So true. I got my first gun when I was 8 years old, a 20 gauge shotgun. My father gave me a 22 rifle for Xmas when I was 12.

I used to walk down the street with my gun after school and go target shooting in a farmers field with my friends about two blocks from my house.

Nobody ever called the police and as it was just the normal thing to do and it was not illegal then.

Keep in mind this was in the suburbs of Los Angeles.

Today, there would be a SWAT team called out and me and my friends would be thrown in jail.

It just illustrates how guns have been demonized in this country and how many freedoms and liberty we have lost.

I have concealed weapons permits in two states and I can’t have guns, loaded or unloaded, in my vehicles or on my person when I go to work. Twice when I’ve taken out my pocket knife to peel an orange or open an envelope during school, a student has complained in writing to my assistant principal that she was scared when she saw it. The blade is two inches long! I was warned both times. Are we going to take the utility knives out of the custodians’ closet? I asked. Will we take carving knives away from the cooks?

We’re beyond ridiculous already. Time to put gun control in reverse and try to remember what Americans used to be like.

My wife, who doesn’t usually get into politically detailed commentary, said just after Rosie was hired that it was to provide plausible deniability for Barbara. At first I didn’t get her meaning. She said we know Barbara has been a hard-core liberal her whole life, but learned to play it close to the vest for ratings and credibility. Now she has a mouthpiece (Rosie) to say those things while she sits at the far end of the table. This is just continuing proof of my wife’s genius.

Barbara occasionally “seems” to disagree with Rosie, but given the level of outrageous garbage she spews, hatred Don Imus has never known, she’s still the headline player of the show. Kobe Bryant never hogged the ball as much as Rosie hogs the microphone. And Kobe would get fired sooner.

Where I come from, being loud on top of being wrong makes you look twice as dumb.

None of them can have anyone protect them by a gun, and they cannot protect themselves with a gun, ever, in all eternity.

That means, to use Rosie O’Donnel as an example, she cannot employ anyone who is armed to escort or protect her children or to act as her body guard, ever.

It also means that they, themselves, are never, ever, permitted to own a gun or to defend themselves with a firearm.

It also means that they are never, ever permitted to employ the use of any security personnel of any kind at any time, be they staying in a Hotel while traveling, or in an office building, no where under any circumstances, who carries a weapon. No one many ever draw or be in possession of a firearm in order to protect any of them.

It also means that they cannot call 9-1-1 and expect a police officer to come to their aid. They cannot have armed police responding to their calls for distress, nor can a neighbor who is armed respond to any attack on their person and draw a weapon and protect them with that firearm.

No longer can Rosie, Barbara, Joy, or anyone else tell the rest of us who are not celebrities, that it is okay for them to employ the possession of a firearm, or employ hired body guards who are armed by a firearm, or any other variation of same.

Rosie, Barbara, Joy, and others, must also cease and desist from acting all concerned and sad after mass murders, or even individual rapes, robberies, kidnappings, and murders are perpetrated upon any man, woman, or child, especially when that man, woman, or child is not armed, including not armed with a firearm, with which they can protect themselves.

Their outrage should be for the victim’s lack of ability to adequately defend herself, especially by employing the proper, skilled use of a firearm.

It looks to me like Bobwa got together behind the scenes with The Spew’s producers and they have worked out a way to “handle” Rosie until she gets past this current manic episode by “containing/boxing her in and making nice & humoring her on the set (“I’m so said that you’ve given up…”) See what I mean- take a look at Rosie’s daily video blog where she answers viewer mail. In this case she answers 3 softball questions and when she gets to the one where a viewer is going back to Iraq for the 2nd time in a year and wants Rosie to go and speak directly to the Iraqi people about the war. As if on cue, Bobwa appears to drop in. Rosie never does go back to the question. Someone on this blog said the other day that ABC is exploiting Rosie like the Bravo channel exploited Anna Nicole as she spiralled out of control. That is exactly how watching Rosie feels.(One important difference between the two women is that Anna didn’t try to pretend she was smart and Rosie mistakenly thinks she smarter than Anna).
