Video: KP almost says Rosie must go

posted at 11:12 pm on March 29, 2007 by Allahpundit

She almost won me back from Sweet Jane tonight. All it would have taken is her kicking Bertha to the curb. And wonder of wonders, Colmesy gave her the perfect opportunity, asking, “You want to shut her down?”

The decisive moment:

kp329.jpg

Alas, ’twas not to be.

She did herself proud, though; doubtless the death threats from “real Democrats” are filling up her inbox as we speak. And needless to say, no way no chance no how would Fleming have come down this hard on Unstable Mabel.

Good grief. Even liberal Jane Hall on the O’Factor tonight said Rosie had no right to make statements that were not factual. Come on, KP. I often defend you and tonight you disappointed me.

thedecider on March 29, 2007 at 11:15 PM

its sad that we even have to explain 1+1=2 to people.

lorien1973 on March 29, 2007 at 11:17 PM

AP, a nice and short companion clip might be from the beginning of O’Reilly tonight. Just catching the reairring… right after the intro finished and he said “thank you for watching us tonight” the first words out of his mouth were:

“Rosie O’Donnell has now reached critical mass….”

I don’t think the pun was intended, which makes it all the more funny.

RightWinged on March 29, 2007 at 11:19 PM

Alan needs to check his facts, by the way. The Spew has declined in ratings since January. Could it be due to Unstable Mabel driving the crazy train? Quite possibly. If Babs wants to keep her serious journalist creds, either she has to go, or the loon does.

Ditto on that.
Ace had it earlier in the week and it is time well spent.
Watch the first five minutes and you’ll watch the whole thing.

billy on March 29, 2007 at 11:28 PM

I’d pay to see a Malkin & Powers show. Screw this guest appearance crap, give them 30 minutes of hot Fox air!

Alan gets his facts from the View? He must quoth the Rosie.
The Knows all, Sees All, Tells all, Rosie “Broom Hilda” ODonneld

Kini on March 29, 2007 at 11:33 PM

I’m sorry, but Colmes is a dildo. He’s carrying water for mullahs, and now, courtesy of Rosie, Truthers? Is there no one he wouldn’t be an apologist for? You could get them talking about Jack the Ripper, and he’d be like, “Well, take the name Ripper–personally, I prefer Jack the Troubled–it may be his hatred of the name Ripper that spurred him on to further attacks. . .” If someone, G-d forbid murdered his mother, for heavens sake, he’d be saying, “Well, you know, my mother can be pretty demanding. . .”

smellthecoffee on March 29, 2007 at 11:35 PM

Alan has any facts? He just takes the anti-american stand and attempts to legitimize or excuse evil. While hannity sits there with that frickin’ smirk on his face waiting to ask another pointless question. I hate hannity almost as much as I hate colmes.

lorien1973 on March 29, 2007 at 11:41 PM

I hate hannity almost as much as I hate colmes.

lorien1973 on March 29, 2007 at 11:41 PM

And so the momentum for Malkin&Powers just grows and grows…

billy on March 29, 2007 at 11:45 PM

That Colmes is a real, a real–words fail me–and I really do want to get this posted. He’s already carrying water for the mullah’s, and now, courtesy of Rosie, he’s carrying water for Truthers, and even more water for the mullahs, at the expense of some hostages, for heaven’s sake. Don’t his arms ever get tired? Is there no one he wouldn’t be an apologist for? If they were talking about Jack the Ripper, he be saying, “There you to with those Ripper talking points again. Personally I prefer “Jack the Troubled,” and maybe his hatred of the name Ripper is what spurred him on to further attacks? Should I call you Sean the Ripper, would you like that?” What he is–let’s just say it rhymes with banker.

smellthecoffee on March 29, 2007 at 11:49 PM

I’m curious what colmes thinks of 9/11? Usually trutherism rears its ugly head about wtc7 and expands from there. Has he ever mentioned what he thinks about this?

Surely, if nothing else and if colmes is not a truther, he must see that putting the truther disease on mainstream airwaves is destructive. But then again, maybe thats why he’s coddling it.

lorien1973 on March 29, 2007 at 11:54 PM

You heartless gigolo, you think for one moment Kool-Aid Jane would have fired Rosie?

I know this is just all to make KP jealous.

lorien1973 on March 29, 2007 at 11:41 PM

I’ve been saying it for a long time, glad I’m not alone. Right2bright is with us too.

H&C are BOTH total dunces, to the point where the show is barely watchable. Please Sean, can you do the ‘rotten things that Harry Reid, Kucinich, Dick Turban, Ted *hic*(but only *hic* on radio) Kennedy, John Kerry said, and aren’t you ashamed (liberal name here) speech again, I love it ever so much! Someone should sit in the corner with a cattle prod and zap him when he does his speeches or tired talking points, like in SNL when Goatboy started eating things in Hey! Remember the 80′s!

I wish KP woulda called for Rosie’s removal. That’a been nice. This is gonna blow up in her face at some point.

Bad Candy on March 30, 2007 at 12:03 AM

I dunno. I’m starting to smell the ascension of trutherism. It seems to be bubbling over lately. I dunno how or why, but its gaining a bigger following and no one is speaking against the insanity.

lorien1973 on March 30, 2007 at 12:06 AM

Ugh! Agreed. Where’s our counter-point? It’s like they drag these crazy’s out for nothing more than ratings.

thedecider on March 30, 2007 at 12:10 AM

Good grief. Even liberal Jane Hall on the O’Factor tonight said Rosie had no right to make statements that were not factual.

Yeah. Just got done watching that.

The part that had me snickering was O’Reilly saying (repeatedly) that O’Donnell had hit “critical mass.”

Citizen Duck on March 30, 2007 at 12:11 AM

It’s quite an interesting moment when KP is trying her heart out to enlighten Colmesy. He’s a lost cause.

We live in surreal times:

-the terrorists kidnap a Jewish Soldier, Israel reacts, gets blamed for starting the war/squirmish with Lebanon

-the Revolutionary Army of Iran kidnapps the 15 British, and it’s TB/GB’s fault for considering actions against Iran

I believe the entire globe has gone insane and the ward is run by the patients.

Me too. Hannity couldn’t argue his way out of a wet paper bag with a hole in it. Even Rush isn’t always that great. You can always tell when he’s reached his limit when he starts telling the caller, “Well you’re just a liberal. . .” Coulter is tough in the clinches, and so is Medved. He went to Harvard at like 15 or something, and he just wipes the floor with opposition. And of course Michelle–well you can’t beat that combination of brains, a quick logical mind, hard work, and smoking hot beauty.

Here’s my whine: on the west coast, the rerun of Brit Hume’s show used to run at 9:00 pm, after O’Reilly. That was a perfect time to kick back and watch an intelligent show. Recently they Fox changed their schedule and H&C now runs at 9:00 pdt. Ugh. I don’t think Hume has done more than one story about Anna Nicole Smith. There in lies a big difference between the quality of the shows.

Mallard T. Drake on March 30, 2007 at 1:00 AM

Here’s who The View needs Brigitte Gabriel and Irshad Manji. These two babes and they look as good as they sound are so hot and right on with current events and American culture. Rosie, say good-bye. You just made their days.

auspatriotman on March 30, 2007 at 1:04 AM

Time to screw with The Views/ABC’s advertisers. Lets start the boycott.

GoodBoy on March 30, 2007 at 1:52 AM

Colmes is a lost soul, he’s never actually been lost but he is quite often powerful confused.

KP was absolutely right, Iran created the current hostage scenario and the more protracted this scam goes on the more likely Iran will be made to look the fool at the end.

I can’t help but wonder if Khamenei actually thinks this will become another hostage crisis as if Carter has by some time space warp has become Britain’s PM or if by threatening Blair’s credibility any advantage could be gained.
Not bloody likely.

smellthecoffee on March 29, 2007 at 11:35 PM

Heh heh. That first line sums up Colmes in a nutshell. And no, there’s nobody that he wouldn’t carry water for, as long as they’re tyrants, terrorists, or otherwise heinous. He is a flaming liberal, after all.

And the last I heard, Colmes referred to himself as “agnostic” about 9/11 Trutherism. Which shouldn’t even be an option, because you either have functional brain cells, or you don’t. But if he’s not against Trutherism, draw your own conclusions.

I don’t think Colmes even believes what he says. I am in no means a mind reader, but when he asks these dumb questions, his tiny voice inside his head is askin “Dude, what are you doing?

Uh, just what kind of troll do you think he is? The insanity that he’s talking about is trutherism and other stupid liberal tricks.

Anyway, speaking of Fox, I have to say that their nighttime programming (aside from Red Eye) is vastly overrated. In my opinion, Fox’s best shows are the afternoon to evening shows, from John Gibson to Brit Hume.

Wolfman on March 30, 2007 at 8:19 AM

Hannity and Colmes almost as trite as the View in my view. Neither one is on an intellectual plane much above that of Rosie. Colmes is just a left wing waste of food. Hannity is a right wing chatter box — nothing more then a cheer leader. “Great American” is getting a bit old. I would watch a Malkin & Power show not just for the eye candy….

jimwesty on March 30, 2007 at 9:59 AM

I would watch a Malkin & Power show not just for the eye candy….

Me too. I really think the two of them would carry more intellectual firepower than just about anyone else on TV. And what I think would probably be even more interesting is the fact that, OK, for the first two weeks you’d have everyone talking about how hot they are, but after that, I bet you’d pretty much have everyone just talking about what they said.

But to take a step back for a second… one of the reasons I pretty much stopped watching commentary shows is that it seems like all the networks go out of their way to find personalities who are completely superficial. Basically, you just have a couple of hairdos chanting talking points at each other. I would love to see a show where people really engaged. That feeling of engagement is what I think is really missing from “media politics”, and is one of the reasons I read blogs.

What are you referring to? Insanity is trutherism. I thought that was -plainly- obvious from my comments.

lorien1973 on March 30, 2007 at 10:42 AM

Rosie must stay on The View. She has not finished making total fools of her fellow liberal chicks and the Left in total. Rosie is a gift to conservatives. She should be mandatory viewing to illustrate just how dumb the liberals are. We’re talking the IQ of gravel here, folks. I say, keep her talking on the View until she reveals how Bush shot Kennedy and where Bush buried Jimmy Hoffa. If we can only show what lefties like Rosie really think, we can make it embarassing to be called a liberal.

Tantor on March 30, 2007 at 11:09 AM

Part of O’Reilly last night, talking about Rosie, very lengthy segment (almost as long as the one condemning lesbian kissing–I am not making this up–with the absolutely journalist imperative of 20 seconds of said kissing) But I digress:

O’R is talking about what a world class clown Rosie is and one of his guests is a guy named Bernie Goldberg (I think, wrote a book The 100 People Who are Ruining America) who is in high dungeon about Rosie. He wraps up his comments saying that she is particularly dangerous because (wait for it..) her audience is “very unsophisticated”. Oh really, all those stay at home Moms, yeah you’re right Bernie.

O’R couldn’t pull away from him fast enough.

lorien1973 on March 29, 2007 at 11:20 PM

Thank you lorien, that does put things into perspective and expresses my thought and sentiments better than I ever could.

Liberals always try to equate every human action as equivalent to all other human actions )for example; the believe that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter) in an attempt to remove the very concept of difference, the idea that not everything is equal and that there are separate individual qualities that can not be equally compared. The modern liberals believe that only when mode of behavior is treated as equal to all other modes of behavior will we have peace and justice in the world. How can we have peace when it is considered equally moral for someone to rob, threaten, and harm others as it is to risk life and limb protecting others from harm? How can there be justice when criminal behavior is equal to heroic behavior, when we treat the “poor” man that steals my identity to defraud me of money the same way we treat the man that runs into a burning building to save my child from incineration? It doesn’t make any sense.

The liberals want everyone and everything to be equal but this impossible as we can only be truly equal when we are all dead. The world is not equal, life is not fair, the strong displace the weak. That’s how the real world works and we can only ignore this basic truth at our own peril.

Thank you lorien1973, I hadn’t seen that speech by Evan. It was awesome and put into words what I and most of us conservatives believe. Gave us some “ammo”, for sure. Well worth the view time.

Kirstin is, by my standards, a drop-dead-gorgeous, um, girl (she’s major years younger than I am). Yes, too bad she’s liberal. Maybe time, and enough exposure to critical thinking that Evan Sayet talked about, her “head” may come around to truth. That would make her absolutely gorgeous: beauty and right-thinking brains. Right up there with Michelle, “The Boss”…time may be on our side guys…always hope.

I don’t listen much to Sean, he gets tiresome to listen to. His arguements are right, but too often it gets, just, well, tiresome to listen to. Don’t know how to say it differently. Especially with his recent, alleged, treatment of Debbie Schussel, using, but not crediting her work exposing Islam’s lies.
