I also think the Democrat Party is partially responsible for the chaos. For nearly 50 years the Democrats have been a reliable "fifth column" for our enemies. I sure they are proud of themselves.

See, we telegraphed our intentions long before the so-called "surge". All the politicians with their huffing and puffing, diseminating intentions and targets on our news channels and in our newspapers like fools. So, the enemy simply hunkered down in their little hidey holes, ate, drank, and be merry, until the "surge" surged on by. Then they left their hidey holes and dug out their weapons and went back to business as usual... 'cause they knew everything they needed to know to avoid the suuuurge!

billy...... "entertainment", the "hook"...... priceless... can I ask a question?

"Have you been in Iraq? It's a fairly large country for the region, not all parts are in a "civil war" (Kurds) for what your MSM would tell you, if fact, only a small portion, and most of the violence is due to the support of Iran...."

"Iran", yes, declared "War" on the United States of Amercia and it's allies back in 1978, and has funded, provided training, security, and intelligence to this day..... "but you, billy, think there is nothing wrong with that..."

"Europe"........ by all means, billy, here is your "one way ticket", get the fork out if think you would be better off, please......

Comes down to it, billy, I tried to be nice, but your an idiot, plane and simple.

Yea, yea perfect world. I don't think at this point in time the party committees are doing any better job than the old boss system did in choosing candidates.

I think you're right, Newt does seem to express his personal wisdom quite well lately.
I would though like to see him with a greater ability to effect actual change, whatever position that would be.
I'm just shy (as I'm sure a lot of us are) of the bait and switch politicians that we have tolerated for far too many years now.
If the RNC did their job we should have candidates to stand up and cheer for.

I hear ya, I just think another office would ruin him. Relieved of the office, he has the freedom to express his inner beliefs so clearly. Tied to an office, he is then also tied to the politics which run that office, thereby constraining and even diminishing the freedom of thought so clearly expressed in the quote you provided above. I'm convinced he is more valuable as a "free agent" (for lack of a better descriptive) in that he can talk about his true beliefs without any fear of political consequence.

Newt by far has the best gray matter in politics.
He also knows how the machine works, he doesn't need a learning curve, he can step in make adjustments and those who would, aren't about to get away with guile and deceit.

In my mind I want to know, would he be true to the citizens will, truly defend the Constitution or would he roll for the big/international bankers and Corp. currency loyalists?

I'm starting like the idea of a Thompson-Gingrich White house team.
Thompson lends the perception of morals and character to the mix and Gingrich adds the brute brains and horsepower.

This pattern looks all too familiar. As others have jokingly noted, you can tell the war is going well when the MSM ignores it. So i really think these attacks are more for the propaganda value than anything else. The enemy knows the MSM is on their side and these attacks are there to give the media some propaganda to work with against us.

“Why now?”

georgej on March 29, 2007 at 10:47 PM

Sorry, no jokes today...

The recent vote for a time line to withdrawl the troops of the United States of America fighting the war against those who want to kill us all, by the Democratic controlled Congress of the United States of America.

Plain and simple. The Democrats "own" defeat, and will not be happy until millions die and the terrorist are trained by Iranians, supplied by China and Russia, and start walking into an elementary school near you, seperating your childs head from his/her body, all the time having and Islamic orgasim over our defeat.

Yes Democratic party, your sucess is being celebrated, and this is just the start. You have no one else to blame but yourselves........ maybe, just maybe, those who stayed home last time out when it was time to vote, might look at this and say, "hey, wait a minute......"

Alan Colmes, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, et al........ the faces that launched a thousand homicide bombers..... and Rosie is their mouth piece.

The Democrats “own” defeat, and will not be happy until millions die and the terrorist are trained by Iranians, supplied by China and Russia, and start walking into an elementary school near you, seperating your childs head from his/her body, all the time having and Islamic orgasim over our defeat.

Yes Democratic party, your sucess is being celebrated, and this is just the start. You have no one else to blame but yourselves…….. maybe, just maybe, those who stayed home last time out when it was time to vote, might look at this and say, “hey, wait a minute……”

Alan Colmes, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, et al…….. the faces that launched a thousand homicide bombers….. and Rosie is their mouth piece.

The state of affairs of today………….

In the back of my head, I hope Gingrich doesn't run for office because he's far too valuable on the speaking, book signing, and talk show circuits. A presidency would rob the U.S. and the world of a consistent, intelligent, conservative voice it desperately needs to hear.

“There is a word for people who put children in a car to be blown up. The word is evil... It’s important that we say this out loud and that we render this moral judgment. Because if we fail to understand that our enemy is evil, we have failed to understand what we are fighting.” —Newt Gingrich

"Why now?"

This looks like it is their last gasp.

I think that they're placing it all on the line in "do or die." If they do not prevail, here, now, then Al Qaeda is finished.

I think that we are very, very close to killing the snake.

This quote of their strategy (from the link) is very interesting:

Al Qaeda, which is facing a significant threat from Iraq's Sunni nationalist and Islamist militant groups, is trying to achieve three goals: First, to maintain its parallel power structure in the Sunni areas; second, to emerge as the vanguard of the Sunni resistance to the United States and the Shiite-dominated Iraqi government at a time when Sunni political leaders are cutting deals; and finally, to embarrass the Iraqi Islamist militant groups by arguing that they are not following true Islamic teachings.

This is a broad and far-reaching strategy. Also, very well thought out. However, does anyone really believe AQ (from what we're told) has the resources to pull this off? By the day, Iraqi's are putting their own money into rebuilding efforts, are giving up insurgents in their midst, and are joining the police force to fight lawlessness (even if their tactics can be described as questionable). Of course, if we cut funding to our military efforts there and bring our troops home, AQ's strategy becomes so much easier.
