I live in Boyda’s district and just lemme say this: Just be careful which side of her mouth she is talking out of at any given time. She won a close race against a Rebpublican incumbent in a normaly Republican controlled district, and she is taking a lot of heat for embracing the standard liberal democratic platforms on things like immigration.

Don’t get me wrong, I like what she is say here, but I want to see her really put her money where her mouth is before I believe her.

Actually Dobbs is a laughingstock, and if you haven’t noticed his support of democrats then you’ve only been seeing what you want to see. After looking at your blog, it’s obvious you have the same obsession on immigration as dobbs does, which explains why you see him with blinders on. People like you and dobbs and tancredo do more harm than good to the issue of illegal immigration because your obsession alienates people who only have a moderate interest in the issue. Politics is as much about style as substance and immigration is going nowhere as long as people like dobbs demagogues the issue. When a person who seems reasonable becomes the face of the illegal immigration issue, things will get done. Dobbs, tancredo, gilchrist, etc. aren’t that person and never will be. I don’t have any bitterness, i just understand that in order to get things done politically, things have to be done in a reasonable way. And you just go ahead and vote libertarian or democrat or whatever and see how far you get with immigration.

Dobbs has spent the past few years obsessing on immigration like a psychotic stalker. He’s also spent the past few years supporting democrats who have the exact opposite view of immigration as Dobbs. That’s the definition of a fool, and the fact that you support a fool isn’t surprising.

Even though fools don’t realize it, Dobbs is bringing attention to the most important domestic issue faced by the country today. He has had the courage to break the mainstream mold and bring the issue to the forefront of consciousness, a state you apparently know little about.

Being a former Republican myself, I cannot say that I’ve witnessed Dobbs supporting Democrats or Republicans. I understand the bitterness you harbor as I felt the same way when I first realized that I was sold out by my party. You would do better however, focusing your anger on your party rather than those who merely point out facts.

No one has done more damage to the right and the pubs than Bush and Rove themselves. It’s silly to blame Dobbs and the man is far from a fool.

I define a fool as someone who clings to a party that has sold him out 6 years ago.

For the record, Boyda’s district doesn’t include Kansas City (it wraps around it), which is represented by Dennis Moore. But thanks for recognizing the correct name of what many people call a “New York Strip”. (How many head of cattle are processed through the stockyards of New York?)

Having lived in both districts, I can tell that a Kansas Democrat is often more conservative than a New York Republican. At least one that gets re-elected. Jim Ryun has already said he’s going to try to win his old seat back from Boyda.

I think Boyda probably took a lot of heat for her vote on the troop withdrawl. She is just trying to get her base back. As far as Brownback is concerned, his people are always snarky, no matter what you call his office for. They are a rude, arrogant bunch and I hope it will be the downfall of him.
