Huh, did Imus call him Rev. Harkus?

That’s not a complement…I’m pretty sure it’s a reference to an old Imus character that was a slam on Rev. Dr. Al Bigbutt, Esq.

Imus was experiencing a Freudian Slip.

Back in the 1970s, one of Imus’s early radio skits involved a charcter named, Reverend Billy Sol Hargus. Who ran:

“The First Church of the Gooey Death and Discount House of Worship down in Del Rio, Texas. The Golden Buckle of the Bible Belt!”

Several of the Hargus skits wound up on Imus’s 1970s comedy album titled “That Honkey’s Nuts”.

What great fun it is watching the leftards implode. We've got Sharpton on Imus, Hilary on Obama, Levin on Reid, Leiberman (the Iino?) on Pelosi, the Senate vs the Congress...oh, and the Crawford Nut House lost their charter through stupidity and incompetence! Ha-ha! So Imus said something "offensive." BFD. No one was watching anyway. He probably manufactured the whole "controversy" for attention, and to push legitimate news stories to the back pages. IMO, If there were any reason for argument, Imus should NOT have bowed, and made himself available to Al charlatan. Any complaints should have come from the aggrieved party only, and not from second hand, third, fourth and fifth sucker punchers or from the likes of Sharpton and Jesse (shake down) Jackson. Moreover, I agree with Howard Sterns advice to Imus (won’t repeat that here).

Imus probably is the MSM’s token lefty they are sacrificing. They caught a lot of flack for covering the faggot comment by A rightie and virtually silent by condemning Rosie’s continuous diarrhea of the mouth among other lefties. Once they crucify imus, the msm can then slap back that they are *fair and balanced* LOL.
