I think they are afraid that FOX would make them clarify their positions. Kucinich wins if this happens because he isn’t trying to deceive anyone with his views. That is why Kucinich wanted the debate.

Leno’s always been the most fair, reasonable, and equal-opportunity jokester on late night. Letterman et. al. are all tools and shrill little libs who wear their bias on their sleeves. Conan is the funniest, but probably only a notch below Letterman as an uber-lib Bush/conservative basher.

You’re right, they are, but that is their strategy. To the ignorant sheeple who watch the MSM, anyone to the right of the far left appear moderate by comparison. This is why the MSM consider themselves the center of the political spectrum. The sanctimonious right stubbornly holds to the holier than thou montra erroneously believing people will be swayed by their rightousness. If the right had a vocal extreme that the moderates vocally supported (in theory, if not in word), true conservatism would be seen for what it is. Moderate and responsible behavior. Then, the people who are kowtowed by PCness, wouldn’t feel like they were aligning themselves with extremism on the right because there is actually an extreme right that establishes is clearly different from moderate conservatism.

Leno is a flaming liberal. But he’s liberal for the right reason–he believes it. Clinton, Gore, Kennedy, et al are liberal because that’s what they’re paid to be. Leno can thus still make a joke about how pathetic these folks are.

Run the debates anyway, have some computer science geeks program up a random platitude generator based on the statements of each candidate, and put a picture of the candidate at the appropriate podiums

I just wish we had a conservative in the running that I liked, or could get excited ( in a political way, keep it clean) about.

Well, if you stay home in ‘08 we’ll get worse than what we have now. I partially blame those hardline immigration righties who stayed home last November to “teach those amnesty republicans a lesson.” We’re all feeling it now. And have your issues on immigration been resolved? No. Instead now the illegals will have free health care, in state tuition and a host of free benefits on our dime. Not saying you will – but don’t stay home!

If you haven’t read Michelle Malkin’s article on the Imus situation, it’s a must. The Smoking Gun has the arrest record and mug-shots of the stripper, who accused the Duke Lacrosse players. A producer has been fired from CBS News, after it was discovered that a video segment used by Katie Couric, was plagiarized from the Wall Street Journal. Oh, and this is just funny. [...]
