I’m no fan of abortion or those who endorse it, either, but you honestly believe Leiberman wasn’t speaking sincerely on this issue? Interesting.

I guess I wasn’t the only one who was turned off by Blitzer’s comment. To me, he comes off in that line as a smart-aleck who just repeats what others say, and really has no understanding of the issue.

I agree. Germany did not attack us, neither did Viet Nam nor North Korea. We didn’t attack Saudi Arabia because 19 of the hijackers were Saudis. We attacked the terrorist sponsored state that was in Afganistan and later in Iraq. Why is this so hard for liberals to understand?

Joe Lieberman and myself disagree about a great many things but I can forgive him and even like him because he is one of (maybe the very last) of the old school Democrats who, although liberal to the core, puts America first and will not bow down to the anti America socialists who have taken over the Democratic party leadership. He is a statesman and I view the fact that the Democrats pushed him out of the party as the saddest commentary on the plight of the American left. Well said Joe.

I’ll try this again. We need more people like Lieberman who believe in this Country rather than those who would blame America first for all the ails of the world. Thank God there are a few conservative blue dogs still out there. They are standing between us an anarchy!

Exactly right! Joementum is a statesman who puts America first before party. We need more of him (sans his liberal socialist beliefs). We need people who believe in this great Country. Not the leftists who are trying to destroy her!
