This is exactly my point as to why we conservatives need to leave her alone. The more extreme she is, the more moderate mainstream conservatives are percieved. The left has succeeded in radicalizing moderate conservative ideals that 20 years ago were common sense thinking. People like Rosie O Piggo makes people like Colmes look reasonable. This is why the MSM thinks they are main stream thinkers. They see where the far right is and then the far left, and they settle themselves in the middle. The “middle” happens to be where that loon Colmes sits. Ann is going to extend the extreme right out to a point where the middle will be where MM et al are.

That is a good thing and we do ourselves a dis-service when we attack Ann before the libs can.

Edwards looks like the opportunistic ambulance chaser that he is. I guess using your wifes illness as a political tool fits right in with his behavior in the past. This guy is another Jimmy Carter waiting to destroy this country and the economy with his hairbrained ideas.

However, I do want to thank Bad Candy for being the one and only person to respond to the substance of my post.

I am constantly stunned by how unaware the average person is and how much they take MSM at face value.

That being said, I still would not censor her. Every point she makes, every controversial statement she throws out there is right on point. Her fearlessness, intelligence and determination make her a someone that should be supported.

The left cried about the “Jersey Girls” comment, but Ann was right on the money then and she was right on the money with Edwards. Some people may want to scream and censor her for calling John Edwards what he is, but they take one look at silky pony and they are thinking, “You know, she has a point.”

Ann is more significant to the modern conservative movement than ANY of the blogs that signed the laughable open letter.

To let the left wing silence her is to grant them a victory they should not get.

And I’ve yet to see one mention of RINOs anywhere in this comment thread. You people are getting lazy.

He flip-flops worse than Kerry, and worse yet, the guy doesn’t take responsibility for anything he does – it’s always somebody else’s fault (advisors, etc.). I’m just waiting for some comment from Edwards that states that it was the internet advisor’s fault that there was an e-mail address requirement, and that they solicited those same people later (and that it went against his gut feeling).

Everybody knows that delegating responsibility means that you’re NEVER responsible for ANYTHING.

(Unless you’re a Republican, of course, in which case we need Congressional hearings and Stalinist show trials, followed by perp walks and public hangings).

If Silky Pony, after everything else that he’s fucked up beyond recognition, STILL can’t keep his troops in line, then we sure as HELL don’t need the incompetent fuckwit as Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful nation in the world.

I’m giving Edwards the benefit of the doubt. Entering an email address and then being solicited is, as far as I can tell, normal. The fact that he didn’t give the option of not receiving future emails is a little around the way, but excusable.

I might tend to agree with you but for Edwards’ conduct of late. As far as I’m concerned, the guy is a joke. It means, that whether we want it to or not, things like that are gonna be used to pound our cause. Ann, no matter what her intent was, handed the media a hammer to bludgeon us with. The options are to bail or support her. To support her, when we have a limited capacity to respond to those who have limited contact with tthe news is foolish and costly, and a lost cause when the MSM has such an impact on the tone of the country.

Until we have our own media system that can truly counter the MSM with coverage from our perspective, expect us to continue throwing people like Ann under the bus. It sucks, but its reality. Deal.
