Video: Michelle talks VTech, O’Reilly apologizes for Malik Shabazz
posted at 10:01 pm on April 16, 2007 by Allahpundit
I think we all suspected it was coming but not until tonight was Shabazz’s bannination from the Factor formally announced. It almost seems too harsh: as the boss says, and as Michael Steele, Deroy Murdock, Thomas Sowell, and countless other minority conservatives can attest, the sentiment he expressed is perfectly mainstream within the left. He simply went about it a little more crassly than usual.
As for VTech, what can you say? What can anyone say?

Shabazz is now the face of the “unhinged” left.

Shabazz’s diatribe was over the top. He deserved to be banned. I also have to agree with Bill that this guy is marginalized in the black community. He’s a fringe element like Mfume. The black community needs its more rational leaders to step up and be the voice of the black community. Get these weirdo’s off the air – permanently.

By the way, Michelle was right – this guy is a spineless coward. If he can appear on the Factor and not have the guts to say to Bill’s face what he said to Michelle, then he is not a man.
thedecider on April 16, 2007 at 10:14 PM
hehe
As for Bill saying Michelle is like 5’1″, all I know is that when I watched the vids of her in Iraq, next to the troops I kept thinking “She’s so tiny.”
By the headline I thought Bill was being an apologist for him.
Good on her for noting that people should be able to defend themselves.

Michelle was great that night. Shabazz looked and acted like a bully, and was clearly unable to remain civil. Not all blacks will give the time of day to that clown, but for those few souls who do, the MSM will listen to their voices over the more conservative ones.
I’m so frustrated by all of that naivete out there. I fear for both the future of the republic, as well as race relations in general.
It’s Bill’s show. I agree with him that Shabazz should be banned.
itzWicks on April 16, 2007 at 10:26 PM
Racist morons like Shabazz shouldn’t be given free rein of the airwaves to spout their drivel. Let them stand on the sidewalk and exercise their free speech rights, like all the other nut-jobs.

Malik Zulu Shabazz…….. in his own words….
PinkyBigglesworth on April 16, 2007 at 10:39 PM
Yeah, he’s so far out there it’s better to let him talk and embarrass the left. Michelle handled it just fine, she’s a big girl.
Well, DKos doesn’t even have a post on it on their main page right now… unless you count a mention in the “Gonzales Hearing Postponed” post.
The HuffPo crowd is having the predictable NRA bashing fest, and as always stupidly acting like gun laws will stop murderers from shooting people.
RightWinged on April 16, 2007 at 10:47 PM
Michelle,
Thanks for being a beacon of truth. When the truth is put out there as you have done, it does make it harder for the agenda driven spin doctors to weave their lies into the fabric of our daily lives, trials, and tribulations.
Keep up the good work!

If you want security, buy a gun. If you want longevity, learn how to use it. If you want freedom, carry it. There is nothing worth more than freedom you win for yourself. There is nothing more valuable to that end than the tools of the right that make it possible.

Sorry to continue my dissidence (is that a word?), but I can’t give O’Reilly a whole bunch of credit on this. Why does he put that piece of garbage on tv to start with? Why does he put Sharpton on tv? Or that cockroach Hernandez?
He should stick to responsible, intelligent, and educated commentators, not street punks. If nothing else, Michelle deserved a legitimate guest to discuss the issue, not some racist gangster.
Screw O’Reilly.

Shabazz’s ignorance on The Factor was only surpassed by his racially motivated hatred. The New Black Panther Party’s behavior during the Duke University rape case was pure thuggery, replete with death threats to the accused. I thought Michelle’s reaction was outstanding. I hope those of the black community who witnessed the wicked verbal assault against Michelle will distance themselves from that kind of outdated self defeating thinking. All Hail Michelle a true CULTURE WARRIOR!

I’m glad KP agreed that the gun grabbers greedily rubbing their paws together are being irresponsible and obnoxious.
Bad Candy on April 16, 2007 at 11:29 PM
Unfortunately the black community allows idiots like this to speak for them. Imagine if whites allowed the likes of David Duke to go on television and speak for all of white-America? Would that ever happen? Yet the black equivalents of David Duke are brought out time and again because (apparently) there are no other spokespersons.

Sharpton/Jackson/Shabazz…they’re all the same…so why does the media give them a voice?
SouthernGent on April 16, 2007 at 11:57 PM
thedecider on April 16, 2007 at 11:46 PM Yes it seems that way, but I’m sure a large portion of African Americans are smart enough to realize that a certian unity with their fellow Americans is the best way for all of us.

Exposing the Cretan Shabazz on national TV is fantastic.
His group may be fringe but the hate speak is much wider spread than I think Mr O’Reilly believes.
When does the biased Mr Jackson get his comeuppance?
I’d love to see Jason Whitlock on Fox to show how great a difference there is between Jason and those who would hold him and the entire Black community down and dependent, not to mention the national abdication of our self respect and individual freedoms in an eternal pander mode of politically correct subjugation.
Bravo, bravo. More, more!

Shabizatch found out what happens when he takes his nonsensical rhetoric and uses it in a live venue… he gets beat down by people like Michelle.
sidenote: Allah, the headline, Video: Michelle talks VTech, O’Reilly apologizes for Malik Shabazz makes it seem like O’Reilly defends Shabazz not bans him.

MM may be only 5′-1″ in heighth but she is 9 feet tall when it comes to backing her play with words ! I would rather have her watching my back that a host of others any day.
DoctorDentons on April 17, 2007 at 6:54 AM
The tragedy is that Shabazz has not been called to account for his statements before he was shown the door.
ah…he wouldn’t admit them anyway. What a dirtbag.

Now lets see if Bill has the guts to ban Al Sharpton.
I cannot figure out why he continues to give him a platform to make his racist rants on FoxNews.

First Imus and now Russert? This is turning into a regular Donner party, as the liberals begin to eat their own.
