Video: Kerry changes mind on 2008 run?

Is JF Kerry running in 2008? Waffles waffles.
He says he would only run if the “field changed” or the “dynamics of the nation shifted”. Whatever that means. However, unfortunately for Republicans, he currently doesn’t “foresee” joining the race in the near future.
Come on John, we’re only 19 months out from the election. Make up your mind.

What an ass… Frankenstein, I’ll say this one more time YOU CAN’T WIN. The only reason people voted for you in the first place was because you weren’t Bush.. it’s not like you’re anyone’s hero and no one cares if you run (except the MSM that got cozy with you last round). Just go retire to Paris and leave us alone.

This moment on Earth is indeed strange. Some egos simply don’t get it. Mrs. Heinz must be bored with his yammering and needs him out of the house again.
This must keep Mr. Kerry awake, night after night.
Whenever I’m disapointed with President Bush, I regain composure thinking of the alternative.

His new religion, “Global Climate Change”, a book, some TV spots, “…….hey, people are listening to me…”
Off in the distance, a bunch of “Swift Boat” Veterans dusting off their medals, ……… time for battle, again…

Just so we’re clear, I was totally unnecessarily going over the top to make a joke, and there wasn’t any real sentiment there in that ribbing.

He’s only reconsidering because Hillary looks weak all of a sudden. But if the knee-capping Clintons can’t beat Obama, how does the universally reviled Kerry think he can? The Goracle has a better chance.

In an otherwise bleak political landscape, the one bright spot seems to me to be the probable hopelessness of Socialist, er, I mean Democrat, hopes to get the White House in 08. With or without Waffles, the Socialist, er, I mean Democrat, candidates (and especially Miss Hillary) are just so transparently silly and/or lacking in what it takes to lead the free world, that I feel certain even the seriously-dumbed-down American populace will not fall for any of them. I’m not usually this optimistic, but the Socialist, er, I mean Democrat line-up is such an obvious joke, I think even they themselves know it.
Halley on April 16, 2007 at 5:26 AM
Ian,
Its not such a stretch, he did somewhat vindicate himself to those undecided over the swift boat veterans
He received more votes than any Democrat ever did in history.
He came within Gore distance of winning
I wouldn’t vote for him nor his party, but being strictly neutral he has the credentials to win his nomination
EricPWJohnson on April 16, 2007 at 5:58 AM
John Kerry, subject of a top-secret government experiment to create the ultimate soldier — an unstoppable killing machine secretly airdropped into Vietnam in defiance of all conventions of just war.
Little did his capitalist, imperialist masters suspect his conscience was too strong for their brainwashing; he regained self-awareness and returned home, disguised as a blue blood gigolo, vowing to take down by whatever means necessary the corrupt military-industrial complex that created him.

saint kansas on April 16, 2007 at 6:22 AM
He should have won, and the numbers had him winning. If ever there was an incumbent ripe for the picking, it was Dubya in ‘04. But he ran such a horribly inept and incompetent campiagn, especially when he decided not to talk to any media for 2 months after the nomination, and to let the SBVT go unchallenged.
He can’t win because he can’t campaign to save his life, and because he doesn’t stand for anything.
Pablo on April 16, 2007 at 6:51 AM
John Kerry is the reason I don’t vote for Democrats any more.
2004 was the first time I voted for a Republican President. Thanks, John!
2004 was the first time I actually gave money to any political cause. It was a donation to the SwiftVets – and still the best $$$ I ever spent. Thanks, John!
I can’t give Kerry all the credit for my political conversion – after the usual youthful liberal stupidity, I’d spent a decade trending conservative, leaning ever more to the right. But Jihad Johnny the Ketchup King and noted Triple Heart Faker pushed me right over the edge and into the dark side. Thanks, John!
And for what it’s worth, as proud as I was to vote for him in 2004, President Bush was in a weak position electorally. He should have lost. Against a credible candidate, he might have. Thanks, John!
To me, John Kerry literally personifies everything wrong with liberals and Democrats. The flip-flopping. The America-hating. The absolute rank hypocrisy of someone marrying 2 zillionaire wives and pretending to be for the little guy … of doing untold damage to our military and then trying to run as a war hero! John Kerry is a walking, mumbling cliche of everything I loathe about liberalism.
And I think a helluva a lot of moderates, independents, and even thinking Democrats feel the same way. He is God’s one true gift to Republicans because of it.
Run, John, run. I swear to God if you run, I’ll register as a Democrat and vote for you in the primaries.
Sigh. It’s really a crying shame even the nutroots kind of hate this guy now. I’d give my third testicle for him to be the nominee again. Wouldn’t it be fun to dig up the SF-180 controversy all over again?
Run, Johnny. You can do it. I believe in you.
Professor Blather on April 16, 2007 at 7:32 AM
pablo,
In Kerry’s defense, he did serve in a exposed position in a combat zone where his unit took fire. My gratitude for his service outweighs the cheap political gain the sbvt did.
As a conservative it was a shameful tactic to use, we all cannot judge how we react in combat situations and there was no evidence that Kerry was a coward.
It was wrong pure and simple
EricPWJohnson on April 16, 2007 at 7:32 AM
…duh-duh-duh-duh *snap snap*…
In all seriousness though…he was for running before he was against it.
fusionaddict on April 16, 2007 at 7:59 AM
You’ve got to be kidding.
No evidence? Well, sure … except for the eyewitness testimony of dozens of men in his unit. And the medic that treated one of his phony “wounds.” And the undisputed fact that after his third unearned purple heart in a matter of weeks, he personally put in the paperwork to get out of combat …. at a time when most small-unit leaders were going out of their way to stay with their men.
Not to mention the undisputed lies he told about his comrades-in-arms once he was safely out of Vietnam. His cowardice in battle pales next to his cowardice afterwards. Even if you can somehow ignore the dozens and dozens of men who served with him … how you ignore the damage Kerry did with his lies and slander is … unbelievable.
No evidence? Unbelievable. O.J. was framed, too, right?
Your post is wrong. Pure and simple.
A shameful tactic? Telling the truth? Uncovering lies?
Ay, dios mio. I repeat: unbelievable.

kerry: “Remeber you all liked me before? Remember? I almost won?”

Recall that after his loss, he went back to the Senate as if nothing had happened. The libDems of Mass keep both him and Kennedy in power.

Question:
We like the idea of more Dems running in the primaries, so they can bloody each other up, right? But does this end up working in favor of the party with many primary candidates, by getting more voters from that party interested, and thus more likely to turn out for their eventual nominee on election day?
mikeyboss on April 16, 2007 at 10:55 AM
John “Viet Nam Ho” will run if Theresa increases his allowance.

Lol. Alrighty.
I don’t get the concept of treason being forgivable if the traitor served in the military. Makes it even worse in my book.

I like the position that some vets have taken.
While his Vietnam service does leave some questions, he did serve. He probably served honorably too. (Release the records, John)
What is deplorable tho, is his Winter Soldier testimony and his reinvention as an anti-war vet after Vietnam.
If half the sh1t he said was true, he had an obligation and a duty as an American Naval Officer to report it. The fact he didn’t points to his dereliction and in my mind makes him unfit to be CinC.
Kai on April 16, 2007 at 12:09 PM
Well yeah, GWB never earned a Silver Star, Bronze Star, and three Purple Hearts. GWB also never threw them back on the WH lawn or wrote this book.

Kai on April 16, 2007 at 12:22 PM
Agree. People object to his activities as a “Vet against the war”, that’s completely understandable. What always repelled me was the need to smear his war record.
honora on April 16, 2007 at 1:36 PM
Now I know you’re saying that just to derail another thread.
But I am curious. Why do you think he smeared his own war record?
fogw on April 16, 2007 at 2:27 PM
How am I derailing the thread when the whole Vietnam thing was mentioned by several others before I posted? And I guess I had my syntax off–I didn’t me he smeared his own war record, but rather the Swift Boaters. You know, like the guy who just got appointed Ambassador to Belgium (one of those smallish European countries).
Gotta love quid pro quo.
honora on April 16, 2007 at 3:52 PM
Swift Boaters didn’t smear his record, they just informed the public of his record. You know, that pesky little truth thingy.
As it turned out, that “John Kerry, reporting for duty” line was a total disaster for the pretender hero.
“Hey Captain, I think I’m coming down with a sty. Where’s my purple heart?”
John-boy couldn’t hack it in today’s military. No room for slackers who think two tours of duty equates to four months of service.
Kerry. Fraud. Gigolo. Turncoat. Loser.
fogw on April 16, 2007 at 4:42 PM
John Kerry smeared his own record and that of those he served with. He is a traitor as much as jane.
