of himself.

Even the NM TV stations that are normally in his hip pocket are laughing at his appearance and answers at the debate.

So many people across the nation, (including a lot of conservatives) think he is pretty great. It is long past time people start to see what he really is.

LegendHasIt on April 27, 2007 at 11:53 PM

But do they believe we should win it?

The success of GWB in averting another homeland attack is the sole reason why this question can even be asked, at least among the willfully clueless. As the Weak Horse party, if we don’t soon figure out what to do about its dangerous viability as a political alternative (instead of it going the way of the Whigs, like it should), the Democrats may well succeed in forging a real alliance with our enemies. I don’t think they are capable of much else.

Halley on April 28, 2007 at 12:16 AM

I didn’t see the “debate,” but this brief video clip tells me all that I needed to know about the beat-feet and retreat Defeatocrats! LGF labeled their link here as the “Presidential Campaign Kook Watch”! Boy did they get that right!

Hot Air’s brief video clip here is so telling of the kookiness that exists in the liberal left loonie mindset.

Talk about being in total denial!

Hey…I wonder…is there rehab for such a thing??

They don’t need rehab. They purchase reality offsets.

The question was only code for, ‘If forced to choose, do you wish to be identified with mainstream America or George Soros?’

petefrt on April 28, 2007 at 1:18 AM

Was just re-reading Spenser’s book on Islam, they have been on attack for more than a millenium and are masters at propoganda. We have two to three generations that have lost the thread on their ruthlessness, I do hope that a new Crusade is starting to build. We do however have to get these clowns out of the way, and quickley.

Agreed. But that would be America. Constitution would be History.

That has to have been a Brain Williams idea.

Just cuz it’s so stupid…he is an empty suit if there ever was one.

benrand on April 28, 2007 at 4:56 AM

The four who didn’t raise their hands poll at about 10% combined. And 9% of that is from whatever planet Kucinich and Gravel are from. Hildebeast and Obama know this and are only triangulating (taking away a strong issue from their opponent by publicly agreeing with them).

Edwards are Biden are trying to get traction with the money-base of the Dems. Their answer is for the primaries, Clinton’s and Obama’s for the general election. But a great question for those who didn’t raise their hands, “In the wake of 9/11 and the Global War on Terror declared against the US by Al Qaida, Bin Laden and Iran, why don’t you believe that there is a GWOT?”

Of course I could be wrong. Edwards may not have heard the question because he caught a glimpse of his perfectly coifed hair in a side monitor. Biden may not have understood the question.

I wonder what the Silk Pony thinks of the War on Poverty. Is there a long term strategy? We need to cut and run from it.

That whole line of fools thinks that the only “terror” threat to the world is George W. Bush…not realizing themselves as the traitors to their Country that they are.

NRA4Freedom on April 28, 2007 at 12:39 PM

Vote Democrat, vote traitor.

georgej on April 28, 2007 at 4:16 PM

You’re fooling yourself if as a conservative the first Democrat you’d want isn’t Hillary. I know she’s Hillary and all, but at the end of the day she is about the only Democrat that I think won’t run this country into the ground and leave us massively more vulnerable to the islamic fascists. Obama and Edwards are a tie for the worst nightmare on the other side.

Patriot33 on April 29, 2007 at 2:36 PM

I wish people would quit misnaming things. It’s not a war on terror. It’s a war on terrorists. Besides, you’ll never be able to wipe out terror any more than you could prevent murderous rampages.

All you can do is be prepared to meet them head on when they occur. Taking out terrorists where they live certainly helps – like keeping known killers locked up – but your best protection for any of this is self defense and the tools you need to maintain that self defense.
