Video: Extremely serious Tancredo/Hunter online debate
posted at 9:51 pm on April 11, 2007 by Allahpundit
Via Ace. Both men play it straight, surely having no idea what fate awaited them once this guy brought the footage back to his editing machine. I guess this is what happens when you’re pulling asterisks in the primary polls.
Which isn’t to say it doesn’t have its moments. You’re fast-forwarding to 6:50 if you’re counting up and 3:10 if you’re counting down and watching for “Lamont’s” question and Tancredo’s answer. Classic.
Rest assured, if we ever rope the Tanc into doing a debate Vent, there will be a question about the North American Union. Several, in fact, if the big A has his druthers.
Update: Whoa — the Tanc has doubled his support over the past month!

Those comments by the candidates were taken from other interviews, right? I find it hard to believe that they would accept interviews by high school students.
Still, very funny.

I don’t think so. Tancredo’s audio is very amateurish; no respectable professional outlet would do that poor a job.

Get out da way, the NAU is here!

Dear God, I think you’re right.

And it’s ready to kick some serious be-hind. (With the help of the Trilateral Commission of course)

Somehow I doubt Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson will be commenting about the video.

AP, why don’t you keep quiet about the NAU if you know what’s good for you. Be a shame if something happened to your little blog here.

Bryan Barton was dismissed from the MMP becaues of the “lousy T-shirt” incident.

I’m left with the impression that both of the congressmen fell for a sales pitch that this “internet debate” thing would be leading edge. It doesn’t do either of them any good, with the foolishness of Barton’s method totally obscuring the valid message they both have.
They’d be better off trying for cameo roles on Law & Order.

Personally, I’m all for cheap publicity stunts.

Hilarious. And all politicians need to be abused in this manner in order to test their political acumen. Needless to say, these two putz’s failed, miserably. To be pwn3d so completely by this goof and put on a video with some drug peddler is apalling.
Their campaigns, such as they are, are over.

Brilliant just brilliant.
Ahhh this was soo retro, it makes me think what it would be like to look at the internet on a Comodor64 in some alternate universe.

Mazz, I just watched the Billary ridicule, and it was great fun. I like this nutball, and ridicule is my favorite form of political discussion.
For instance, it was fun to ridicule John Kerry, and so easy. All you had to do was quote him.
