In other words, Mitt “took the initiative in creating” Anna Nicole’s baby.

All part of his effort to convince conservatives around the country that they should vote for what is normally considered a contradiction in terms – a “Massachussetts Republican”.

Who was it that said that if one has the egomaniacal tendencies required to run for President they should be disqualified from holding the office? I think that is true of waaaay too many of these candidates.

Except Fred! I will vote for Fred! over Romney.

Gore’s INTENT was very clear. Without HIM and HIM ALONE, the internet would not exist.

What he actually said:

“During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.”

What does “I took the initiative in creating the Internet” mean? To a non-goreite, it means: “I CAUSED THE INTERNET TO EXIST.”

Words mean things.

He did NOT not create the Internet. Snopes is arguing a distinction without difference in their article.

The Internet stated in 1961 with a paper on packet switched networks by Leonard Kleinrock. Defense Department’s Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) begin funding in 1968. The first router was running in 1969. Al Gore took a seat in Congress in Jan 1977.

He was neither the originator of the idea, nor was he the designer, nor did he put up the funds to make the idea a reality. Gore did NOT, in any sense of the word, create the Internet, because its creation occurred more than a decade before he entered office.

And while we are on the subject, neither was he and Tipper the inspiration for Erich Seagal’s Love Story, another bogus claim of his.

However, he was the major driving force behind the National Centers for Supercomputing Applications and deserves the credit for it.

But he lied about creating the Internet . Even Snopes agrees that he did NOT create the Internet.

Which leads us to today and his pack of lies he tells in his so-called “documentary.” Gore seem completely unable to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

I’ve also hunted. I didn’t care for it, but learned firearm safety, and an appreciation for nature and conservation. I’m a carnivore, but I’ll let a surrogate slaughter my dinner for me. I’m not a lifelong hunter, but have no problem if you want to. (Eat what you kill – I have little use for trophy hunters.) Am I a life long hunter? Ask me again in season, I might want to go with along with you.

I fail to see how “creating” the internet differs significantly from “inventing” the internet. The bottom line is he did neither.

I love it when these northeastern politicians stumble around in the woods in their wing-tips, pretending to be hunters. They always look like total tools.

Well, if you’re a Republican it’ll cost you. Democrats seem to have more of an arms-length relationship with truth-telling and have a much higher tolerance for politicians with delusions of grandeur.
