Another Die Hard movie is coming out. While it would be nice to see John McClane taking on Islamofacists, it still looks to be good fun….

So John McClain has killed what has to be going on hundreds of terrorists, (In Die Hard 2 alone) 3 Evil Masterminds, saved hundreds of hostages, rescued the International Banking system/economy….

and he’s still just a city cop?

Damn. That’s cold.

(Hmmm, I refer to the Bronx-esque “pizano” version of “Come on” and not the rude West-Coast version.)

Die Hard? It is impossible to cram the awesomeness of any Die Hard movie into less than an hour. Not to mention that they all have truly suprising plot twists. Every single one of them.

The series has been consistently good about that. and it remains one of my favorite action movie series.

The bonus of having the Mac libtard is that maybe the sub-plot is to have McClain help the kid grow a pair.

The public excuse will probably be “anti-imperialism / nihilist Seattle WTO protester or Rosie” spew or environmentalism or they were paid by some unspecified person from an unspecified region.

Maybe they’ll drag the Russians back out. Or the Nazis, yeah, that one’s not overdone.

The “we’re doing the world a favor” line seems to indicate that it’s one of the first two above.

In any case, I’ll probably see it because I like explosions and people flying through the air shooting at each other.

I dunno. Chuck Norris has hair everywhere, which is a trademark of manliness. Bauer looks like some guy who was chained to a desk writing reports all his life and johnny’s going bald.

The Die Hard franchise is the best use of Beethoven since Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. I’ll bet I’m not the only one who began developing a taste for classical music because of the first movie.

Word is that Grindhouse/”Death Proof” offers up some badass ’70s muscle car blood-n-guts-n-twisted metal with real-live hot stunt chicks clinging to the non-CGI hood. And Bruce in a cameo.
