Video: Michelle talks immigration and Anna Nicole on O’Reilly
posted at 9:35 pm on March 26, 2007 by Allahpundit
Two depressing subjects, neither one of which is taken very seriously by the public. The immigration chitchat is perfunctory but painless: the boss laments the impending piecemeal amnesty, KP hems and haws, and Bill proposes a special three-person bipartisan task force to solve the problem once and for all. Things soon turn serious when O’R makes a hard segue into the story of the day and initiates a de facto staring contest with his two lovely guests to see who can muster the least sympathy for the deceased. The bleeding heart drops out quickly, leaving Bill eyeball to eyeball with our own steel magnolia.
Advantage: Malkin.
You know who could draft an immigration compromise and take a hardline on Anna Nicole?

Deadslutmania. More gratifying than looking for a corpse in Aruba?

Bill is a teddy bear… and he enjoys playing Michelle off the middle.
Michelle isn’t mean, she just has bigger billiards than O’Rielly.

Haha! Allah put that POWERS clip in there!

Call me a bleeding heart. Kirsten had a great point that ANS was worth sympathy – if for nothing else – in that she could find no true happiness and was obviously a profoundly depressed woman to dive so deep into self-gratification and drug abuse. Yes, I know; it’s largely self-inflicted. Then for those of us who believe in an afterlife, there is that question as well. The surprising piece of this segment to me was when Mr O gave Kirsten kudo’s for precisely identifying America’s obsession with this story. A first, I believe. Michelle’s lack of enthusiasm for the story was understandable – and a bit amusing too.

Ugh, why waste the time on Anna Nicole, Bill?
Malkin’s been watching the protesters closely, why not focus on that?
I know, I know, Malkin doesn’t pick the topics…it shows.

That Powers clip bit is so good I’ll forgive the absurd enthusiasm for Fleming. This time.

“you are a young woman, Michelle, relatively speaking…”
Something tells me that the Factor Guide to Women will not be a bestseller.

Well, I may take a little exception to the first subject, illegal immigration.
No longer does illegal immigration just effect Border Towns…
But the shear numbers adding up day to day are staggering…
Also, the back lash after last years “Immigration Rallies” was pretty severe, which might account for this…. but you saw it in the media, right?

The producers at Fox News need to a better job at choosing topics for Michelle and KP to discuss. Batting around the Anna Nicole Smith story is like asking a brain surgeon to take a patient’ temperature; they can do the job but it’s a waste of talent.
Zorro on March 26, 2007 at 10:18 PM
Saw this live…start out wanting to like KP for her uniquely sane liberal brain. Then her attitude/heart kicks in “yes, I feel sorry for her”, with such bleeding conviction…then I say “get me Michelle, I need reality back”. It never fails.
Mr. O’R likes the ladies in general, and these two in particular. They make him look good.

Yeah, I’ll agree with a few others on here…boring and uninteresting segment. I always look forward to the MM/KP discussion that is put on this site, but this was a disappointment.

Why do people eat up the Anna Nicole Story? Arlo Guthrie said it best (and Michelle talked about the same why as well.)
“During these hard days and hard weeks, everybody always
has it bad once in a while. You know, you have a bad time of
it, and you always have a friend who says “Hey man, you
ain’t got it that bad. Look at that guy.” And you at that
guy, and he’s got it worse than you. And it makes you feel
better that there’s somebody that’s got it worse than you.”

Of course! She’s the one with the malkins on that show. They don’t call them malkins for nothing.

Hero….. well done. Yeah Bill, no interest here, in fact a topic MM is very informed on.
I think Hero’s link needs a thread of it’s own……

Dead blondes are always taken seriously by Fox News producers.
Speaking of which, did anybody else catch the Sunday night “Spring Break Expose” on Fox?
Social conservatism as prurient pandering — pure genius!

KP sentiments are kind toward those that voraciously follow the Anna Nicole debacle, but I tend to agree with Michelle. Those who feel sorry for Anna Nicole paid their respects weeks ago through words and prayers. Those still gawping now are just like buzzards over a battlefield, watching the twitching throes of this story, looking for fresh news as a raven would an intact eyeball. Sorry for the grotesque metaphor, but this story sickens me.

Bad bill rising, a multiple of torpedoes being launched at America.
It’s up to us to raise enough hell to get all of it’s cluster effects shut down!

Yawn. Sorry, Michelle, but you got handed a dud in terms of topics. Hard to spend several minutes saying, “Frankly, Bill, I don’t give a da*n” and be interesting about it.

There is no such thing as a “tamper proof” card. Anything can be forged, given time and resources. If there’s money to be made, someone will devote the time and resources.

KP/FOX needs to ditch the “borg like handshake” she does.
Other then that great clip Michelle

Can you please explain how the US is not being invaded?
Can you please explain US tax dollars funding sedition?
Can you please explain Mexico’s active interference in internal United States enforcement of Border Enforcement Laws?
Can you explain “Reconquista”?
Finally, can you explain the difference between “La Raza” and the “KKK” is?
PinkyBigglesworth on March 27, 2007 at 2:29 AM
So right, mojojojo, the card Billy O was talking about is already on the streets of TJ and LA, Baja Norte…. you can buy anything, anywhere, and for his statement, Bill O just “jumped the shark”.
Bill O, get out of your studio, get on the streets……

She-who-must-be-obeyed’s eye roll was the perfect comment.

Why do we stare when we pass a car wreck on the road? I think it’s the same reason people continue to be fascinated by ANS. It’s horrifying, but for some reason you can’t look away.

Asking MM about ANS??? What a waste of talent. Greatest. Eye. Roll. Ever!

When FOX started covering inane pablum, I tuned out.My cable is off and I get the only thing I ever watched it for right here on HotAir—-our favorite steel magnolia.

Bill’s becoming more about eye candy everyday. He has the anti-KP(Fleming) waiting in the wings. If he doesn’t stop now, he’ll be useless in his dotage. As usual, the ladies carried on and made the host look good. Especially Michelle. IMHO.
tormod on March 27, 2007 at 10:52 AM
I was a bit surprised by MM’s comments on why the big interest in ANS. I thought liberals were supposed to be elitists.

I feel sorry for Michelle, “relatively speaking”, yikes, Bill. So the three of them could solve the invasion problem but we have to sit through prattle about ANS’ dupa? Especially closing the segment on that. Beautiful. Eye. Roll. WTG, dear Michelle! Self-destruction is boring. Oh! Wait! Maybe that is why those two stories were scheduled together! “Amnesty”=lethal injection into our sovereignty. Maybe we’ll get a clean needle… Our Nancy would see to that I hope… /rant
