7 p.m. ET on MSNBC, which has been running a countdown ticker since this morning. What a thrill it was to wake up to find there were only eleven and a half more hours until we learn the details of Bill Richardson’s health-care plan.
If you can’t make it to a TV, C-SPAN will be simulcasting the audio. As always, we’d appreciate a heads up if something clipworthy happens. If you see something, say something.
Here’s a little light reading while you wait. Are Fox and the CBC really planning to go ahead with an event whose big draw at this point stands to be Dennis Kucinich? Hard to believe, but there you go. If you’re not in a reading mood, try the video instead. It should set the right mood for the magic that’s about to happen.
Update: All right, by wide acclaim, here’s the highlight of the evening. He does know when to shut up!

I just watched “Man of the Year” with Robin Williams last night. I wonder if they will all open with the thank you’s like in the movie. It was not nearly as bad a film as I expected.

I predict a mostly BDS bash party with lots of back slapping and “We did it we cause the US to leave Iraq” celebrations.
Followed by Dennis “Kooky” Kucinivich trying to light Hillary’s bloomers on fire for her Iraqi vote.

I wonder if watching this would satisfy my craving to watch the chronically strange and deformed at work and play?…I think so.
Jen the Neocon on April 26, 2007 at 7:10 PM
The only real difference is that the freaks costumes are more creative. Other than that, its really the same.

What was the first question? How would you rate the answers on the 1 to 10 obfuscation scale where 1 is failed miserably and 10 is managed to convince you that their position is just, and made you feel better about yourself, while still not knowing what their position is.

Kucinich needs to turn it up to 11, otherwise he’s going to be the second choice for the nutroots.

Dennis just said 650,000 Iraq citizens have died since the war began? Seriously? Come on.
When one military wife asked what their definition of Mission Accomplished would look like, they dodged.
Who just called Joe Biden arrogant? He says everyone is dying in vain. Sen. Gravel?

You know how scary it is when Hillary sounds intelligent? Kucinich says he has a gun???? Biden has a shotgun.

Viper1 on April 26, 2007 at 7:46 PM

amerpundit on April 26, 2007 at 7:46 PM
JetBoy, sorry.
amerpundit on April 26, 2007 at 7:46 PM
Obama pretty much ignored it, as well. Hillary just did it, too.
amerpundit on April 26, 2007 at 7:47 PM
The American public support the ban on partial birth abortion, but the politicans don’t agree with the American public. Wonderful.
Wouldn’t it be easier to deliver the baby at that point if the mothers health was in danger, rather than birthing the baby half way and killing it?
They act like Republicans don’t care about a woman’s health. Children’s health is so important to Democrats it seems. How does that work? I’ll kill the baby, but I still care about it’s health.
Did I just hear a Democrat say that most gun owners are law abiding? Federal government could have saved the VTech students?
Health Care: Obama just said that he’d help reduce the bankruptcies caused by medical bills. Congress and the President passed a bankruptcy bill last year that was paid for by credit card companies and made it HARDER for people will medical bills to file bankruptcy.
icelandicfarmer on April 26, 2007 at 7:49 PM
Not one Democrat has answered how they’d pay for it. Richardson says he’d hope that as Democrats he’d hope that they wouldn’t automatically got to raising taxes. He wants the people, companies, and the government to share? Isn’t that socialism?
amerpundit on April 26, 2007 at 7:49 PM
Bill Richardson sounds like he has the best Democrat health plan.

Wow. Gavel was just so clever there “I won’t hold their youth and inexperience against them”. Kucinich thought that he was funny, too. They all think they’re hysterical. These are some hell of “One Sentence Answers” here.

This isn’t a debate. It’s a therapy session for moonbats. Every sentence seems to start off with “This administration…” Who f***ing cares? This administration is gone in 2009. You aren’t running against anyone from this administration. Unserious clowns.
They’ve got nothing left except hatred for Bush.

Speaking of health care, anyone notice WalMart deciding to open 400 health clinics and eventually up to 2000 clinics in their stores by 2012? They are also inviting other companies to pitch in.
That beats any Democrat’s plan.

Wow, where did they dig up Gravel. This is Kucinich in 20 years. Edwards froze when they asked about who he looks up to morally. He has none, unless you count Ben Franklin in his wallet.
tommuck on April 26, 2007 at 8:38 PM
The low caliber quality of all these candidates is really sad. The thought of any of them being President is an absolutely shameful reflection of how far we have fallen. They are beneath snake oil salesmen. And half the country will actually vote for one of them. I want to puke.
roninacreage on April 26, 2007 at 8:38 PM
You have to like Biden’s response to the question about him being a windbag though…
Greg Tinti on April 26, 2007 at 8:50 PM
Very, very sad state to see these so called people running for POTUS. I wish just one would answer the questions or get off the stage. They are ridiculas and they better get to working on something that is really a debate. I couldn’t belive I wasted my time watching that farce of a so called debate. Elementary kids could have done so much better.
bones47 on April 26, 2007 at 8:56 PM
these aren’t debates, they are discussions. debates have prolonged back and forths to attack each other’s points. discussions are them treating us like we are kids who wouldn’t understand the answer
lorien1973 on April 26, 2007 at 8:58 PM
Still at work, so can’t watch the carnival, but the comments so far are a riot, and provide a fair gist of the proceedings.
I simply imagine Fred!s clear, simple, CONSTITUTIONALLY LEGAL, and pro-American answer to the questions I’ve heard referenced so far, and I feel safe thinking January 2009 is going to be good…

PinkyBigglesworth on April 26, 2007 at 9:38 PM
Did Obama or Hillary break in to southern accents? Did Obama claim that certain civil rights movements that happened when he was a young child somehow broke the barriers of time and lead to his birth? Did Edwards break in to yankee accent? Did Hillary or Biden insult Indian-Americans? Did Hillary equate the plight of Dems in Congress to the plight of slaves by claiming that the GOP ran it “like a plantation, and you know what I’m talking about”? Did they spend the vast majority of the time arguing that Saddam had WMDs, and then flip at the end to call Bush a liar for making the same case without batting an eyelash and without any scrutiny from anyone? Did they promise to keep emboldening the enemy, essentially promising the enemy that if they can just keep killing a few American soldiers and thousands of civilians for just a few more weeks that they’ll hand them the victory? Did they explain to us how we can ever win a war, when they’ve repeatedly vowed on to let us? Did they explain how we can win when they embolden an enemy who’s goal is only suicide and chaos, when victory would be simple if the enemy were simply told that we’re united and relentless?

Circus freaks everywhere are indignant tonight.
I didn’t watch this; not enough containers for the…and I already know there’s/are no substance/solutions – just excessive BDS and “this administration, bla, bla, bla”.
These events should really take place in arenas, similar to gladiator fights; that way huge, naive, masses could enjoy all the ‘foreplay’, the food+, and eventually the act. In typical Leftie style no one would get killed and all would go home entertained and happy. And

Re: roninacreage …
Absolutely, positively, without a doubt, one hundred percent correct!
A partial solution lies in first abolishing the U.S. Department of Education, and then work our way down, eliminating the morass of bureaucratic (slave making) federal agencies.
Perhaps, when Senator Fred Thompson tosses his hat into this ring of fools, the fun will begin.
I can hope … can’t I?
