It wasn’t just Nancy Grace that went off the deep end, trying these innocent players in the media. Initially,Greta Van Susteren, Kimberly Guilfoyle(the ormer under wear model) and Lis Wiehl all had decided they were guilty before they had their day in court.

I have yet to see one of them apologize. The underwear model even had the unmitigated gaul to go on Hannity and criticize the media for having it all wrong last week. This, after her repeated appearances where she portrayed the Duke lacrosse players as rapists or worse.

I hope each and every one gets sued in a civil court for libel and slander.

Shep explained along with the announcement that it is Fox’s policy not to reveal the identity of victims of sexual assault & rape, & also noted that she had already been identified by several other news outlets.

Since it was determined that there was no crime committed, she obviously cannot be a victim & therefore is not covered by this policy.

I agree – it’s lame. He knows very well his audience takes his “news” stories much more serious than that. To deny culpability is hypocritical. I catch the show now and then, but I know it’s political humor, and I know it leans to the left.

Ah, Nancy Grace…her track record on predicting high-profile cases seems to be less-than-stellar…

And it seems that any time anyone criticizes Jon Stewart and the Daily Show for content, he always comes back with “…my show isn’t a ‘real’ news show”, and that gets him off-the-hook.

What success? What, you have not received fair, objectionable, true reporting of the number of terrorists killed, detained, the rebuilding of the country? What, you have only heard every news story of every casualty of American and Coalition forces on a day to day basis like they were traffic accidents in your local newsw, as they report a war? What? You don’t have the clear facts of what is actually going on?

i'll do some more searching in a bit, but this so far appears to be the clip of record regarding the daily show's take on the duke rape hoax. it mocks the cable news media's handling of it, but all it appears to presume of the case is that allegations of rape should be handled with some gravity. it's from the week after the hoax became the big story and mocks nancy grace in particular, so, unless there's something else out there predating november 2006, i'd say the verdict is "not guilty".

Jon usually gets it right, and yeah, it’s usually left of center. But he uses the ammunition given to him. It’s not hard to find examples of politicians acting foolishly, no? But he does give it hard to the Dems from time to time.
