The Democratic presidential hopeful brought out the whole family for the “low-dollar” event at the West Side’s Pier 94. But Bill Clinton and their daughter, Chelsea, left the limelight to the candidate, who found herself struggling with a faulty microphone.

“This reminds me of one of my favorite American heroines, Harriet Tubman,” the senator told 1,800 cheering supporters when her mike was restored.

“She made it to freedom after having been a slave and she got to New York and she could have been so happy . . . but she kept going back down South to bring other freed slaves to freedom.

“And she used to say, ‘No matter what happens, keep going,’ ” Hillary Clinton said. “So we’re going to keep going until we take back the White House!”

So the Democrats are slaves and Hillary is Harriet Tubman? Or the black audiences are the slaves? This is actually odd because I actually named her Hillary Tubman last year after she told a Harlem audience on MLK Jr. day that the GOP was running the house “… like a plantation, and you know what I’m talkin’ about!” Now she’s freeing slaves again, and at least twice has put on that disgusting southern accent. Sadly she’s been cheered when she’s done it.

Again, the media should end her over this behavior, but they obviously won’t.

Harriet Tubman was a REPUBLICAN.

As were ALL of the original black abolitionists and civil rights leaders, including MLK.

Nobody knows that we have been suing the Democratic National Party for reparations, (in the form of an apology only!) for their historically documented part in terrorism in the US through the use of the KKK and other means to replace black Republican leaders with Democrats over the years.

My only wish is that the contest between Barry Hussein Obama and Hillary Rodham is so bitter and so filled with vitriol, that the the part of the Democrat Party that doesn’t see their candidate get the nod, stays home in 2008.

Sure, a Gore presidency would be a nightmare. But it’d be a FUNNY nightmare.

Really, apart from the ability to nominate SCOTUS judges, as long as we have a deadlocked Congress does it really matter who is President?

I mean, look at all of the new precedents…. Pelosi has put the House in charge of foreign policy, Reid has put the Senate in charge of the military and conduct of war, Bush has abdicated the veto power of the Executive Branch by not using his pen once in 7 freakin years, and on, and on.

So maybe Gore won’t be so bad. If the entire government is going to act like a kindergarden class, let’s put a clown in charge.

Ironically, I think the Goracle draws from everybody but Hillary. Her supporters are the hardcore feminists who are more politically savvy than the nutroots. So Gore’s run will make a hillary nomination more likely and for that reason I am all for it. She is too shrill and disliked to win the presidency. Morris is just wrong.

That might actually be some awful smart politics.

Add in all of the usual Democrat voters, toss in a helping of moonbats … and then add all of the people who would vote for a Clinton/Obama ticket ONLY because there is both a woman and a black on the ticket … and that’s a lot of votes.

If Democrats were smart, they’d be thinking like that. Fortunately, they aren’t smart.

That said, I’m not sure what to make of this. I’m not sure Hillary can win if she can’t maintain that look of inevitability, and I’m not sure I want Obama to be the nom because Hillary might be easier to beat given how she’s entirely unlikeable. Of course if Gore runs this throws everything off predictionwise.

After september or so, when these candidates have to start actually taking positions on things…

Don’t bet the ranch on that. That’s what was said in late ’05 about the ’06 elections, and the Dems never did take any position except “I’m not Bush”. I think they’ll be carried through the primaries on talking points without details and – even though Bush isn’t running – will get away mostly with variations on “I’ll repair Bush’s damage”.

“Many of you are well enough off that … the tax cuts may have helped you,” Sen. Clinton said. “We’re saying that for America to get back on track, we’re probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.”

And I am, too. I’m hoping for a Gore/Edwards ticket. Guaranteed to lose, and guaranteed to provide countless hours of hilarious entertainment.

It sure is amazing that the DUmmies actually think Gore could win, though. He makes Hillary seem electable.

Hell, I might vote for Gore. Imagine the fun you could have with a President Gore – imagine watching him have to actually DEAL with emissions and other environmental issues, rather than blabble about it. Imagine the liberals dismay when we don’t all run our cars on windmills overnight.

Imagine the fun conservative bloggers would have tallying up Gore’s “carbon footprint” every time he took a trip in Air Force One.
