Something is funny because there is truth in it. The truth in this bit is that a lot of American executives are overpaid and they live extravagent lives. Comedy also can be mean. For example, the wife refuses to work which is a knock on lazy trophy wives.

Want the conservative version of this bit? Have a black politician talking about there is no immigration problem, then show a line of blacks waiting in an unemployment line as a truck full of Mexican workers drives by. The next scene is a sleezy boss talking about how illegal workers are willing to do anything for their bosses. Blacks ask for extravagences like toilets and wages.

AP is right, this bit had a much higher production value that THHNH and the level of writing was much better. Truth is, I expect the people doing the THHNH will tighten up their production now that they have a commitment from the network. I hope so because I would hate to be embarrassed to watch conservative humor in the future.

Onion News Network Immigration Expose...

Here’s a hard-hitting report from the new Onion News Network.

That poor ex-Lucent exec. I’m so mad I look like Lou Dobbs.

Reconsideration - just reporting on Gore's reality is parody in and by itself. No need for the Onion.

"...living in the summer house year round", and
"I refuse to work"

I love the way the female reporter calls the Mexican 'executive' Mr. Fewentes (Fuentes).

Scrappleface and the Onion are endless sources for endorphins release.

Note to the Onion - parody Gore - need at least 10 in the series...and then he keeps on giving, and giving, and giving...

Damn…I was hoping for T. Herman Zweibel.

Heh. The Onion's "Our Dumb Century" is one of the funniest books ever written. The landing on the moon story made me cry with laughter the first time I read it.

How long before the inevitable happens… A commenter comes and is shocked at this story, forcing Allah to make a note that The Onion is a parody site?

(not mocking those who we've seen do that here before, as I've been guilty of it in the past.. though just not "getting it" at first. It's much more hilarious when someone comes on here and rants and raves about a fake news story)

Creating eh? Creating links, from the looks of it. Marketing is harder than dropping links into comments…..well good marketing is.
TBinSTL on March 26, 2007 at 9:01 PM

Yep, all the writing, performing, animating, editing, producing, encoding, and distributing every week on a six day production schedule turnaround for those videos I did was just "links" to you--you who have no website or blog or anything to speak of but can easily and anonymously pass judgment.

You're worse than a liberal because at least a liberal has no hesitation about creating their own content. Conservatives are quickly becoming the ones that can only whine about their oppression at the media monopoly of Those Darn Liberals(tm).

There ain't no monopoly, thanks to the Internet. Michelle, Bryan, AP, Ian, and MKH have proved it daily here on HotAir.com!

We can make a difference if we stop bitching and start fighting back!

The Onion probably didn't intend this, but as a resident of Dallas, i can say from first hand experience that this is much closer to reality than parody. One small anecdote- I went to the mall last weekend and i would estimate that 75% of the people there were hispanic. There is a fairly large part of Dallas (east) that is known as little Mexico and you would have to look very hard to find a white kid in any of Dallas's public schools, they're majority hispanic. I could go on, but you probably get the point.

Would have been funnier if the illegal guy had been willing to do the executive job for $10.50 an hour, instead of $600,000, and if the key growth sector he identified for Lucent was selling bags of oranges on the street corner.

But I guess that would have been a little too edgy.

Onion news? Cause it stinks and makes you cry, right?

I guess those Bush tax cuts for the rich caused the whole thing.

Those words were written thousands of years ago…

Frankly, that was the high point for me. All in all not bad though. Always liked The Onion, and even better that it is sponsered by my favorite everyday scotch.

Sad to say, those words will probably zoom right by a lot of viewers. It's amazing how many people seem to think those words are part of our Founding Documents.

Sad to say, those words will probably zoom right by a lot of viewers. It’s amazing how many people seem to think those words are part of our Founding Documents.

Those words were written thousands of years ago...

Frankly, that was the high point for me. All in all not bad though. Always liked The Onion, and even better that it is sponsered by my favorite everyday scotch.

Here's my pre-emptive strike:

Do NOT complain about how Those Darn Liberals(tm) have created yet another way to indoctrinate the masses and how conservatives just can't get a break in the media...

...this is your own fault for supporting the host of "liberal" shows and websites rather than doing what Michelle Malkin did: She made an investment of her own money, talent, time, and effort and CREATED HER OWN CONTENT.

That's why we're all here--in relatively small numbers.

Tired of all Those Darn Liberals(tm) on TV and teh Internets? Answer's pretty simple: Find the money and buy your own network.

Aren't conservatives are supposed to be rich? Why is this so difficult for them to invest in businesses such as HotAir?
