John Doe backlash: Leftists attack MM

It’s as predictable as the sunrise: Michelle takes a serious and commonsense stand in a catchy way that generates some buzz, and unserious leftist children smear and attack her for it. I would chalk it up to mere jealousy — when was the last time Wonkette was relevant on any issue or story at all? — but when Michelle’s concerned there’s always more to the story. The dirty little secret of liberal racism lurks about a nanometer below the surface here. As does general liberal fecklessness on national security.
I have a simple question for the deep thinkers and cancer-cheerleaders at HuffPo and Wonkette:
Do you agree that US citizens should be protected from lawsuits if they report something that strikes them as suspicious?
Yes or no will do. That question is at the heart of the John Doe Manifesto. It’s at the heart of the flying/suing imams story. It’s also at the heart of the war itself. We’ve all seen those signs on the highways: REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. Should we take them all down and sue people who follow the instruction?
What say you, liberals? Whose side are you on? Are you on the side of the ordinary Americans who reported the odd and deliberate activities of the imams on that airplane, or are you on the side of those imams and their lawyers suing average people for speaking up? CAIR or the pilot? Choose one.
Be careful how you answer that. Answer one way, and you’re stifling the free speech of ordinary citizens who are being sued for using their eyes and their brains and speaking up. You’ll be chilling free speech. You’ll be stripping flight crews of their authority on aircraft. Answer the other way, and you’re siding with Michelle Malkin. But you’ll also be on the side of the little guy against the well-heeled lawyers, and you’ll be on the side of reason and free speech. What’s a liberal to do?
I doubt that’s even a tough call for most of you. But I’d love to be surprised.

And they wonder why she calls them ‘unhindged’.
Tony737 on April 2, 2007 at 1:15 PM
They’re on the side of whoever isn’t white, and accuse everyone who disagrees with them of being racist. Hey, it’s worked for them so far…
Enrique on April 2, 2007 at 1:18 PM
You miss their point. We as citizens need to rely on an overarching HUGE government to protect us.
Whether its Taxes, Government handouts for “disaster”, or somthing as simple as the right to own a gun and defend YOURSELF… they really think we should leave it up to the governement… after all, the government knows better doesn’t it?
The John Doe law is about Citizens Protecting themselves… heck, if they can do that what do we need bit government… and huge taxes for?
Romeo13 on April 2, 2007 at 1:18 PM
Bryan, they have no idea because teh leadership of the Democratic party has not told them what to believe, yet. Once Pelosi et al tells them what to believe they will be ready to take a stance. Until then, they will go by the old standbys of racism and Islamophobia.
JasonG on April 2, 2007 at 1:23 PM
That’s easy, they’ll side with the Imams and terrorists.
Capitalist Infidel on April 2, 2007 at 1:25 PM
They don’t see it that way. They see a small minority needing protection from the big bad majority, and, any side the GOP chooses is the wrong side of the debate.
Rick on April 2, 2007 at 1:26 PM
You’re not helping, Enrique. The imams aren’t white, but neither is Michelle. Ibrahim Hooper is, though, and he’s with the imams. So the libs have been robbed of that particular and usually reliable guidepost.
Bryan on April 2, 2007 at 1:26 PM
Libs have no problem telling kids in school to rat out doper parents (neither do I).
Libs have no problem telling kids to rat out child molesters (neither do I).
Libs have a problem telling citizens to rat out murderers.
I am sooooo confused.
Limerick on April 2, 2007 at 1:28 PM
Some libs, not all, have a problem with the above. There are many libs that don’t have a problem with dopers; there are many libs that think having a sexual relationship with a child is okay (get rid of the age of consent); and there are many libs that think that some murderers are really not murderers – that they are the byproduct of the system, and therefore deserve to be free.

I would expact a typical liberal answer to go something like this:
Well Bryan, (babble, babble, babble) free speech (babble, babble, babble) fascist airlines (babble, babble, babble) ACLU (babble, babble, babble) vast right wing conspiracy (babble, babble, babble) racist (babble, babble, babble) truth to power (babble, babble, babble) islamophobic (babble, babble, babble) Bush lied (babble, babble, babble) so don’t question my patriotism!

This behavior fits the profile presented by Evan Sayet
Their entire worldview is centered around being opposed to discrimination, then being indiscriminate as the end result – utterly failing to discriminate between actors or actions.

These are the same people who have been raking the Bush adminstration over the coals for ignoring the warnings in a memo by a FBI field agent, right? Just want to make sure we are talking about the same bunch.
Of course now they wouldn’t want the FBI or anybody else to even get a tip. Makes perfect sense to me!
What did they know and when did they know it will become as extinct as the dodo bird.

Yeah, our state has pretty much banned smoking, and now friendly signs have gone up all over town with a handy toll-free number to call if you spot (and wish to report– anonymously, of course) a violation. Why politely ask Joe Camel if he’d mind putting out that fag when you can jump on the cell and have the cops roll up?
I can understand where these Huff’n'Puffers are coming from, though. Hollywood, the news, and the schools have been telling white kids all their lives that they’re racists, latent or otherwise. And so we jump at any (easy) opportunity to prove otherwise and ease that white guilt. That quick risk analysis in your head shows that the risk of being perceived as racist generally outweighs the risk of, say, being the target of a hijacking or bombing. So, yes, John Doe is racist. It’s instant gratification for the liberal soul.

Sorry Bryan, needed fixing.
‘Snitching’ and ‘protecting’ from the Left only pertains to:
- anonymous sources to the MSM
- traitorous and confidential releases from gov’t sources
- the Libby case, and others like it
- reporting carpool breaches
…not protecting the average Joe/Jane from flying in peace.

Well, no, because they don’t want the government to do anything, either.
Because we’re not really at war, see, and even if Bush, Cheney, Rove, et.al. weren’t behind 9/11 (and they probably were), well, we had it coming – haven’t you seen those pictures of Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam??
To sum up:
1. The US Government was probably behind 9/11.
2. On the off chance it wasn’t, who can blame al Qaeda for doing what they did?
3. If you’re on an airplane and a group of Muslim men split up, arrange themselves in a seating configuration similar to the one employed by the “9/11 hijackers,” ask for seatbelt extenders, etc., and you think this activity is “suspicious,” you’re a racist. Even if “Muslim” ain’t a race and even if you’re Muslim yourself.

Beat me to it. I was just going to link to that fantasic Evan Sayat video. The quote that really struck me from it was that, in the Leftist worldview, “Evil is the victim of good”. I believe that cuts closer to the core of their sickness than anything I’ve heard. They’re so wracked with their pseudo-religious guilt, that they try to make even Evil itself into a victim. This would help explain their compulsion to take the wrong view of everything because it is wrong, not in spite of it. Or in Rand’s words, they hate the good because it is good.

I think the poster was being sarcastic.
lorien1973 on April 2, 2007 at 2:09 PM
They don’t like it because Michelle has challenged and not submitted to the Left’s new official religion: Islam. The Left loves Islam. Having Muslims be able to sue innocent and vigilant Americans is good for the enemies of America; therefore, it is good for the Left. Michelle Malkin has effectively spearheaded opposition, so the Left has become unhinged.

So I am not allowed to think It is right to report a crime because I might be racist if I did… A man with a gun goes into a store and runs out with a bag of money and the clerk is yelling “help me I’ve been shot”… but I wont report it because I don’t want to be sued for being a racist.

Oh Boy. MM holds up that crucible of truth and the moonbats just go wack-a-dooooooooooo! I love to hear them screaming! Way to go Michele!
To borrow from that great VDH piece of the Muzzies:
“Nothing a fascist (Democrat) says can be trusted, since all means are relegated to the ends of seeing their ideology reified. So too Islamic (Democrat) fascists, by any means necessary, will fib, and hedge for the cause of Islamism (Liberalism). Keep that in mind when considering ( the Dem’s) protestations about
(anything the Republicans stand for.) (my emphasis) So Michele made another big “Gothcha’!”

JustTruth101 on April 2, 2007 at 2:35 PM
Nailed it in one.
I long ago concluded that – despite the vast cognitive dissonance it requires – liberalism is deeply ingrained with racism and sexism.
Nothing on Earth angers a liberal more quickly than one of those brown folks (or, God forbid, a brown womanfolk) daring to speak her independent thoughts.
If Michelle Malkin were white, she would not be a target of liberal hate. Period. That so many of the attacks against her are actually explicitly racist (ping pong balls, etc) is just par for the course.
To be a liberal, you MUST believe that you exist to rescue minorities, that your way of thinking is the only way of thinking, and that any minority who has a thought not in line with yours is a traitor to your cause.
As a white male, they’ll never hate me as much as they hate Michelle. Or Clarence Thomas, or Michael Steele. Never.
Again, I note with irony that it’s very similar to radical Islam: to the Muslim extremists, Christians and Jews (and the secular) will never be as loathed as “moderate” Muslims, or Muslims who dare to lead secular lives, or suggest a little critical thinking.
Same exact principle. Michelle’s gone off the reservation. She’s supposed to be off burning a flag somewhere. Supporting terrorism. That they could support.
Liberals are sometimes dangerous and sometimes amusing, but one thing they always, ALWAYS are – is predictable.

Yep, that’s it. I’m done.
Often times I try to be a middle man, ignoring the exaggerations and cherry pickings of blogs, left and right. More and more, I find myself siding with the conservatives. This issue makes it clearer than ever where I stand, and with who. Make no mistake, I’m still left of center on some issues, but this is ludicrous. What’s the choice here? No choice whatsoever.
For more idiocy, check this out.
SouthernDem on April 2, 2007 at 2:42 PM
Please, please tell me that isn’t true.
April Fool’s, right?
That cannot be happening in America.
Professor Blather on April 2, 2007 at 2:43 PM
The problem isn’t being left of center. There are plenty of legitimate debates about the role of government in our lives. There are certainly issues that are open for discussion.
The problem is that the left is not liberal any more. There is nothing “left of center” about abject, suicidal stupidity. There is nothing liberal about racist, sexist hate, or avoiding logic in favor of bizarre partisanship. Liberalism abandoned liberal principles a quarter-century ago.
I gotta tell you: I truly feel sorry for folks like you. It must be endlessly frustrating. I keep waiting for a million man march of moderate Democrats, with all of you holding up “Not in Our Name” signs.
Professor Blather on April 2, 2007 at 2:46 PM
You must understand – liberals are against people reporting “suspicious” behavior because they are likely to be the one’s engaging in said behavior.

I read about this on Michelle’s blog. Even though I should know better by now, I clicked through the link to the HuffPo article. Blech. After that, I couldn’t stand the idea of clicking through to the Wonkette comments.
The HuffPo author ignored the substance of the “I am John Doe” campaign to mock its style. He could have written a well-reasoned liberal warning about the dangers of encouraging suspicion of “the other,” but he didn’t. It was a snarky piece of sophomoric mockery, with a dollop of gratuitous BS about how Michelle should know better because she is, you know, Asian and a woman ‘n stuff. Because those Asians are usually, you know, too smart to be knuckle-dragging red-state conservatives.
As for Wonkette, the quote that Michelle featured was hilarious, although I’m sure it was unintentional. If I remember correctly, Wonkette was started by a woman, but is now run by a guy who wishes he was a woman …. right? Either way, s/he needs to brush up on his/her multi-cultural education. No country club Republican would ever mistake Michelle for a Geisha, since we were paying attention while watching reruns of “Shogun.” We know there has never been a Fillipina Geisha — they have all pretty much been Japanese.
Sheesh. And liberals think they’re the smart ones!

The argument should be a NO BRAINER – Oops!
Kini on April 2, 2007 at 2:54 PM
I should have quoted the Wonkette article to set up the joke in my previous post. Wonette said (and I am paraphrasing for the sake of clarity) that despite MM’s conservative writings, she would never be viewed as anything other than a maid or Geisha by country-club Republicans.
Clearly Wonkette has never read the various “Michelle is so awesome, and way hot!” postings on this blog by various guys (some country-club, others just country boys).
Anton on April 2, 2007 at 2:58 PM
Agreed. Which goes a long way toward explaining why libs hate conservative racial minorities so much: because they’re ungrateful. Not only do they have the nerve to think for themselves, but they do so with nary a “thank you” for everything that modern liberalism has given them: official group status as “victims,” affirmative action reverse racism, welfare-related poverty and broken families.
The insolent gall and impudence of ingrates like Michelle to her liberal masters must really get under their skin, given the vitriol and bile of their langauge toward her.
Good for Michelle! I only wish I could offend present-day “progressives” as effortlessly as she does just by the simple act of being.
Spurius Ligustinus on April 2, 2007 at 3:03 PM
1) So, why not posthumously sue the entire complement of passengers on Flight 93? Did they not call their friends and family to report suspicious activity? Didn’t they take matters into their own hands instead of waiting for the “authorities” to make the call?
2) The Left can’t keep this game up much longer – racist hyperbole is steadily being overtaken by common sense. People do not care for hypocrisy. The Left is playing this too close to the edge by their spittle-filled rhetoric against personable people like Michelle. She should not be discouraged by it, it’s desperation tactics. Decent people do not like to see this sort of thing and do not want to associate themselves with it. They have a sense of fair play and spewing bile at people isn’t considered fair or decent.
naliaka on April 2, 2007 at 3:07 PM
It’s also clear that Wonkette hasn’t walked around CPAC or anywhere else with Michelle. I have, and I’ve seen probably hundreds of those “country club Republicans” stand in lines to meet her and tell her how much they admire her, how they hope their daughters grow up to be like her, and so forth. And I’ve seen liberals treat her with open contempt.
The whole line about Republicans treating her like a maid is a racist attack, pure and simple. Wonkette wouldn’t launch that attack at any white conservative. They intend the attack to call Republicans racist while putting Michelle down, but it’s a line that backfires on them rather badly, especially given how they consistently treat her vs they way they treat pretty much everyone else. It’s all of a piece with the smears that she doesn’t write her own material, that she’s a white man’s puppet, etc etc etc ad nauseum. They don’t like debating the issues on the merits against her, they’re too lazy to gather up the facts they would need to be able to do so, so they resort to cheap and obviously sexist and racist attacks. And they get away with it because they’re liberals and most conservatives and libertarians lack the backbone it takes to call them out on it.

I will say this however, since Michelle is making more appearances on Fox News shows the caliber of looks for the person representing the “balanced” side of the segment has improved dramatically.
So if for no other reason we need to thank the liberals for responding in kind to the likes of Michelle and MKH. It sure makes the debate more pleasant to watch without folks like Susan Estritch squealing on and on.
/ Hey I am trying to be nice
LakeRuins on April 2, 2007 at 3:21 PM
Yup. And I think what really pisses them off is that, somewhere in the back of their heads, they realize that is EXACTLY thes “ungrateful” minorities who are going to fill the pages of history books in future centuries.
Condoleeza Rice. Clarence Thomas. Colin Powell. Your grandchildren’s children will read their names. They’ll appear on 8th grade pop quizzes and be the subject of 11th grade term papers.
Nobody will remember Cynthia McKinney.
For the liberals not drowning in self-delusion, this truth must be pretty apparent. It’s the minorities who have defied the liberal agenda who will be remembered.
Think how much that must piss them off!
My happy thought for the day. Yes, you’re welcome.
Professor Blather on April 2, 2007 at 3:24 PM
Spurius Ligustinus you hit the nail right on the head.
Because my wife is also an American with Filipino parents, I take the racist rants against Michelle rather personally.
None of this surprises me in the least. Our “friends” on the left are far more intolerant and racist than *any* of my conservative friends.
Malpaso on April 2, 2007 at 3:39 PM
Heh. They’ve spent forty frickin’ years touting the greatness of government, yet whenever I turn the television on I see and hear how the government isn’t getting the job done. Sometimes I actually see a story about how bad the government screwed something up, and then the next story is one explaining why the government should get involved in something. The idiocy of this seems lost on these losers.
The hidden message in all of this goes like this: Yeah, the government is messing up, but that’s because we keep hamstringing them with stupid ideas like states’ rights and other such nonsense. If we just let the government do MORE, if we just gave ourselves over to the government TOTALLY, all problems will just melt away.

It’s a big deal to arrest a guy just for being creepie, but it’s an entirely differenty thing to notice it and report it to the police or a security guard. It’s not even a big deal to me for the police to talk to a guy they think is out of place. Questioning and keeping an eye on someone is not harrasment. And this from a guy who used to have security follow me around in malls and things just because my friends and I had long hair and they all wore trench coats. Fact is, by keeping an eye on us, it protected us from being falsely accused of anything.

I often wonder how many people have died in America because of liberalism. It’s gotta number in the millions by now. The creation of a vast, crime ridden welfare class alone ratchets up that death count on a daily basis. Their programs aren’t just monetarily wasteful, they’re deadly.
jaleach on April 2, 2007 at 4:13 PM
Spurius Lingustus: Really interesting and useful analysis. It makes total sense. It is not only Michelle; you should see the spew of hate on Cpl Matt Sanchez’s blog by gay rights activists to someone who gave up gay porn and reformed his life. He is Puerto Rican, has renounced his past, promotes conservative causes, and won an award at CPAC: Wow, that really makes the Left unhinged. They are gleefully lobbying for him to be booted from the Marine Corps reserves, while at the same they actively want gays to be in the military. These left-wingers are messed up.
januarius on April 2, 2007 at 4:24 PM
What a great point, jaleach. I was just thinking about that today; if welfare works so well, why do we still have ghettoes? Why aren’t we all equal yet? Our schools, quality of life, etc? The only logical conclusion one can come to is that the left doesn’t want the poor to ever get a leg up and they resent the ones who do. I’ve been in meetings where we discuss NASCAR demos and I see one liberal guy that I work with in particular sneer and make fun as if he resents these working class people – you know the ones they supposedly stick up for. They make fun of people who shop at Wal-Mart – as if they’re better – they do it all of the time. And yet they profess to care about the working class.
foxforce91 on April 2, 2007 at 4:26 PM
Yes, I agree.
The nuts see a young, attractive woman, and think, there must be something wrong with her since she’s not on our side. Point is, there shouldn’t be sides. I don’t think Michelle would attack anyone for simply being liberal. It just so happens that liberals don’t have any (good) ideas right now, and resort to nasty vitriole.

dinasour on April 2, 2007 at 4:46 PM
Hey, if poverty disappeared tomorrow, what would feel-good liberals do? ;)
The fact is, poverty will never disappear under any governmental system. As for equality, the Declaration of Independence clearly states “that all men are created equal” with regards to natural rights. That doesn’t mean, nor has it or will it ever mean, equality in every aspect of human life. We are born equal, but divergent paths soon make themselves known. As they should. Why would we all want to be equal? What would happen to their cherished “diversity” if everyone was the same?
He laughs because he thinks they’re poor whites, for one. They don’t think minorities like NASCAR. Throw in the myth that NASCAR is solely a southern phenomenon, and the fact that liberals can’t get past the civil rights movement and the South’s role in that part of our history, and there is the source of the sneers and jeers. I don’t particularly care for NASCAR myself, but that doesn’t mean I feel the need to relentlessly mock those who do.
I just finished reading Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations”. It’s a good book. The author, if you remember, was a great champion for the poor and downtrodden. He often imbued his novels with scenes of cruel treatment of the poor. He’s often credited with bringing about social reform movements that got rid of things like imprisonment for debt and the like. But what isn’t as well known is that Dickens privately thought he was better than the poor wretches he wrote about. I was so reminded of modern liberalism that I laughed out loud when I read that! Apparently, liberal do-gooderism matched with elitist superiority has been around for some time!

foxforce91 on April 2, 2007 at 5:21 PM
You saw Michelle in person? Is she as lovely as she looks on television?
jaleach on April 2, 2007 at 5:23 PM
She’s prettier in person, if you can believe that’s possible. And she’s tiny – like a size 0.
foxforce91 on April 2, 2007 at 5:25 PM
I can’t imagine prettier. You’d need to be wearing sunglasses to look at her.
As for her size, I figured she was small from the videos here on Hot Air. But size zero? Whew! Just another reason for some liberal fata** like Rosie O’Donnell to hate her.
jaleach on April 2, 2007 at 5:30 PM
She’s gracious and sweet and adorable. Seemed really nice, didn’t mind that I had interrupted whatever it was she was doing, (setting up the Hot Air booth, I think) to get a picture with her. When some guys came up for a picture, she said, “Ladies first” and let me go first. But seriously -she is prettier in person. I was kind of taken aback by it.
foxforce91 on April 2, 2007 at 5:39 PM
You just summed up the whole kit and kaboodle (whatever those are!) in that one question.
Conservatives do things. Liberals oppose things. They live to dissent. To be against. To march and protest. That’s why 8 years of Dubya have made them deliriously happy. It’s the most meaning they’ve felt since the Vietnam era.
And it’s why deep down they don’t really want to solve any of the issues they claim to care about. It’s exactly this that makes liberals secretly (and sometimes not so secretly) prefer that we lose in Iraq …. because if Bush is right, and peace reigns in the Middle East … their lives become empty.
Their goals don’t mean anything. They have none. They just want something to be against, so that they can feel better about themselves.
End poverty? God, no. Imagine all those liberals with nothing to protest.
This is why I seriously am almost hoping for 8 years of Al Gore in the White House. It makes liberals MISERABLE when they’re actually running the show. Plus, all of this becomes pretty obvious to average Americans.
Professor Blather on April 2, 2007 at 6:17 PM
I like it better when the lefties straightforwardly side with the enemy. Let them back the flying imams wholeheartedly. I look forward to them defending that position to Joe & Jane American, sitting in their living room in Middle America, going, “Is this the Democrats or some kind of crazy Saturday Night Live skit?”
It can be kind of hard to tell sometimes. I can only hope that the mindless zeal of lefties for all things against America leads them to make more such mistakes in the future. It makes it so much easier to put them on the spit and roast them.

Interesting that the liberals, the champions of race and all that is good in the universe, have posted such horrid photo shops of Michelle. Like on that general JC page (11 on the man meter? Sheooot son, I would whup your ass without breaking a sweat, and I am half way crippled. Maybe .011 on the man meter)
Some of the recent pics look like they wrere lifted from anti jap propaganda from the 40’s.
I read some fairly extreme opinions here at Hot air (I may even write some) But noting comes close to the garbage they spew at the hard core lefty sites. Talk about a people needing lithium and therapy.

The best way to stop a crime before it happens is to report ALL suspicious activity. That’s something I learned as a kid. My parents told me to tell them if some is lurking around the house or parks. That was 40 years ago and that advice is still valid today. The Imam’s were acting in a suspicious nature and it only makes sense to report that activity. Only a fool ignores suspicious activity, and only a fool questions the motives behind any response to those reports.
As an example, think for a moment about those drunk drivers that have been stopped because someone driving home noticed that the car ahead of them was driving erratically back and forth and called the police to report that suspicious activity. Just think about how may lives have been saved because someone used common sense and reported that activity.
If the moodbats think reporting suspicious activity is wrong, then a lot of crimes will be commented and a lot of people will die needlessly. That is NOT acceptable. When you see suspicious activity, it is your civic DUTY to report it. Someone’s life just may depend on it.

Isn’t this the same thing FDR asked Americans to do in WWII? Or what Woodrow Wilson (another Demorat) wanted us to do during WWI? Just taken to a new level for this modern day and age

hahaha
Great choices for the moonbats Bryan! I can hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth already!

I decided to read what some of the Huffers were saying, thinking that maybe there is a reason for all the uproar against Michelle. I found the reason(s). It is racism, the uneducated, oblivious and just plain hatred of everything but themselves.
There were no answers or reasoning for any of their positions. Just hate.

“I admire Democrats who are sticking it out and trying to restore sanity to their party.”
I do too.
I want the party of JFK, FDR, Wilson, and Truman back. America needs *TWO* patriotic political parties.
But we do not have two such parties because the Democrats have been taken over by a bunch of America-hating brownshirts, who stole control of the Party in 1972 (after a failed putsch in 1968). And it will almost certainly take an act of “political violence” (an internal purge) to rid the Party from the current leadership.
I don’t think it is possible in the next decade or so.
Joe Lieberman, a man of conscience and patriotism essentially stands alone today. Will no other Democrats join him?

I think polio did more than just affect FDR’s legs. And you can thank Wilson for the imposed income tax. If they were alive today they’d be buds with Kennedy & Reid.

“They’re on the side of whoever isn’t white, and accuse everyone who disagrees with them of being racist. Hey, it’s worked for them so far… “
Enrique on April 2, 2007 at 1:18 PM
Actually, they are on the side of whoever they define as being “white”.
Imagine The Machine’s surprise, after being black for close to 60 years, fighting unfairness and prejudice almost every minute of the way, to find out that The Machine is really a “white christianist male”. As defined by the left.
Up is down, down is up and cabbages are kings.

If the RNC had any, they would head up a drive to recall all 121 dissenters on the John Doe Protection Act.

What exactly is a “country club Republican”? Most of the country club members I deal with, and I deal with many, are died in the wool liberals. Your typical Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, rich through no real work of thier own type people.
Country Club Republican is yet another bit of misinformation from the left trying to convince the weak minded that Republicans are the evil, racist, and elitists even though that far more often describes the typical Democratic campaign donor.

I am not so sure about this —
Zell Miller is one Democrat that I am sorta’ fond of.

What’s wrong with everyone regarding the Flying Imams?
Why don’t people understand that those poor, innocent Imams were minding their own business, doing their own thing, and that they are victims of profiling, religious discrimination, flying while Muslim, and Islamophobia!
Get a clue people!
The pilots, flight crew, airport security, police, FBI, Homeland Security, and all the passengers should all be sued, arrested, and incarcerated for violating the rights of this poor band of innocent traveling Muslim Holy Men.
Furthermore, all the crew, security, government investigators, and passengers who reported their fears and suspicions, must be sent to sensitivity training for no less than six months, must enter rehab for no less than six months, and do community service, at least 20 hour per week for no less than one year, and must convert to Islam and practice Islam religiously for the rest of their lives, and donate 15% of their earnings to Islam and Islamic causes!
If this is not done, then this is a terrible miscarriage of justice!
Of course if the “John Doe” passengers do not cooperate and do as they are told, they should be tortured, like the inmates at Guantanamo are tortured every hour of every day! Playing soccer, eating delicious meals which are better than what the soldiers eat, tossing feces at guards, ambushing guards, spitting at guards, harassing female physicians who are taking care of inmates, as the Muslim “inmates” at Guantanamo engage in, are all hard work that no one would want to endure!
(wink, wink. nudge, nudge)
