While debating with the Rev. Al Sharpton on this morning’s “Today” show, talk show host Don Imus called Sharpton out. According to Imus, the Rev agreed that he would appear on Imus’ show only if Imus appeared on his show. Imus did go on Sharpton’s show yesterday, where he grovelled and scraped to get out of his Rutgers jam, but Sharpton has broken his promise and now refuses to go on Imus’ show. The Reverend’s word is, apparently, worthless.

Below is what ensued:

The Reverend’s word is, apparently, worthless.

This isn’t news and it isn’t even new.

Jackson and Sharpton represent irrefutable evidence of rampant African-American anti-white racism and anti-semitism.

Their presence in this silliness represents the single greatest indictment of our media that I can even remember.

Huh, did Imus call him Rev. Harkus?

That’s not a complement…I’m pretty sure it’s a reference to an old Imus character that was a slam on Rev. Dr. Al Bigbutt, Esq.

LOL

Hi, benrand.

Imus was experiencing a Freudian Slip.

Back in the 1970s, one of Imus’s early radio skits involved a charcter named, Reverend Billy Sol Hargus. Who ran:

“The First Church of the Gooey Death and Discount House of Worship down in Del Rio, Texas. The Golden Buckle of the Bible Belt!”

Several of the Hargus skits wound up on Imus’s 1970s comedy album titled “That Honkey’s Nuts”.

Jack.
