Okay, I’m sure Muslims have said it before, but it was brought into the public vernacular and turned into a talking-point of sorts by Bush in a speech 6 days after 9/11.

I just found it ironic Pinky was attempting to lead a crusade to uncover where the term came from and who was using it by throwing the blame on everyone’s favorite Democratic scapegoats when in reality its origin can be traced back to everyone’s favorite neocon.

I’m a fan of irony, what can I say?

J22, Bush didn’t “coin the phrase”. Muslims have been calling it that for centuries. It’s all part of their P.R. propaganda. A muslim army would surround a Jewish or pagan village and tell them to either convert, submit or die. “See how peaceful we are? We give you a chance to join us before we kill you.” They’re still using the same play book … they call it the Koran.

I call BS to the whole “religion of peace” statement.

Who said it? Where is the proof? You can’t swing a dead cat in the air without hitting some jihadist wanting to kill you and yours on his way to find virgins because he was “told to do so” in a mosque.

Who? Who said this was a religion of peace? Who stands by it today? Where are they? Where is the proof? Where are the acts of policing their own? Where are the moderates going after the extremist? Who?

Harry Reid? Ted Kennedy? Bill and Hillary Clinton? Lurch? WHO?????? Let’s name names people, search the blogs, search the Internet, find me the “Religion of Peace”……..

I realize I had a comment removed here in the last few days, having said that, if you wish to remove this one that is certainly your right.

Anyone who calls for the death of an individual in the United States should be rounded up and locked up or in the interest of saving tax dollars incarcerating them, either shipped to the backwards country of their choice or taken out and given a lethal injection. This is of course my opinion.

Another example of the “moderate” Muslim. When, when, when is the majority of the electorate and their representatives going to wake up to what Islam really is?

Threats against someone in the United States by someone living here should be aggressively prosecuted. I would appreciate Zorro following up and letting know if he gets a response and what the content of that response is if he gets one.

There was quite an interesting article in the New York Times magazine a year or so ago which pointed out the fact that AFRICAN/HAITIAN/CUBAN/TRINIDADIAN/ETC. Americans who are black DON’T qualify as “African“-American. You know: the hyphenated, Sharpton kind.

Needless to say, there were quite a few pissed off, newly disenfranchised Marines in major dad’s office when they read it and found out “African-American” was an exclusive club. Here this whole time they thought you just had to be black and now the Jesse/Al crowd was telling them they didn’t count/weren’t ‘real‘ blacks.

As for Sharpton and Ayli, she’s an actual African-American (well, or soon-to-be American; I don’t recall her current immigration status). That’s a bad thing for Sharpton; people actually originating from African cultures–and particularly those willing to point out how scummy they are–undermine the identity politics of those dedicated to differentiating themselves as “African” solely by virtue of their skin color.
