Former Saturday Night Live colleagues Dennis Miller and Dana Carvey yuck it up about this and that on Miller’s radio show. They had some minor audio glitches at the start but it doesn’t slow them down. The highlight comes when Carvey riffs on Bush 41 and 43 getting worried that Rosie’s trutherizing may be getting a little too close to the truth. Click to play.

Wow. Now that I know Behar’s “one of ours”, it seems so obvious in retrospect.

I heard the premiere ep of Dennis Miller with Dana Carvey, it was the best part of the show and this is no exception.

A little man crush going on. Good stuff though

Naw, the highlight is near the end when Carvey rips on Hillary.
Oh and the Arnold Girly Man to Pump You Up!

That my friends is good radio.

P.S. Along with ‘What if Rosie is right?’ . . what if Bill is with Hillary because she’s a monster in the sack?

And, in the words of Dave Barry, “Fanmail Tsunami” would be a great name for a rock band.

Memories from the golden days of SNL. Miss it.

Gold. SNL went through a real drought in the late 80s and Miller and Carvey were two of the pilot lights. Whoulda thunk 20 years later, Carvey’s Bush and Schwarzenegger impressions would still be as relevant and that Miller would be among the sagest political commentators in the game? “Bordello Of Blood” and “Opportunity Knocks” were poor indicators of things to come.

I’ve downloaded a few episodes. Interesting format. Miller is pretty darn fair with his guests. Good stuff!

God bless you, robblefarian. I’m never leaving the house again.

And he’s going to have Ted Rall on tomorrow? I’m guessing that they won’t be there to swap recipes.

Miller’s obviously not a conservative–but he’s refreshing to listen to. He covers a lot of topics and yes–so far more than a few of his guests have made me cringe and fast forward. But it isn’t Howard Stern or Rush and it’s entertaining. The second episode featured VDH, Ben Stein and John Bolton.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Rall appearance was Miller’s chance to let his dark side out for a nice whomping.

Dana Carvey had me in tears. Thanks Bryan

My friends and I would turn everything into “grumpy old man” like this:
In MY DAY we didn’t have your streaming audio with your high speed broadband internets browser! In My Day we listened to static-y commercials on AM radio waiting for the interview to begin cause we were a bunch of ignoramuses, sitting in the dark with a cheap radio….and we Loved it!…..oh how we loved it.
Try it sometime in your best GOM voice.

Dennis Miller pronouncing “Sturm und Drang” was precious. It took a while to discern what it was…then laughing tears. That Carvey is a riot. The Arnold part was spot-on.

He’s on the radio here up against Rush … overlaps with Rush’ last two hours. Its going to be hard for him to get any live listeners here in the Bay Area. But I like that he has the downloads of his show on the site.

Good Stuff, Good Stuff…….. This should be a weekly feature. Maybe “Friday Funnies”?
PinkyBigglesworth on April 4, 2007 at 11:27 PM
Gawd, this stuff is funny! What took Dennis so long to get a show?
(Here in Dallas we were being forced to listen to repeats of Laura Ingraham and her voice becomes such a drone after about 2 minutes…)
Miller and Carvey together are the biggest hoot!

His site says he’s on the air from 7am – 10am PT. But the station out here that carries his show has it on from 6pm – 9pm PT.
Damn, I’m not getting my DM live.
MattSkosh on April 5, 2007 at 1:46 AM
True, but at least “Bordello” had the babelicious Angie Everhart as a vampire, no less!

He’s on at 10-12 on KNEW in the SF Bay area.
