Video: Rosie responds to DeLay, explains her “ching-chong” joke

Another day, another unhinged rant from Rosie. Last week, Tom DeLay called for Rosie to get the Imus treatment.
And for the contextual icing on the cake, where are the repercussions for Rosie O’Donnell’s hateful, idiotic accusations that President Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks? And her ignorant parody of the Chinese language? Or her comparison of conservative Christians to Islamo-fascist terrorists? Why has ABC not suspended her from The View? Why has she not been frog-marched up to some radio show to apologize to 9/11 victims/Chinese-American activists/evangelical Christians?
What the Left is doing is not a fluke – it’s a concerted strategy. And it works. So if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. That’s why I am calling on conservatives to use the available media (radio talk shows, blogs, letters to the editor) to protest and demand that Rosie O’Donnell be kicked off The View. Where are the demonstrations in front of ABC? Where are the boycott threats for The View’s advertisers, or its parent company, Disney? Who is holding Barbara Walters accountable for Rosie’s offenses? We can fight like the Left, too. If Don Imus falls to the pleas of political correctness, we’re taking Rosie O’Donnell down with him.
And that, my fellow conservatives, is how the Left wins. Now it’s our turn. Charge it to our heads, not our hearts.
Well, here’s one Rosie boycott.
Today, the rotund oracle responded on her blog in her usual kindergarten way:

Note: To this day, Tom DeLay has never been convicted of any crime Ronnie Earle has indicted him for. He is not, therefore, a criminal.
Today, Rosie continued her attack on DeLay. Sarcastically calling him a “man of high moral standards,” Rosie attacked the former Congressman for writing about her “ching-chong” joke, claiming he is not “supportive of the plight of Chinese in America” like she is. (Moral Authority Card, anyone?) Yes, because saying “ching-chong” over and over is being supportive of the Chinese. Rosie explained her “joke” was funny because of the absurdity of a drunk actor making international news. Haha, get it?

On a related note, Bill O’Reilly responded to Rosie and Frank Rich’s false claim that he used the term “wetback.”

I think if Rosie is booted, it should be due to her general lunacy and incompetance driving views and advertisers away, not for her speech. However, she should be held accountable for her speech and be made to defend the crap that comes out of mouth.
I like how DeLay is, in a roundabout way, challenging the left and the media to hold Rosie to the same standards as Imus and let her feel the white hot glare of the interrogation light as she spins her racial and anti-american comments.

Lord, she is disgusting. I am surprised she can stay in her seat she is spinning so much. Here are three items from that clip where she is trying to “cover her ass.” [insert fat ass joke here ;-)].
1. She finally admitted that Danny Devito was drunk on her show. I don’t recall her stating that when this all first occurred.
2. She says she made a “joke,” while Imus was calling names. I believe Imus tried to explain his statement away as a joke also.
3. She absolutely said that Trump had been bankrupt. Now she is trying to claim that she said his company(s) had been bankrupt.

From the point of view of a left wing democrat, the Chinese communitty, by being hardworking and successful is blowing their chance to become the next great victim group and to get on the express train to all kinds of free governemnt programs and goodies.
This is the plight of Asians in America today, they are so successful and hard working that they are missing their chance for their fair share of Affirmitive Action and government handouts.
This is, no doubt, what Rosie is reffering to.

I’m not sure what this plight is, although I wonder how it stacks up against the plight of Chinese in China. I guess I’ll Google it.
In any case, Rosie cares more than I do, and for that matter, more than anyone does. And that is what’s most important. She’s just a better person than you are.

Rosie states “facts and opinions”?
Unfortunately, her opinions frequently get mixed up with her so-called facts…thus becoming indistinguishable from each other.
Again, on a show called “The View”, I see nothing wrong with Rosie ranting one way or another…it’s her “view”. She’s not a politician (thank gawd) and as long as the show pulls in the ratings, and the moolah, I don’t see ABC doing anything about her…

Rosie is one of the worst “debaters” on any topic I have ever seen. Tom DeLay’s lack of activism in the Chinese-American/Chinese communities has nothing to do with Rosie’s ill-concieved “ching ching chong chong” humor. Yet she implies in this clip that he has no right, essentially, to call her out for her overt racism because of this. Apples and Oranges. Plenty of people in the Asian-American community protested against her stereotype, Michelle being one of many. Sauce that’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Imus is out, Rosie should be out.

Rosie is allowed to determine what is a joke and what is racist, so state Rosie. Likewise, Rosie is allowed to determine what is a legitimate dissenting opinion, so states Rosie.
Unfortunately Rosie also wants the Watcher position over everybody else.

My goodness… seeing screencaps of the Trapper Keeper on Hot Air’s main page day after day is giving me heartache.
Any chance we could get some more MKH (or perhaps a return of Bethany) to compensate?
I spotted the link on Drudge yesterday to Rosie’s blog and clicked on it. I feel… soiled. I showed that page to my girlfriend, who is a 5th grade writing teacher. She took a look and then commented that even her worst student writes better than Rosie.
Horrid writing syntax aside, the way she connects her “thoughts” together in her writing gives insight into a disturbed mind. I really think she needs professional help.
It is a shame ABC is exploiting her in this fashion. It would seem The View is being watched for the same reason people tuned into the The Anna Nicole Show; trainwreck in progress!
