A pair of Spectre gunships should take turns on station, (along with fighter and Wild Weasel escort) circling the skies above the UK embassy, while helicopters evacuate all personnel. The first few choppers could deliver Vulcan mini-cannons, the crews to fire them, and a metric assload of ammo. They’d be stationed at the highest point on the perimeter of the buildings, so that the Spectres could take some time off after sufficient numbers were in place.

The Rules of Engagement would allow targetting anyone attempting to enter the embassy, point a weapon in the general direction of our forces, or even look at them funny. While all this is happening, Britain’s busy apologizing for the loss of life during the Falklands War and British TV is getting set to air fictional propaganda of British soldiers pissing on Iraqis in Basra. Super.

Not just super but double super! What a GREAT time to air a fictional propaganda film like this. Guaranteed to quiet the masses and make everything A-OK. I thought the US was the only place where the MSM did things like this. I am not happy to say that I am glad I was wrong.

I would like to believe that this time the West, especially NATO, as one of the Captain’s readers notes, would not simply make disapproving noises like the EU did, or make a call on the UN Security Council for “sanctions” that mean nothing, and all the other useless gestures these cowards like to make, but simply smash the regime with overwhelming force.
