I bet Rosie was the first to place an order for this T. She probably had to special order seeing that XXL was the largest they sold.

Sick!...just plain sick. Savage is right, "Liberalism IS a mental disorder".

Well I hate to go out on a limb, but as funny diseases go, cancer isn't in the top 1000.

Leprosy, Tourette's, narcolepsy, pripism....

Anything for a buck I guess. Awful.

Who grows these kind of people?

Limerick on March 28, 2007 at 1:46 PM

Answer: People with no morals who have taken positions as schoolteachers, legislators, and ACLU lawyers. When there is no right or wrong, and all truth is subjective, what is wrong with laughing about someone you don't like getting cancer? These oh so tolerant people must justify their moral void by passing it on to the next generation.

Oh and if you were asking between Clinton and Obama. Clinton might better represent my interest though the thought of her and Bill for another 8 years makes me depressed. I can't find anything significant about Obama's accomplisments and don't understand why he's suddenly all that and a bag of chips???

Bradky I'm hoping that Newt Gingrich runs. All the Republicans have somewhat the same baggage so I would go with Newt because he won't be bowed over, bullied and seems to be the most well rounded politically (foreign and domestically).

Here is the link to Eliot Stein’s website where he justifies his own inexcusable actions.

I thought when I read the original Fox article about this that this buffoon is really full of himself.

Looking at his web site just confirms it.

CCRW: No and Slublog: I don’t expect to see anyone of prominence reel them in. And I understand your “indifferent” answer but realistically in 2008 your choices are probably going to come down to a Republican and either Clinton or Obama. Who most closely represents your interests?

Recall that in 92 Perot played the independent role and played a large part in Clinton’s election win. Were the 8 years of him satisfactory to you?

Bradky on March 28, 2007 at 8:28 PM

I'd would argue that the number of outright traitors and those who would cheer them on is a bit larger than your estimated 15%, but that's just my opinion. I honestly have no idea how a real number could be acertained. While the radical left may be a minority in the democratic party, they are a very vocal and apparently powerful minority that seems to demonstrably have firm control and influence over the party. Just look at the voting record of the dems in the House and Senate.

I've read, stepped back, and thought about your posts above, and I owe you an appology for my earlier comment lumping you in with radical leftists. I have not changed my opinion about them, but your posts have caused me to change my opinion about you. I spoke too hastily.

Oh, and no - I wasn't a big Clinton fan. I did have hope at first, but he managed to squander or ignore most of the big problems that he had the political capital to solve.

Giuliani - widely regarded as a centrist/liberal Republican - best represents my interests. What exactly does this have to do with the issue at hand?

Can you point me to or quote any conservative celebrities who have used the profanity laden, hate filled and traitorous speech liberal celebrities have?

I have yet to see a Democrat or a prominent liberal decry the verbal excesses of Kos or someone like Michael Moore.

Of course not and I don’t believe that I implied that in any fashion. I take it your answers to my questions were no and yes respectively.

Actually they would be "no" and "indifferent." While I trend Republican because I'm a conservative, I vote based on issues, not on party affiliation. As for speaking out against their own members, conservatives often offer strong criticism for stupid things said by their ideological bretheren - Coulter, Limbaugh, Lott, DeLay, Armey and Atwater have all been targets of criticism by people in their own party.

I sent a decently worded email (I agree with crosspatch about not getting in the mud with this person). I feel much better.

All the techie stuff I don't get but it seems to mean something to most of you. I hope it's something good.

Bradky: It's not only the blogs that are nasty and vicious. It's what is coming out of the Hollywood types and the Democratic leadership. Just so you don't think I live under a conservative rock, one of my good friends and she is gay, told me that the worst thing that in her opinion happened to lesbians is the L Word on Showtime. I'm pretty sure she said that it's not only vulgar but attacks conservatives pretty regularly, viciously and with a tone of moral superiority. The hypocrisy is that she says they engage in behavior that is pornographic and use language that is so vulgar that she and other lesbians she knows are offended! So I guess I'm also indirectly agreeing with you in that she is more liberal and a Democrat but she doesn't like that type of hate filled speech. Unfortunately, these aren't the Democrats who are being given the microphone. Can you point me to or quote any conservative celebrities who have used the profanity laden, hate filled and traitorous speech liberal celebrities have?

So are you saying that because some conservatives use the word traitors it’s okay for liberals to wish death upon those with whom they disagree?

Slublog on March 28, 2007 at 7:15 PM

Of course not and I don't believe that I implied that in any fashion. I take it your answers to my questions were no and yes respectively.
As I mentioned, I am interested in results and the strategy to get there. The more that Republicans at large act mature and speak out to its own members to discourage the use of blanket terms, the better chance of appealing to the moderates. Why were the Democrats been in the wilderness for 12 years in the house? I think partly because the vocal minority turned enough voters off that they couldn't pull the D lever. Last year followed an historical trend for two term presidents - and to be fair the elected Republican representatives did little to show themselves as a better option.
And as a side note did you catch Griz's comment?

Why not kill ‘em and get it over with. Civil war is just what this country needs ‘to clear the air’ so to speak. I could use the exercise.

I believe that between 15% and 25% of people who call themselves “Democrats” hate George W. Bush so much that they are willing to see AMERICA fail in Iraq if it brings down Bush. I believe that for these people, whatever the percentage actually is, getting Bush is more important that winning the war in Iraq. So, yes, I classify these people as traitors

I believe that the leadership of the Demcratic Party has been sabotaging the war to further the partisan goals of the party. So, I definately classify them as traitors.

Happy?

I am glad you expressed this as an opinion. I disagree with any numbers over 15%. But that is my opinion as well. The question for you is "Which group do you have the best chance of convincing that the Republicans better represent their interests; the "15-25%" or the moderate Democrats? If you think moderates is the one, do you think throwing out terms like Democrats are traitors is going to convince them?
It is about the desired results.

If your answer is no to the first and yes to the second question, then I submit the opinion that to roll in the mud drives away the moderate Democrats. If you want them to step out of their comfort zone of what they usually vote, I don’t think painting all Democrats as traitors or the like will be a successful strategy. While neither of you have painted with this broad brush I think you have seen many on the right who have. These comments are regularly reposted in leftie sites by the “fringe” elements to paint Republicans as this big monolithic intolerant party.

Ah, I see I misread the first part of your post.

1) Do you honestly believe that the majority of Democrats (not the elected officials but fellow citizens like us) are of this ilk, are traitors, and want to see the country fall?

When did I ever use the word "traitors?"

I believe that the majority of active Democrat partisans that are the most vocal are that way. Look how Pelosi has bent over backwards. Look what they did to Lieberman who they were running for VP not so long ago. The nuts have a lot of influence in the Democratic party, and it shows.

Rick on March 28, 2007 at 4:09 PM

You both seem to misunderstand my point. So let's start with what we agree on:
(1)The t-shirt thing was way over the top and tasteless
(2)There are more bombastic leftie websites with really off the wall things than there are on the right

Now my two questions for you are:

(1) Do you honestly believe that the majority of Democrats (not the elected officials but fellow citizens like us) are of this ilk, are traitors, and want to see the country fall?
(2) Do you want the Republicans to win the White House and majority in one or both houses in the next election?

If your answer is yes to the first question, then it is pointless to debate any further.
If your answer is no to the first and yes to the second question, then I submit the opinion that to roll in the mud drives away the moderate Democrats. If you want them to step out of their comfort zone of what they usually vote, I don't think painting all Democrats as traitors or the like will be a successful strategy. While neither of you have painted with this broad brush I think you have seen many on the right who have. These comments are regularly reposted in leftie sites by the "fringe" elements to paint Republicans as this big monolithic intolerant party.
