Mr Spencer does his usual good job. Now for a historical perspective: The Nazis were into the occult big time, something often overlooked. And in the mideast in World War II, Nazis, Baathists (thugocracy) and Wahabis were bosom buddies. Why is this?

The desire for utopia—a restoration of the Garden of Eden—-has led to more mass murder than any other physchological factor driving the human race. Paul Johnson has called it “secular millenarism” and Murray Rothbard referred to it as “post-millennial existential pietism”. It is not unique to any theology or professed non-theology> Jews, for example, have been its most frequent victims but have also been known to try the same thing on others.
The thing to remember is that humanism—the desire to “perfect” the human species—–is not only impossible, it is downright undesirable. Any man-made definition of perfection must necessarily involve the extinction of the human species!
Nonetheless, the unholy desire will not vanish from the affairs of man. Whenever it arises, its adherents are as a class immune to reason. And as Bibi Netanyahu has observed, the trouble abates only when the fanatics despair. ‘Nuff said.

For those of you who did not view the vent for yesterday 16 April, go into the vault and see what Walid Phares has to say. It is important.

The similarities between the present jihad movement and WWII Nazism seem almost supernatural, like some demonic entity that lies dormant for decades, and then awakens to wreak death and destruction on humanity.

Good Fellows. Below the radar screen. So many similarities, so many lessons not learned. Watching history repeating itself.

Is it politically correct to make this an issue for 08?

Great Vent Robert Spencer!

There is such a strong similarity between Nazi methods and the Islamofacist that it is hard to miss it. The problem lies in the Left’s influence on our government and law enforcement. I believe that the issue is not that law enforcement does not see what is behind the “terrorist”, Islamic doctrine, but that they are prohibited from profile on that basis because of the politically correct notions of “multiculturalism” and “tolerance” championed by the Left.

In my opinion it will take disaster for the Left to loose influence for common sense to be applied to our defense. The biggest single weakness this country has is the influence of the left, their notions of “multiculturalism, and their attack on nationalism - the identification of all citizens as Americans. This will not change until the Left looses power and their ideology seen for the weakness it is.

Great Vent once again Robert!

Your words and descriptions are like a perfectly ground lens that help us focus on the topic, cutting through all the “haze” of political correctness…

Thanks.

I think it’s called “evil”, yes, it is very real…..

Keep up the good work Robert, perhaps one day the West’ll wake the hell up and hear you.
