You never actually see them and the kid in the same shot when they curse. It’s all editing. The thing about all the ice cream in the world being stolen was kinda funny, and I want to see more of Bush and Bin Laden fighting in a cave.

Mtv was also the first cable station to air commercials on a regular basis just like over the air networks. There were very few complaints about it from the people who watch Mtv, so other cable stations decided they could get away with it too.
So the next time you’re watching cable or satellite and wonder why you’re paying to watch commercials, you can thank Mtv.

Um, was that supposed to be funny, informative, thought provoking, offensive, or cute?

It wasn’t any of those, I’m just wondering what it was supposed to be.

Unless the goal was to have me sit here and presume the writers who thought this up were miserable failures at conveying any thought, they missed the target.

If that was the goal, it’s certainly an ironic goal.

MTV was the impetus for pulling the cable plug in our house. No a la carte packages are offered so anyone who wants cable or SAT TV, ALWAYS gets stuck with MTV and its slimey cousins as part of the basic package. The good channels are always extra cash in the enhanced packages. It’s such a racket – you pay for a pile of shows you don’t want, which get a cut of the proceeds, even though you never watch them, then you must pay to block the shows you find are vile for your kids.

But I’ve discovered, thanks to Pravda (via Fark), that Imus was canned because he was going to reveal secrets about 9/11. Here’s the best line, with its confluence of 9/11, Imus, and Rosie:

“But, to the US War Leaders, Don Imus represented the most serious threat, to date, of the growing assault against them by America’s media personalities threatening to expose the truths behind the events of September 11, 2001 and the Iraq/Afghanistan Wars; and to such an extent that another American media personality, Rosie O’Donnell, has expressed concern that US Military Leaders could actually imprison Mr. Imus.”
