I just find it amusing that Reid quotes Petraeus (incorrectly, of course) to back up his claim that Iraq is a lost cause only to turn around and say that Petraeus doesn’t know what he’s talking about if he reports that progress has been made. That’s a flip-flop that would turn John Kerry’s stomach.

Which is it, “Senator?” Does General Petraeus have credibility or doesn’t he?

It was harder to see when we didn’t have our little internet run-around on the Gramscian MSM establishment.

Senator Hairy Weed should keep this up. He could make history.

After all, no US Senator has ever been successfully impeached.

But seriously, folks, if the Democrat party continues to follow the path it’s on, the blowback could knock them so far they’ll be trying to catch up with the Greens.

I’m convinced we need opposition parties in US politics. I’m not as convinced as I used to be that the Democrats have to be one of those parties. If they want to marginalize themselves out of existence, fine with me. I just hope someone less loony can take their place.

This just in Harry Reid:

No war is won militarily. War is politics and the military is a tool used to impose a political end. Petraeus is an educated man (PhD from Princeton) and knows this. Reid is knowingly using this quote out of context.

Case in point: We kicked the crap out of the Vietnamese in the 1960s and lost.

You would think that some news people would pick up on this and make ol’ Harry eat his words.
