Video: Behar earns her dunce cap

Joy Behar’s Bush-bashing blew up in her perpetually pinched face (though neither Howard Stern’s fiance, nor poor Elisabeth, nor anyone else on “The View” set thought to point it out). Actor John Lithgow, a graduate of Harvard, appeared on Tuesday’s show to discuss politics and his latest children’s book. Behar seized on Lithgow’s educational pedigree, coyly wondering whether his Ivy League school was tougher than another:

JOY BEHAR: Was it harder to get into Harvard than Yale? Because Bush went to Yale!

[laughter]

BEHAR: I never lose an opportunity.

JOHN LITHGOW: I rest my case.

Um, Behar should check the biographies of some of her liberal friends.

Former President Bill Clinton and current Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton: Yale Law.

John Kerry: Lackluster at Yale.

Howard Dean: Yale.

Just sayin’.

Apropos of nothing: What on earth is Elisabeth wearing? Rosie’s curtains?

Blowback

In two years they will have nothing, nada, zip, bupkiss, zilch.
What are they going to do when they have to actually think?

bbz123 on March 27, 2007 at 11:17 PM

Actually, Bush completed degrees at both. An undergraduate degree in History at Yale, and a MBA at Harvard Business School. He then went on to serve two terms as the President of United States.

Now, who’s this Behar moron?

phile on March 27, 2007 at 11:22 PM

phil, I hope I’m not answering a rhetorical question, but this Behar Moron was a very unfunny “comedienne” and got a gig on the eternally vapid show “The View”, a roundtable chat show made up of left wing wackos except for elisabeth Hasselbeck, and the only right leaning person is totally overwhelmed, and not great at articulating conservatism to begin with.

Bad Candy on March 27, 2007 at 11:26 PM

I do not think it would matter if this show used a laugh track or not because these morons laugh whether something is funny or not.

EnochCain on March 27, 2007 at 11:27 PM

The show also has Rosie O’Donnell. Allah loves the show for the crazy leftism and general brainlessness of the show, and loves to post clips of the latest in sweet sweet moonbattery. Though sometimes Ian or Bryan will post things.

I’m assuming you’re new here.

Self imposed lobotomy will do that to you.

Bad Candy on March 27, 2007 at 11:30 PM

Behag earned her dunce cap years ago. Today, she’s either working on the tin foil hat, or the paper hat commonly seen at various fast food chains – where she’ll be before long if The Spew continues this boorish trend.

EnochCain on March 27, 2007 at 11:27 PM

It shows the level of intelligence too… because not only was it not funny, all these top Dems Ian listed would be victims of her joke too (obviously she’s unaware, or recognizes the stupidity of their audience), in addition to the fact that Bush also went the Harvard Business School.

RightWinged on March 27, 2007 at 11:33 PM

Her mouth and brain might not work but she is a great piece of eye candy.

Limerick on March 27, 2007 at 11:36 PM

Heh. Yes, Bad Candy, it was definitely a rhetorical question. Unfortunately, I’m well versed in the idiocy that spews from the mouth of Behag (nice one thedecider), every time she opens it.

Limerick, had that happen a week ago. The right column wouldn’t show up, just the left column.

I dunno, I’m sure if Bryan has never done a View link he’ll adamantly say so tomorrow. Later!

I don’t think so, but who knows, maybe he has a thing for Rosie like AP and Ian do. Ian will probably answer this question – or Bryan will pop in and answer it himself. If all three are View junkies, we need to have a sit-down with Michelle.

Excellent……. let me suggest a senario…… you, President Bush, Rosie, and Behar are on a plane… the pilot gets sick and can not fly……… who would you trust to land the plane?

PinkyBigglesworth on March 28, 2007 at 12:25 AM

Joy Behar was way off on her attempt at humor.

George W. Bush attended BOTH Yale University AND Harvard University.

John Lithgow, you rest your case?

What are you going to say, not that you learned that George W. Bush attended BOTH Yale and Harvard Universities, and that George W. Bush actually earned degrees from both Universities?

George W. Bush did not earn his degree in something mundane, such as Education or Acting, Sociology, or even “Dance.”

George W. Bush attended Yale University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history

George W. Bush attended Graduate School at Harvard University, where he earned his Masters of Business Administration degree.

Regarding those arrogant idiots who try to diminish George W. Bush’s accomplishment by claiming he earned a “C,” many who complain never even earned a degree, are not as smart as President Bush, and have never accomplished 1/100th of his accomplishments.

Furthermore, to take a sample from a medical school joke, “What do you call a student who graduates last in his class in medical school, and earns his MD?”

Answer: “Doctor.”

Whether George W. Bush is first in his class, tenth in his class, or last in his class, he earned his degree, and he IS an MBA.

Does Joy Behar have a degree in History?

George W. Bush has a degree in History.

Does Joy Behar have a Masters Degree in Business – an MBA?

George W. Bush earned an MBA.

He is also the only president in US History who is an MBA.

Well, Joy, what is YOUR claim to fame?

Let us look at Joy Behar’s educational background.

According to Wilkipedia’s listing as of today, 03/28/07,

Behar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Queens College. She is a former New York City teacher at Lindenhurst High School on Long Island with a Master of Arts degree in English Education from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

According to ABC Television’s “The View” web page,

Armed with an MA in English education from SUNY at Stony Brook, Ms. Behar originally began a career in teaching. She then set out to pursue comedy professionally and immediately received bookings from such famous New York clubs as Caroline’s and Catch a Rising Star. She went on to win three MAC Awards and a CableACE Award.

If George W. Bush’s education and degrees is not enough, there is more.

George W. Bush earned his wings as a Texas National Guard Pilot, flying F-102 fighter jets. Does Joy Bihar have a pilot’s license? Has Joy Behar even piloted an aircraft?

George W. Bush was owner or an oil and gas business.

Has Joy Behar owned an oil and gas business? Which business of any kind has she owned?

George W. Bush was managing partner of the Texas Rangers Baseball team. Has Joy “Smart Alec” Behar even owned a professional baseball team, or owned any business whatsoever?

What kind of business has she owned?

George W. Bush was Governor of Texas. He was elected to that position, then reelected to that same position.

Has Joy Behar ever held a position in government that she was elected to, more than once?

George W. Bush is President of the United States. He earned that position twice, he was elected by the people to that position, the second election he earned more votes than any president in US History.

Has Joy Behar ever come even close to such accomplishments?

Me thinks Joy Behar doth protest too much!

Can anyone say “Jealousy?”

Can anyone say “Feelings of inadequacy?”

Can anyone say “Inferiority Complex?

Can anyone say “arrogant, nasty, adolescent behavior?”

Joy,

Your comments about George W. Bush do not come off as humorous, but only arrogant, rude, condescending, and idiotic.

Please show some respect for not only the President of the United States, but the citizens of the US who actually love this country and who find your comments insulting.

thedecider on March 28, 2007 at 12:50 AM

Excellent……. let me suggest a senario…… you, President Bush, Rosie, and Behar are on a plane… the pilot gets sick and can not fly……… who would you trust to land the plane?

I’m afraid the Spew crew considers “flying planes” to be a mundane skill at best. A true test of intelligence is the ability to cackle and wallow in blissful ignorance.

This also leads to another scenario. The plane makes an emergency landing on an uncharted island. The cannibals who populate the island demand that you offer up one – and only one – member of your party to appease the volcanoe god. Keep in mind that the only food you have to eat is a crate full of Spagettio’s that was on the plane(and you don’t have a can opener), so you must keep any person who is willing and capable of ripping the cans open with their teeth to get to the food.

ACTING!

BRILLIANT!

The Ugly American on March 28, 2007 at 1:04 AM

It’s easy to complain, but the fact is that it’s the complacency and passivity of conservatives in the arts/entertainment/journalism that has led to the domination of things like The View in the culture, instead of non-Left leaning shows that are both entertaining and rational (of which there are nearly none). In culture, “cool” is king, and for decades we’ve let the Left define what that means. It’s not their fault – they’re simply taking advantage of our abdication.

On the one hand, Rosie would do it. But on the other, would you ever get any Spaghettio’s back from her? Then there’s a third question: If you were a volcano god, and someone gave you Rosie, would you be appeased?

That’s quite the conundrum you’ve built there, Coyote.

Pablo on March 28, 2007 at 1:31 AM

Coyote D. on March 28, 2007 at 12:53 AM

I’ll bite..

I give up Rosie for food initially explaing to the natives that this is our custom, she would be wasted in the volcano, and if they protested, I would let her speak for a day, a week, a month…… enough food to feed the populous of the Island for a year……. after that, I can use Behar’s teeth to open up the cans of Spagettio’s while teaching Capitalism, Defense, the history of the Magna Carta, the Federalist Papers, and the Constitution of the United States.

By years end, Millionairs all over the world are charting their yachts to our Island, since we built our own resort, started our own business, and are providing for ourselves….

PinkyBigglesworth on March 28, 2007 at 1:35 AM

Five dummies sharing a couch. None, not one knew that Mr. Bush went to both. I know a few of you covered it – this was the first thing that came to mind. They’re all laughing insanely, not knowing the joke’s on them. That ‘conservative’ lady is pretty dumb too, and yes, what a ‘dresser’…

The name “Behag” is absolutely correct. This poor excuse for a human being should know better (hell, she’s been around long enough), yet she seizes any opportunity to make any vapid, screeching, inane leftist “progressive” (hah!) point that jumps into her tiny, Rosie-flattened, BDS mind.

Can you imagine this HORROR teaching your kids? It would have nothing to do with education; it would be more like re-education (i.e. brainwashing). The sad thing is that this is happening every day to our young’uns. God save us.

NEA is truly dangerous

hillbillyjim on March 28, 2007 at 4:06 AM

Exit Question: Why do leftist idioti insist on the misnomer: progressive? It is clear that they all want to REGRESS back to their so-called “Glory Days” of the late 60’s-early 70’s.

All of their politics/policies have been, to one degree or another, tried and miserably failed.

So why the “progressive” lie?

hillbillyjim on March 28, 2007 at 4:17 AM

Like I said yesterday, I watched The View in the dentist’s waiting room while my wife was literally having a root canal and was thus spared my pain.

Behar’s making jokes about Bush’s intelligence while sitting on the couch with super-special guest co-host, Howard Stern’s Fiancee. Who seems as intelligent as you’d expect of one who agreed to marry Howard Stern.

Oh my God was that agonizing.

I don’t get your obsession with HA’s obession with The View. Nah, just kidding.

I do admit to being “View-curious” for at least three reasons:

1. You can get away on a broadcast network with saying what would be “hate speech” if a conservative said it. Rummy is Hitler ching chong ching chong.
2. As Barbara Walters’ mutant offspring, the show is an extention of ABC News whether they admit it or not.
3. They possess some sort of hypnosis-inducing applause sign that could really come in handy if we knew its secrets.

saint kansas on March 28, 2007 at 9:11 AM

I’ll stomach the View for a few minutes if I’m home and flipping through channels to see what Elisabeth looks like and to see what incredibly stupid things are being said. I blame HotAir for that.

That said, they had a great tip yesterday. Toothpaste and water will remove water stains from a wood table. It worked like a charm.

The creepiest clip EVER was when they were interviewing 14 year old Miley Cyrus from Disney’s Hannah Montana. In the last half minute of the clip, they end up talking about Britney; Rosie comments TWICE how she’ll keep checking to make sure Miley continues to wear underwear each and every day. Sexuality aside, WHO says that to any 14 year old girl?

sdd on March 28, 2007 at 10:33 AM

I have to remind the loony left; stupid people don’t become fighter pilots. Flying for the US military, even if it’s the National Guard, is a lot more involved than what is required to get a civilian pilot’s license. You must pass a military flight school, and that is not easy. I use to serve in Army Aviation and know a little about this. One of the requirements is understanding flight theory, and that is not a light subject! Can you say physics? Just how may people could pass flight theory class? I know several college grads who failed.

People love to portray Bush as stupid, but that’s because they don’t like the idea that their enemy (and what else is Bush to liberals?) is a lot smarter than they are. Any idiot can be on TV, but only the best and brightest can be fighter pilots.

RedinBlueCounty on March 28, 2007 at 10:38 AM

I know. The irony. They play dress-up and tell bad jokes for a living. He not only went to Yale and Harvard and can fly a fighter jet, but he runs the world pretty much, (and if you want to argue that then just ask all of his protestors all over the world,) won 2 presidential elections and “tricked” those extremely intelligent Democrats into voting for “his” war on Iraq. So if he’s stupid what does that make them? *ahem*

foxforce91 on March 28, 2007 at 10:53 AM

WHY do you watch this stupid show? I’d rather have my eyeballs scrubbed with medium sandpaper and doused with gasoline than listen to Rosie O and Joy “The dunce” Behar talk about anything

Wowwwwwwwwwwwww! 72 million traitors – how do you propose making enough jail space for all of them? Or do we follow the Chinese model and have their families pay for the bullet?

Hmmm, communist/liberal China. Are you insulting one of your own (liberal/socialist/communist)? What’s next, negative remarks about Fidel and Hugo?

Actually it would seem one of “your’s” is doing a pretty good impression of them already – doesn’t need my assistance at all.

Bradky, click here to see how well behaved your side is. And please, feel free to comment, being that the HA liberal commenters tend to avoid these threads like the plague.

Rick,
Already saw it. Couple of things I did note (1) It seems that the site registered through a European agency (2) Nothing that I could find through lookups would indicated that it is (a) necessarily run by Democrats (b) agreed with by all 72 million registered democrats in the US or (c) sanctioned by any official Democrat organizations

David Duke is a cancer that the Republicans disowned but he is still registered as a Republican — doesn’t justify painting all Republicans with the racist brush any more than what is being said about Democrats by some in the thread you referenced and in NRA’s comments above.

Why should Democrats at large expect any less than similar consideration?
