As a Floridian (native born), I disagree. Tancredo has as much a chance as any of the rest in carrying this state. What will determine votes from Miami will be his position on illegals/refugees from Cuba vs. those from say Haiti or Mexico.

The media is spinning who they want to be in office…….so those of you who prefer The New York Times,CBS.NBC,FOX et al choose your president for you, then keep bashing true Patriots like Tancredo who at least is entering the race for a cause and not to salve his own inflated ego. Amazing how some of you are aware of how the media tries to do your thinking for you on some things and are totally clueless when it comes to how they are trying to shape the Presidential race.
On another note, those of us truly afraid this coming human tide will be the end of this country as one of Irish heritage I also do not want millions of Irish engulfing the country on my dime…Comprende???

Tancredo has some good things to say here about the need for America to be a melting pot and about the danger of making diversity into a quasi-religious goal, but he betrays himself when he makes it clear that he only wants a melting pot that produces white English-speakers.

He also rather disingenuously refers to his issue as being that of illegal immigration when he clearly is opposed to much legal immigration as well. His problem isn’t the legality of the immigrants, it’s the immigrants.

I’ve been impressed with Tancredo’s willingness to speak out forcefully in support of Taiwan and in opposition to the ACLU. And let’s not forget, he owns the nuke Mecca issue.

Seriously though, it would be a good deterent to have a president in the White House that enemies would have no doubt in their mind would nuke them off the face of the earth if they brought mass death to the US.

He’s conservative on EVERY issue, and he’s every bit as tough on Iraq and the “War on Terror” as Giuliani, which is pretty much the ONLY reason given by those who claim to support Giuliani.

Giuliani has absolutely zero on Tancredo, and Giuliani’s stances are disgraceful on all other issues conservatives are supposed to care about.

Thank God for Fred Thompson. Due to those who have fallen for Giuliani’s con game, I was beginning to think it was a lost cause.

While it’s true that he’s conservative on a variety of issues, it’s fair to say his drum is immigration, and he’s already banging it pretty hard and regularly.

I’m still leaning toward Rudy, of the candidates now running.
