I saw this on Michelle’s blog yesterday. Very funny — especially listening to the way these guys set it up.
Who owns the “Land of the Lost” DVD? Michelle? Allahpundit? Bryan? ‘Fess up to being a former middle-school sci-fi geek, whoever you are.
This “scandal” connecting the President to the vast right-wing Sleetax conspiracy has got to be the most bizarre combination of the internet and fanboy culture since the “All your base are belong to us” mash-up video.

Great Vent Michelle and Happy Easter to all at Hot Air!

Fracking brilliant! The paranoia of the left, its insane conspiracy mongering exposed…AGAIN! But it won’t stop the looney left otherwise known as the MSM.

This Corrente fella really takes himself seriously.
Who is he?

I was born in late 1970-as was Michelle.
I don’t know about her-but what little I saw of LotL I thought was lame.
Then again-I also liked “Disco Mickey Mouse” and craved “Love American Style” re-reuns-so my taste could be suspect.
lol

csdeven on April 6, 2007 at 10:04 AM
Hey annoying!
I’m so old, I got to see Love American Style, along with the other ABC shows on Friday night (I think it was Friday, maybe it was Thursday) that gave them a geek “must see” for the era, The Partridge Family, the Brady Bunch…and the fourth (with LAS) may have been the Odd Couple.
But hey, LAS would not have come on until after your bed time, so no wonder you had to wait for reruns. Oh god! I can hear the theme music in my head…turn it off turn it off!
doufree on April 6, 2007 at 10:04 AM
Room 222 was the fourth show, not the Odd Couple.
Flash backs! Oh no!
doufree on April 6, 2007 at 10:05 AM
I got hit when I liked from Michelle’s..It was the Wonkette crowd in particular that came a knockin and flooded the post so people couldn’t post…
Pam on April 6, 2007 at 10:12 AM
For the record, there is the teeniest bit of validity to this logic:
The 60 Minutes fake TxANG documents do not prove anything about GWB’s service record, either favorable or unfavorable. That we know those particular documents are fake does not disprove the story. We must ignore them, and refer to what we know from other sources, such as the official record that says he put in the required hours.
That this picture of The Magnificent Bastard was photoshopped proves nothing about whether the company had any relationship with the Bush people. It does not mean that Rove didn’t come to the BBQ joint from the company’s office. It just means that the picture isn’t proof that he did. It doesn’t mean anything at all.
Get it? Fake evidence can’t (dis)prove anything, because it’s FAKE.

I heard Bill Laimbeer is really upset about this.

Once I told one of my bosses that my ex husband was the guy who played “Chucka” on Land of the Lost and he believed me. He would tell clients etc. I would have stories, “Yeah it was hell for him when they had to apply all of that hair. He would break out into hives.” One day he came to me and said, “Your ex husband wasn’t really the guy who played Chucka was he?” I go, “No, he wasn’t.” He appreciated the joke, though. I loved Land of the Lost as a kid.

The tinfoil hat crowd is obviously susceptible to this type of activity.
Let’s put our thinking caps on.

The nutroots who constantly clamor about their internet “prowess” and “tech superiority” get completely KO’d.
and these are the same “Dick Tracy” wanna-be’s pouring over Alberto Gonzales and Justice Dept. e-mails looking for the “smoking gun”.
Remember this is the same group who said the Dan Rather/National Guard memo was authentic.
I love it when the nose in the air wine connoisseurs rave over a glass of grape juice, then stroll out to their BMW unable to hear the public chuckle over the sound of gravel crunching under their $300 dollar Brunori loafers.

Yeah we got somekind of magic like ‘The Prestige’ going on here
Drtuddle on April 6, 2007 at 11:13 AM
Well, it does prove one thing: Some people are easily suckered, and not intellectually honest enough to admit it when they are. This Sleestak Attack episode should be remembered the next time these liberal blogs get fired up on some goosechase or scandal, because there is every possibility that they’re being carried away by their own ignorance and then being dishonest about the facts they claim to be finding.

Topsecretk9 on April 6, 2007 at 11:36 AM
Well played, I admit. I find any sort of public punking hilarious, regardless of is the ‘victim.’ Some people just have no sense of humor, especially when it comes to self-depreciating humor. Many liberals, especially the ones who have blogs take themselves way to seriously. Although I’m sure if some photo-shopped pictures proving the NAU conspiracy surfaced some people here would be all over it.
Oh and side note, since when has Wonkette been a serious liberal blog? I’m a big fan, but I’ve always thought of them more as a tabloid/gossip/fake news site. They make no claim to be relevant or reputable and are hardly comparable to the other self-important, overly serious blogs mentioned. They have more in common with The Onion or Perez Hilton than Daily Kos.

The Land of the Lost site.

The fact that it took so little effort to pull this prank off is probably the most comical aspect of this.

LairDogFake is FireDogLake. Just a little friendly tweaking, that’s all.

I just found Bill Laimbeer hiding out in Oliver Stone’s guest house and asked him about the photoshoped Rove image with sleestaks. His reply was:
“It’s a mystery! It’s a mystery wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma! The freak’n photo tech don’t even know! Don’t you get it?”

I usually mock people who overuse bold, italics, and CAPS to convey their points but in your case I will make an exception. Considering your nonsensical language, horrible syntax, and completely irrelevant analogies make it impossible for anyone to understand what you are saying, I’m glad you liberally sprinkle your comments with these modifiers to help me get some semblance of what your point is. Your posts may not make sense, but at least I know the emotions you’re trying to convey. Thanks! Keep up the good work, and don’t forget those buttons are up there for a reason, might as well use them as much as you can.
JaHerer22 on April 6, 2007 at 1:19 PM
OVERUSE BOLD, CAPS, AND ITALICS….MEEEE????
I am SO FLATTERED that you noticed.
Its my John Bender way of saying…”Can you hear this?”,(correcting his inverted bird)”Well then, let me turn it UP!”
There you go–CAPS, BAD SYNTAX AND IRRELEVANT ANALOGIES ALL IN ONE NEAT PACKAGE for the Lib who can’t get her own blog.

Since the Dummocratic party have been instructed to follow GOP candidates around with a camera so they can “Macaca” more GOP candidates in ‘08, perhaps we should start “punking” CNN and the WaPo, too.

Pure blissful awesomeness. They’re so desperate for ANYTHING to bad mouth and squeel about, they swallowed the bait WHOLE in one huge gulp. Not even a little bit of research or fact verifying by the lot of them. Instant claims of crime and malfeasance with no corroboration whatsoever. AHAHAHAH … they’re such fools, and they got PUNKT!
Although, personally, I would have prefered Sigmund and the Sea Monsters myself :P

Sigh - The story of Belgium taxing barbecues gets pushed out of the limelight.
I love “Land of the Lost”!
hadsil on April 7, 2007 at 2:17 AM
And that is the trouble with blogs, like the ones referenced and THIS one. You can run off at the mouth, posting all sorts of nonsense, without verification, without fact checking, and without the annoyance of someone taking a pass at it and doing some real sub-editing. You just post whatever you want and people believe it, cos they love having their views re-enforced instead of challenged.
The lax approach to facts is what got Malkin into trouble when she worked in the traditional media - little wonder she has found such a comfortable home in the ‘new media’ - where she can get up to her old tricks without fear of, you know, actually being set right. I suppose that includes accusing people of falling for and playing the same old tired games that she does - without fear of someone editing it and pointing out the hypocrisy. Ho hum. Still, got to be worth a few extra hits, and a little more cash in the account.

You mean the one with the heat finding Helecopters?
Drtuddle on April 7, 2007 at 8:49 AM
eminuu,
You mean Michelle’s reporting that uncovered scandal in LA and got her threatened by the Mexican Mafia? Sounds pretty brave to me. Are you from the Elite media and feel threatened?
Drtuddle on April 7, 2007 at 9:17 AM
Once again the Left shows it has no sense of humor. And when it thinks it’s being funny, it’s grossly offensive.

No… No… you ALL don’t get it…
Its… time.. to come out of the shadows, and leave the caves…
And Embrace our place in the Vast Right Wing Sleestack Conspiricy!!!!!
Romeo13 on April 7, 2007 at 10:56 AM
THIS NOT A HOAX! The Sleestack image is actually a coded message signaling that Coptex agrees to delete all references to KKKarl and Bushitter from there servers and back-ups. IT really IS a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy and obviously the local TV station is part of that conspiracy! They put that image on the TV to let Rove know it’s working. That’s why Rove is smiling! His plan is working! Don’t you see? Don’t you see?
Rove Killed JFK! Rove Killed MLK! Rove planted the explosives on 9/11! Speak Truth To Power!
RedinBlueCounty on April 7, 2007 at 12:44 PM
What I found funny was that the image of the Sleestack on the television didn’t tip off any of the outraged liberals that the pic was faked.
They probably thought it was an RNC television ad or something.
Spurius Ligustinus on April 7, 2007 at 4:18 PM
eminuu, if you have something concrete to say, then by all means say it. But your comment as it stands amounts to a factless smear of Michelle. I’m sure that was your intent, to imply that there’s some dark secret to make people doubt her. There isn’t. Libs like yourself can’t just admit it when they screw up or get snookered (as happens to every single person at some point in their life), instead you have to go on the attack to destroy someone else. And it’s a pathetic, cowardly attack you’ve attempted here, hiding behind a pseudonym and lobbing a smear the way you have. Typical leftist character assassination is what it is.
Bryan on April 7, 2007 at 4:21 PM
You know she works for and appears regularly on the highest rated cable news channel in the country, right? And that’s she’s often toe to toe with someone who’s ostensibly there to “set her right”?
What was that you said about a lax approach to the facts?
Pablo on April 8, 2007 at 12:25 PM
Nicely put Bryan. They eat their own, too, and drive people out of the dhimmi party by doing so. Give them enough rope and, like the zealous Dan Rather, they inevitably hang themselves.
