You made you point very effectively with this article. It was long overdue. Someone needed to point to the obvious a long time ago. No doubt you will take some heat for it. It might have been more meaningful if someone from the black community had penned a similar article. I am sure that there are already some “out there.” Unfortunately, they will probably go unnoticed.

As some posters at the web-site referenced above (by AllahPundit) have already pointed out, the impact of your article will be somewhat compromised or diminished by your unfortunate choice of words in the closing sentence (viz. your reference to Tourette’s syndrome).

Although I was not offended by your comparison to Tourette’s syndrome, I AM compelled to point out that your analogy is somewhat inaccurate. The correct terminology is “coprapralia.” Only a tiny minority of the sufferers of Tourette’s syndrome (something like 5-10 %) have it. I do not claim to be an expert on the matter, but I DO know a little something about it. My son has suffered from Tourette’s syndrome throughout his childhood, his teenage years, and into young adulthood.

Of course, the MOST inaccurate thing about your analogy is that fact that coprapralia is completely compulsive and involuntary (like a sneeze). We can hardly say the same thing for the so-called rap “artists” whose foul utterances are completely voluntary, inexcusable, and perhaps deliberately intended to provoke outrage – don’t you think?

I see your point, the Rutgers woman were disparaged and have a right to be mad. Scarred for life? Not so much. The only people who are scarring them for life are the media, Rainbow/Push and Sharpton. If they allow themselves to be turned into victims, then it’s their own fault.
