Wonderful, simply wonderful, Robert! One of the best Vent/Jihad Watches to date.
robblefarian on April 3, 2007 at 9:33 AM
Well done, Mr Spenser. Entertaining, funny, and chillingly informative. I wonder, can the guy buying the pizza allege discrimination because he’s not a muslim? Never mind. Forget I asked.
austinnelly on April 3, 2007 at 9:35 AM
COULD I LOVE ROBERT MORE?
DAMN, he’s cuddly.
He does straight guy pretty well. GASBAG Garrison Keillor never looked SOOOoooo good. And Garrison has never been STRAIGHT a day in his life!

Off topic sad note,
LAST WWI NAVY VET DIES AT 105. Only three Doughboys left.

Trust me, you are funnier than Garrison Keillor, as are lung cancer and dead kittens.
However, you forgot to blame Bush at the end of your tale. I don’t remember any of this trouble before Bush invaded Iraq and made everyone angry at us.
saint kansas on April 3, 2007 at 9:40 AM
I used to be a big Garrison Keillor fan before NPR was infected by Bush derangement syndrome. I still listen to the show from time to time.
Keillor can be eloquent on the subject of Christianity, which makes him different from most of his liberal friends. His recordings of gospel songs are reverent and respectful; not the least bit comedic or satiric.
Nice Jihad Watch, Spence. Can we call you Spence?

Oh great, way to go, Bob. Now everybody in America named “Ted Hanson” is going to get a subpoena.

Great Vent! As a citizen of the not-so great state of Minnesota, I have seen this left-wing ignorance and ineptitude growing all my life.
RedinBlueCounty on April 3, 2007 at 11:34 AM
Great Vent Robert Spencer!
We need to keep attention focused on domestic infiltration of the Islamofacist.
I have come to the conclusion that the “moderate” Muslim is a myth. In my opinion Muslims support adoption of Islamic law, either actively or in passive support, regardless of the legal system of the country they reside. They have have no wish to assimilate into our nation and are in reality elements of jihad infiltration with the stated objective of an Islamic state.
Perhaps Robert Spencer would address the issue of what constitues the “moderate” Muslim and the conclusion of some that Muslim immigration into non-Islamic states is actually active infiltration of a group committed to conquest of the “infidel”.

Outstanding as usual. I only wish you had platform like that given to Rosie.
TheBigOldDog on April 3, 2007 at 12:01 PM
Great, and yet completely horrifying Jihad Watch. We can’t let Muslims assert their faith on us. Just because they can’t eat pork doesn’t mean they can prevent us from doing so and so on…
This needs to be stopped before we’re turned into Canada.
Esthier on April 3, 2007 at 12:28 PM
Keillor makes The Machine gag, but sucked it up and watched — and enjoyed — this little satiric endeavor into truth telling.
Don’t let Keillor’s singing of the gospel songs mislead you — it is all about the music and not the Lord.

The left has its head so far in the sand it can’t even see that it would be the first victims of these people. Excellent vent, Robert.
PRCalDude on April 3, 2007 at 12:48 PM
“not as funny as Garrison Keillor”?
He’s funny ?
Agreed…excellent VENT, Robert.
It’s all getting so out-of-hand…

That’s pretty much what Michael Graham said on his radio show that got him fired. His argument was something like this: “If moderate Muslims want to disabuse us of the notion that Islam is a terrorist organization, they need to speak up and become active and visible.” Of course, CAIR took from that “Islam is a terrorist organization” and pressured the station to cut him loose for hate speech.
saint kansas on April 3, 2007 at 2:17 PM
We all know that this is happening, the cab drivers at the airport here in Columbus Ohio are doing the same things, it’s at least getting some press though. The question is though, just what can be done to make this craziness stop?
If we don’t knock off all this political correctness crap, this country is doomed. Frankly, I think it’s already too late, but I’d sure love to hear some ideas on how to stop this horsesh()t.
pwhited on April 3, 2007 at 2:41 PM
Trying to get a group of people somewhere using muslim cabs is kind of like playing the fox, the goose, and the grain.

I live in Minnesota and as far as people waking up here, it ain’t gonna happen. People here would rather apologize to the Muslim cabbie then haul all their luggage to the next cab in hopes of getting a ride.
The Flying Imams knew they had easy pickins here.
oakpack on April 3, 2007 at 5:35 PM
Excellent Vent, Mr. Spencer. Right on target, as usual.
This points out that clearly, Muslim groups all around the country (not just in Minnesota, but Michigan, Ohio, Arizona, Texas, New Jersey) actively and delibrately conspire to use our laws against us.
The flying Imams is the best example of a well planned win-win for them and a lose-lose for the rest of us. They’re the ones who went out of their way to be conspicuous, drawing attention to clearly unusual behavior. If nobody says anything, they know America has gotten complacent again, and if passengers complain, which any scenario gamer would predict would be the likely result, they get to sue, and claim Islamophobia, etc. Give them credit, it was well played. But don’t ever let them claim that it is just a matter of freedom of religion. It, and all of the examples Robert gave, is being done for a specific reason:
To create special laws and situations that are favorable to Muslims and Muslims only. This fits in neatly with their supremacist philosophy. So far it is working out nicely for them.
A cabbie has to get a franchise license, and as a service provider, most likely has to abide by the same non-discrimination laws as the rest of us. Why isn’t the law being enforced?
A cashier at a store which sells pork products, or alcohol for that matter, knows that is part of the job description upon employment. Saying they can do the job as described and then refusing to do so is a breach of the employment contract. Why is she/he not summarily fired, as any Jew or Christian would be?
Two reasons– fear of Muslim wrath and Political Correctness.
We, as a freedom loving secular society, need to get over both and start fighting not only these actions, but changing the environment which makes the success of this kind of nonsense possible.
/bloviation over. (I realize that soon, someone here will say the same thing better, with 1/3 the words)

As a political refugee from the Peoples Republic of Minnesota (aka Land of 10,000 taxes) now living in AZ I feel for ya.
The only problem is the next cab is also probably the same way. I have flown into MSP (Minneapolis St Paul airport) probably 50 times in the last couple of years and I can not recall having a non Somalian cab driver. I’m assuming not all of them are Muslim but anyone wanting to place a HUGE wager on getting the non Muslim cabbie…….let me know ASAP. I’m talking Congressional vote buying HUGE!
Just remember not all Minnesotans are crazy, blind and/or dumb. Don’t forget the Jon Carry picture group was MN Guard unit! The Red Bulls!

“Refused to sell pork products because of their religious convictions”. For some reason, I am reminded of the American pharmacists who refused to sell birth control products because of their religious convictions. Perhaps they were “radical Christians”? Maybe the lesson they taught was heard. Something about a saucy goose coming home to roost in a black kettle.
