Great Reporting.
What hypocrisy.
iNeXuS on April 20, 2007 at 9:47 AM
Hehe, I’m so glad that Sharpton is suffering backlash after inserting himself into the Imus situation. Keep up the great work Michelle!
Benaiah on April 20, 2007 at 10:02 AM
OUCH! It’s about damn time someone put this into a short soundbite:
BRAVO! Well done Hot Air!!
heroyalwhyness on April 20, 2007 at 10:02 AM
Michelles Vents keep getting better and better. She should use her contacts at FOX to get them broadcast to an even wider audience. BTW, isn’t Bill O’Reilly also sharing the stage with Sharpton at this thing?
ctmom on April 20, 2007 at 10:09 AM
Michelle, You’ve got to get that message across to “Papa-Bear.” He frequently gives Sharpton a platform and rarely, if ever, challenges him. For example, Papa-Bear had Sharpton on a few months ago to discuss the Duke case. It was clear at that point the whole thing was a hoax. Papa-Bear brought up other hoaxes but never mentioned the one most similar in which his guest was involved, Tawana Brawley.

Spot ON!
MalkinFan on April 20, 2007 at 10:24 AM
And don’t forget, Geraldo said on O’Reilly that Sharpton was the most important civil rights leader of this time. What an a** kisser he is.
Glynn on April 20, 2007 at 10:40 AM
Michelle,Michelle.
Woman, you have such a way with words. Your opening remarks gave me goosebumps. Keep the facts coming. Never, ever, give up.

I hope that Geraldo Rivera gets a copy of the video as he believes the Rev. Al is a great civil rights leader who unfortunately made one big mistake in the Tawana Brawley matter. Michelle’s jaw dropped when Geraldo said this last week when she was filling in on “The O’Reilley Factor,”, but did not come back with any of the devastating quotes presented here.
Listening to Sharpton live is scary. He is Hitleran in his delivery. No wonder he has expressed admiration for Hitler.
ptolemy on April 20, 2007 at 10:54 AM
On occasion, Michelle, and HotAir venture into that territory where conservatives will disagree with each other and attempt to police the worst behavior of our friends.
Let their be little doubt that both O’Reilly and Hannity have repeatedly aired this scumbag racist pig charlatan Sharpton on television, and attempted to provide him with an air of dignite that he is undeserving of, and incapable of creating on his own.
They do this for one reason: they seem to think that he will improve their Fox News show ratings, and make them more money. O’Reilly and Hannity should be shunned, even as you most properly attempt to stain the Democrats with the filth that is Sharpton.
Jaibones on April 20, 2007 at 11:19 AM
The one thing that really pi$$es me off about Bill O is his deference to sharpton. Why does he kiss his a$$ everytime he comes on his show?
csdeven on April 20, 2007 at 11:33 AM
Hannity calls him to the carpet. O’Reilly doesn’t. Let him hang himself with his own words. If the right ignores him, who exposes him?
Pablo on April 20, 2007 at 11:37 AM
Exactly! Al should be provided the same scrutiny that Imus was given.
csdeven on April 20, 2007 at 11:38 AM
I think you may have missed a lot of Seans tirads against sharpton. Now, I haven’t seen him challenge Al face to face, so maybe that is what you are refering to. But definately, Bill O snuggles up to Als a$$ like it’s a warm blanket on a cold night everytime he appears on Bill’s show.
It’s sickening!
csdeven on April 20, 2007 at 11:40 AM
Dude.

Jaibones on April 20, 2007 at 11:56 AM
AP, you could make this angry white male very happy today by adding Hannity’s stupid face to the montage above with the Rev. Al Jackson.
Sadly, it might undermine the story line about the Party of Hate.
Jaibones on April 20, 2007 at 11:58 AM
I love “The Party of Hate in Two Thousand and Eight”
Nice MM
Dread Pirate Roberts VI on April 20, 2007 at 12:00 PM
Jaibones,
Yep, you’re right. I wonder what BS excuse he uses when he kisses Als feet? Bill O’s was pathetic. He blamed it on Bernie Goldberg. He said he had to give Al equal time.
Blech!
csdeven on April 20, 2007 at 12:05 PM
I wouldn’t be surprised if Al has some kind of canned statement written into agreements to appear that make the Tawana incident “off limits”. From what I have read celebrities do this with the talk shows to avoid embarrassing subjects.
Bradky on April 20, 2007 at 12:25 PM
csdeven,
You see that? He has the guy’s face on his web site as a feature. He had debased himself to the point where Sharpton is a worthy opponent. Sharpton is a worthy opponent for a snake.
Using any standard of self respect, he would be doing what AP is doing, and ridiculing those who lower themselves to even appear with him. He should be nameless.
F**k Hannity. He’s a joke and he discredits conservatives. I used to beat up guys like him in grade school.
Jaibones on April 20, 2007 at 12:32 PM
Great Vent Michelle!
In my opinion Sharpton is more interested in catering to black racisim than the ideals advocated by King. He encourages and promotes black seperatism for his own poltical gain and is not concerned with reality or ideals of unity as Americans.
Thank you Michelle for dealing with this subject before the next election.

The party of Hate Indeed!
What do we want? Justice
When do we want it? Never, cause then Al would be out of a job.

I haven’t seen, witnessed, or even heard of any racist activities in or around Littleton/Denver Colorado for 20 years other than a very rare TV news story biased in it’s delivery. It just doesn’t exist in most places anymore.
The race problem today is in the mind and cold-hearts of Sharpton and Jackson, the fake reverends. The Sharptonites.
With out race ‘issues’ those people have no value, no jobs, nothing to do. Its guys like sharptonites ( the party of hate in 2008) that keep racism alive.

We need to hammer on that party of hate thing. Hard.
Bob's Kid on April 20, 2007 at 5:03 PM
Michelle, that was a tremendous Vent.
And your comment at the end, “the Party of Hate in two thousand and eight”, rings true and will make a best selling Hot Air bumper sticker for the election season. I’ll take a dozen.
Zorro on April 20, 2007 at 8:55 PM
Party of hate 2008! I love it. It is almost cliché – Vent just gets better and better. Every Vent I see is my favorite. I hope the dhimms get spanked!

Wow! I’m really impressed with Michelle’s opening to that segment. Dare I say…it…was…almost…like…rap music(without the derogatory words, of course)?
imandrew on April 20, 2007 at 10:58 PM
That was just amazing.
How the democrats get away with this is just shocking.

Great Vent Michelle.
Surprising use of the “n-word” by Mr. Sharpton. /sarc
Nice hat too. Got me one just like it.

Great slogan for 2008. Must keep this going. MM you’re very courageous to ‘roast’ this sanctimonious ‘lamb’.
Entelechy on April 21, 2007 at 2:55 PM
And in despair I bowed my head:
“There is no peace on earth,” I said,
“For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.”
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men.
GoodBoy on April 21, 2007 at 4:21 PM
Today I watched part of the Sharpton-shindig from last Thursday, on C-Span. It was a panel of journalists, Black and other.
The most disgusting things were Rita Cosby and Brian Williams’ self-congratulatory statements on how the reporters have to be “advocates” regarding everything, especially race, Imus…At one point Brian Williams said “and give us credit for our humanity”, and “…and we know which slice of society is serving in Iraq” – or words to these extents.
These are our ‘reporters’ of today. “Activists”! Kiss objective news reporting good-bye – not that we didn’t know that already. They just said it with their own golden mouths.

Michelle, you look tired. Take care of yourself, k?

You know, the minute I saw this, I thought you looked tired.
I did not mention it, because I know you are smart enough to take care of yourself.
But, please take it from One who knows. Please take care of your health. OK?
