Just the thought of this makes me ill. This whole mess disgusts me really. Here we have out strongest allie and supposedly one hellova military force just roll over for the Iranians. We have, by default, made a deal with Imanutjob by releasing the “diplomat”. And if the Quds guys get released…well…then it’s all over. I’m with Djohn:

Well, regardless of what happens in Iraq, they are coming here. Hell, they are already here. And the next time they strike here, it is probably going to make 911 look like a picnic. If there still were such a thing as securing classified intelligence information, the world would never know we captured the Irbil 5 and they’d be in Gitmo spilling their guts to our interrogators.

That’s the way the world used to work. Secrets were kept secret, and intelligence on the enemy was gathered without any public knowledge or journalistic fanfare.

Nowadays we show our hand, sometimes inadvertently, other times purposely with the aid of our traitorous MSM, only to let our enemies take advantage and make us appear weak.

Allah, I fear you may be right. But, since the sailors are now home, I hope GW decides to renege on the deal and ship the “Irbil 5″ to Gitmo for a little fun in the sun instead of freeing them. What would Iran do? Try the same thing twice? Maybe, but to what end… they risk world opinion turning against them, reminding all of the way things were back in the late 70’s and 80’s with hostages held everywhere.

Bush reminds us constantly that he doesn’t want to second guess his commanders in the field, that he’s only doing what they tell him in planning Iraq strategy (which isn’t true, per some generals’ opposition to the surge).

Iran takes the brits from iraqi waters, holds them hostages, makes a big pr splash, and in exchange they will get the irble 5 as a reward while their bombs, materials and support keeps killing our troops…

Does Iran have carte blance to do anyhting? and if this is the way they are now what about when they have the bomb?
