Roggio put out an APB about him two weeks ago: The “many Taliban who have been preparing for Musharraf’s ouster” in Islamabad include Ghazi Abdul Rasheed and Maulana Abdul Aziz, the leaders of the Lal Masjid, or Red Mosque, in Islamabad. Rasheed and Aziz are the “leading ideologues of the Pakistani Taliban” and are “wanted by Pakistan’s interior ministry.” [...]

If we lose Musharraf, the GWOIT (Global War on Islamist Terror) is about to get a whole lot uglier.

I don’t know, Jen. Might make things better in the long run. Bin Laden is consistently being located in Pak, and the one person keeping us from going in has been Musharraf because of his cooperation with us. If the naton goes fundamentalist, and the average American still believes bin Laden is in Pak, then the Prez would have our support for engaging the Pakistanis who are hiding bin Laden and may evens be able to take out the nuke program as well.

What is wrong with you people? Have you never seen a Charles Bronson movie called, “Death Wish”?

Is prostitution illegal in Islamabad? Then the women may have an argument in defense of their actions; an illegal business was staying in business due to corrupt politicians. Imagine in this country if some Christians raided a crack house that everyone knew was there and was protected by corrupt politicians and performed “citizens arrests” on the dealers and protecting the children in the crack house. I, for one, would applaud their actions. I would hope many people here would as well.

The question is; is prostitution legal in Islamabad? Is this madam protected by corrupt politicians? If so, then I am not particularly alarmed by their action, and I don’t (in this case) care what their religion is.

I just think that the Muslim women are jealous that the prostitutes are treated more like women than they are. After all, when you are treated like cattle, you are going to lash out at someone….

So women should be treated like prostitutes? I can see the bumper sticker now, “Real women do it for money.”

Iran is capturing an allies sailors and putting them on jihad TV. We don’t have the stones to go over there and MAKE them release them. Hell, we’re giving the Iraq terrorists a date to hold out until; there is no way in hell this spineless, feckless bunch of turdballs we have in charge are going to do one damn thing should Musharraf fall. Hold a press conference, blame President Bush, shrug regretfully, and go back to fun and games with US attorneys. Foreign policy now is reciting peace movement bumper stickers on the floor of the House and Senate. We’ve gone from superpower to superpu..puddy tat. I agree with you..but I think we’re in for disappointment. Mushy seems to be a survivor. Let’s hope he can hold on.

Candy and Jen got it right, if we lose Mushy,There’d be a civil war and we’d have a whole ‘nother Talibanistan to deal with, only this time they’d have nukes. The Air Force would hafta bomb their nukes OR the Spec Ops would hafa go in and secure, disable and remove them.

Viper’s got the right idea. Mushy oughta do this BEFORE he gets taken out.

Hey, this is really simple. Someone just needs to tell those burka-babes about the root causes that led those women into prostitution, and then they’ll all get an irresistable urge to buy NPR coffee mugs and everything will be fine.

Probably to overthrow Musharraf. Very interesting story. When radicals start taking the law into their own hands, can anarchy be far behind? If Musharraf can’t put these people down quickly then they only become more emboldened. It’s not surprising they would target a brothel, but I still can’t get my head around Islamic “feminists” in strong support of fundamentalist law. It doesn’t make sense to me.

“Islamic justice”? That’s an oxymoron. So now the women are gonna stone women in the public square? We need women to fight AGAINST islamic extremism, not for it. These women probably raise their kids to be martyrs too. This is a step backwards. Not that prostitution is to be defended or anything.
