Audio: McCain says someone was laughing during his Baghdad press conference

This makes three independent reports of distracting chuckling during the presser: Drudge’s original much-maligned story, which accused Michael Ware by name of “heckling;” AFP’s story from last Tuesday, which cited “giggling” by an unnamed reporter; and now J-Mac himself, who appeared yesterday on Sean Hannity’s radio show to do a little rebunking of Raw Story’s debunking. Hannity volunteers Ware’s name and McCain doesn’t correct him, but even in McCain’s case the knowledge is secondhand: apparently it was Lindsey Graham and the rest of the contingent who noticed the disturbance while McCain was answering someone’s question.
Just keeping you up to speed. Until someone puts this directly to Graham, we won’t know for sure.
I included a minute or so of McCain ripping on the Democrats at the beginning, just because it tickles me.
Bonus J-Mac media! Not at all relevant to Waregate but it made me laugh.
Exit question: Is Jonah right? Is it springtime for J-Mac?

At the rate McCain is moving in the straw polls he will be looking back fondly to these days when people would come to his press conferences.

Is there small print on the side of that bus under “Straight Talk Express” that says “except where prohibited by McCain-Feingold”?

So, CBS does a poll structured to get bad numbers for John McCain because of his age. That’d also mean, by the way, that such fine presidents as Woodrow Wilson, Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan had no business being President.
And since Hillary is now in her sixties and, if elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2012, she’d be in her seventies also. The “journalists” of the CBC apparently didn’t care to address that particular topic in their age-ism hit on McCain.
In the eyes of leftoid CBS, calendars are apparently different for extreme liberal Democrats than they are for conservative Republicans.

Considering his present polling status and fund raising deficit, he should stay away from Imus, Mattews, and the rest of that left wing NBC gaggle. Unfortunately, it appears that he going full steam ahead with his date on the Imus show.

A lot of brain dead gullible people consume the MSM and conservatives need to be on these shows to try and get the truth to them.

Maybe it was a conservative laughing at his chances of winning the primary? This guy is a complete RINO so why are we worried at all about how the MSM is treating him? Personally I’m loving watching his chances go down in flames.

Actually, I e-mailed Jonah about that L.A. Times column. If conservatives are ignoring J-Mac, whose fault is that? The dude couldn’t even be bothered to show up for CPAC and he’s been dissing the base since forever. If he’s lost all credibility among conservatives, I can’t see how the conservatives are to blame for that.
I can’t help but wonder if Jonah’s trying to get himself some of that Hynes-style “consultant” money …

Well—
If I were at a McCain press conference, I’d be hard pressed to not laugh (or perhaps weep) at half the stuff he says.
Oh, On Iraq and the larger WOT he has the right attitude, (if the wrong specific strategies & tactics). But other than that…..
