Great Stuff!

What a terrific job Bill Ardolino did during his month embed! It really is amazing how a citizen journalist can capture information that no MSM has been able to…
If you like this stuff, go over to his site and hit his tip jar. He spent thousands to bring you this footage.

Our service men and women should ignore the bad press and be extremely proud of the good work they’re doing in Iraq.

Good triumphs over Evil so long as we let it.

Great Vent!

What a different story we hear when the comments from the people who really know, the troops on the ground, are made available.

In my opinion video such as this confirm that the MSM is more interested in their own politcial agenda than accurate reporting and commentary.

I can only speculate what public opinion in the United States would be if we were not fed a diet of propaganda that conforms to the politcially correct Left ideology, and were shown video such as this on a regular basis.l

Thank You Michelle and Hot Air Folk for keeping us well informed with unedited commentary from the people that really matter: The troops on the ground. (The people that really matter certainly does not include the MSM)

Damn that’s good. This needs to be aired on national TV!

Aylios on April 13, 2007 at 1:07 PM

While it’s not uncommon to hear the words of our troops on MichelleMalkin.com and HotAir.com and parts of Fox News speaking in support of the war effort… it’s interesting that we don’t hear much out of the anti-war soldiers who are actively serving… instead only when they return and

Are those soldiers afraid of speaking up? Is the MSM and other liberals afraid of associating with those they view as less than them (ie our troops)?

After all… we’ve seen videos of from killed soldiers, speaking of how important what they are doing is and how proud they are of doing it… and yet I have yet to see a single video of a killed soldier, recorded days or months earlier speaking out against the war… speaking of the horrors of war and how wrong they think their presence is.

dahat on April 13, 2007 at 2:39 PM

To continue on my earlier thought… sure, those active duty soldiers who wish to speak out may fear reprisals from their commanders in the field… demotion, court-martial, etc… but wouldn’t such fears play right into the hands of the MSM? What better than to interview a soldier speaking out against the war… and be able to follow up the story with a report that the solider has been relieved of duty due to the interview… creating a new poster boy for the left.

Once again Hot Air gets it right and the MSM gets it wrong. I think SSGT Smith’s comments regarding CNN is one that is felt with many who are over there. This past weekend we went to a family reunion and on cue my anti-Bush, anti-war Uncle started asking my husband about what it was like in Iraq. He basically said that if he gets his info from the MSM he’s getting the wrong info and then when on to say that it was common talk that if any of them had seen much of the MSM they’d have to wonder if they should shoot because they felt “they-MSM” were the enemy.

Catie96706 on April 13, 2007 at 2:57 PM

Troops vs. journalsis. Such a difference in what we hear which is frustrating beyond belief because it shouldn’t be that way.

Yakko77 on April 13, 2007 at 4:58 PM

That is some powerful stuff. No wonder the MSM doesn’t want to show that back home. This clip show be emailed to every major news organization.

darwin on April 13, 2007 at 5:21 PM

This kind of stuff is just good to see.

kahall on April 13, 2007 at 7:03 PM

Thanks for this. It’s so refreshing to hear from those who really matter in this war instead of the fat cat, power hungry bureaucrats like Pelosi, Reid, and Leahy.

It’s things like these that keep me coming back to HotAir

I failed to comment on part I (my bad). I won’t make the same mistake on part II. This is an excellent post, Michelle! I love hearing from the troops (the only people who really know what’s going on). How telling: “we can’t pull out right now”, “We’ve gone too far, if we pull out now we’ll be back here in 10 years…”. And, how sad: “Don’t listen to your Congressman, stay…”. That the Iraqi people would have to fear the political infighting going on in our country as compared to the reality they live with every day is just sad. Thank you for posting this! I know I won’t see this story anywhere but here.

thedecider on April 14, 2007 at 2:03 AM

Michelle or Allah:

Would these Vent segments be better viewed on Hot Air or Michelle Malkin.com? Stories like these need the largest possible audience. Only you know which site gets more traffic. Just saying.

thedecider on April 14, 2007 at 2:10 AM

Great Vent Michelle. You do your country a great service “airing” these short video segments regularly. Thank you.

The love and respect for our troops grows stronger every single day. Their sacrifice and dedication to their mission is inspiring.

I for one will head down to the post office shortly for a couple of those one rate boxes and get a care package or two out to our guys and gals. I have a few boxes of some really good coffee I’m sure they’ll enjoy.

May God Bless America.

Zorro on April 14, 2007 at 11:12 AM

Typo correction: change “you do your country…” to “you do OUR country…” my apologies.

Zorro on April 14, 2007 at 11:18 AM

Yes! Cut the bs and let the troops speak for themselves.

This is the decisive rebuttal to the cut-and-runners who pretend to speak on behalf of our troops. It puzzles me why we haven’t hammered home the point: Cut the bs and let the troops speak for themselves.

petefrt on April 14, 2007 at 7:36 PM

Thank you, HotAir for showing this clip.
And, thanks INDC for the terrific footage.
This was very powerful.

gatewaypundit on April 14, 2007 at 8:56 PM

Why doesn’t Dubya just buy some primetime ad slots and show this over and over again?

Tony737 on April 15, 2007 at 1:49 AM

Michelle,

Why is this not on FOX News?

Tears in my eyes,

Respectfully,
