Jack has been using H&K for a while now.

I’m sure not interested in spending the rest of this season watching Meestah Bow-uh track down Audrey.

I still miss Nina. There was chemistry there~

I get what you are saying, but when Jack finally whacked Nina, it might have been the best moment of the entire series. Nina deserved said whacking many, many times over, and with Jack, it was just so damn personal to boot. That season was somewhat lagging up until that point, afterward it built up momentum like a runaway train.

They always seem to refer to it only as “your country” when speaking to the ambassador.

They bend over backwards not to say it, but when they showed a map of the coastline it looked conspicuously like Iran.

I’m just a bit astonished that they’re finally getting around to the Jack-as-a-Chinese-dupe vs CTU scenario that the entire season should’ve been about. Not only would that have been the better story arc, but making a weird compound arc feels contrived.

I laughed when he said “say hello to your brother” while wrapping that chain around Fayed’s neck.

In some cases he has used a two chest shot, but usually when he has a commandeered weapon, likely a 9mm. He also prefers it over other available weapons, often walking by perfectly good AKs and such. He does tend to stop to pick up shotguns though.

The other guy, Mike Doyle, had the Glock.

And, I’m pretty sure the nation that wasn’t really under threat of nuclear retaliation was Pakistan.

The ambassador surely didn’t look Arab, and it’s well known that the Pakistani ISI aids the Taliban (hence “General Habib”).

It’s funny, for all of the griping about this season I’ve seen, they’ve gone a long way to show the enemies we face that don’t really show up as obvious. Russia, China, Pakistan. All supposed “allies,” but do we really believe that? I sure as shit don’t.

I must confess that before the start of this season, I hadn’t seen 24 since Season 1, so when these Audrey and Chinese situations come up, I’m at a complete loss. If such elements are to dominate the final 7 hours, I’m going to need some kind of Season 2-5 Cliff notes.

Man, that shows desperation… I wouldn’t be sending half trained people undercover against experienced killers.

Oh well, that probably reflects reality in that our Intel / military services still don’t have enough ‘passable’ Arabic speakers.

Good Lord! If I wanted to watch all this mushy inter-office romance I’d tune into General Hospital. It’s really getting to be too much. And now, AUDREY IS BACK! I.Can’t.Take.It.

I love it!

I mean; Yeah, JACK! could get get out of restraints and take out/down all his captors, but besides him and maybe Chuck Norris who else could do it like that.?.?. Those CTU undercover guys had to be totally incompetent.

Oh well, Probably worked out for the best. Maybe the writers were just too lazy to script it out for the same outcome in a more likely way.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but has the show ever explicitly stated what country Fayed is from? They always seem to refer to it only as “your country” when speaking to the ambassador. And even during the staged nuke strike, no one utters the name of it. Is this a deliberate PC move not to paint any specific Arabic country as even a hypothetical terrorist breeding ground or did I miss it when they identified the country at an earlier point (or during a previous season)?

They’ve never identified an Islamic country as such. Back in Season 2, the veep was going to nuke three unidentified countries that were supposedly behind the attempted nuking of LA.

We’re operating under the assumption that this year’s Durkadurkastan was one of those 3.

That’s not a dumb question, my husband and I have been asking the same thing. But I’m pretty sure it NOT the Bahamas.
