Laura is DEAD ON in her assessment of the AG and the President’s tendency toward cronyism.
Man, it gets tougher and tougher to support our President, in spite of his understanding of the war on terror.

A real conservative vs. a neocon GOP establishment figure.
Priceless

Why did Fred Thompson relinquish his senate seat to give Democrats a shot at it at a time when every senate seat was so important?
Perchant on March 25, 2007 at 6:38 PM
Gecko, we’ve known from day 1 that Bush wasn’t gonna be a conservative leader, so don’t feel too bad. He has conservative leanings, but isn’t a con in heart and philosophy.
Bad Candy on March 25, 2007 at 7:14 PM
Laura has an excellent point … but, like Barnes said, Bush has already given in way too much to the dems. He needs to stand firm on this. Plus, if Gonzales left, that McNutty guy would probably replace him. Every action pending against any democrat would probably disappear.
darwin on March 25, 2007 at 7:15 PM
Because his daughter died, I believe.

Laura Ingram is an elitist jerk, who hated Gonzalez from the get go. She is only an Ivy League-style Republican, and her whipping up into an anti-Republican frenzy only caused our side to freak out and lose the election. Her Immigration jihad makes me want to vomit. She is a poisonous harpy, and I don’t like her, at all. She is a Washington Post and NYTs reader, and believes every poll and article written by the inside the beltway types. No more Republican scalps to sooth the Dems or the Buchanan right, period. Put that in your Starbuck’s latte.
Not a fan, at all.
Stormy70 on March 25, 2007 at 7:54 PM
Storym70,
I don’t think there are very many of you “Aztlan Or Bust” Republicans out there. You guys are a tiny minority who happen to have a president in place who is pushing your agenda. That will change in 2008.
Perchant on March 25, 2007 at 8:24 PM
I am no Aztlan or bust republican, but I have lived in Texas and dealt with illegal immigration for decades. The rest of you ignored it until you had to actually lay eyes on illegal aliens in your states. I prefer hard working immigrants to lazy, liberal dead beats. Comprehensive immigration reform is needed, not a pie in the sky dream of rounding everyone up and deporting them. I want to keep my tax cut, not give it up so the INS can reach epic proportions to please a bunch of hyper ventilating people. Wish all of you cared before it got so out of hand, but out of sight, out of mind for the rest of America.
Stormy70 on March 25, 2007 at 8:31 PM
All tax cuts are temporary. Replacing the caucasian majority will be permanent.
Perchant on March 25, 2007 at 9:14 PM
That’s a false choice and you know it.
Watcher on March 25, 2007 at 9:20 PM
Who are these lazy liberal Illegal immigrants?
If you are for comprehensive immigration reform, not only will you loose your tax cut you will loose your SS benefits to illegal aliens that can never repay the amount of benefits that they will draw from the system.
I happen to agree with Laura Ingraham and people like you are in the minority my friend.
One has to wonder how many illegals you employ with the comments you have made here.
ScottyDog on March 25, 2007 at 9:33 PM
The more I hear Laura, the more I like her. I definitely am on her side with this one.
asc85 on March 25, 2007 at 9:54 PM
I employ none. As an absolutist, I hope you are not eating anything picked, built, served or sewn by an illegal alien. For the HYPOCRISY! My lawn people are white guys, too.
Stormy70 on March 25, 2007 at 9:54 PM
Laura is a good person, I have strongly disagreed with her lately because she has taken a more libertarian bent towards her definition which an overwhelming majority do not share
She is a person I admire personally, but she is too too critical without substance, pithy sound bites do not enhance her image and her credibility with me her use of putting words in Freds mouth constantly.
Yes she is a fellow conservative, but I’d rather she join the other side because she isn’t worth the time and effort on the conservative side she’s all over the map.
As she always says – she jumped the shark
EricPWJohnson on March 25, 2007 at 11:12 PM
I never realize just how much I like someone until you come out against them. President Ingraham!
Perchant on March 25, 2007 at 11:22 PM

I’m not against her – she has changed – I was a early contributor to her program, I stopped participating as her positions changed as frequently as the weather.
She and I agree 100% on the Democrats we disagree on the future course of conservatism, I don’t think her latent racism of late and her pandering over the Ramos and Compean situation has ended her credibility with the mainstream. this BP shooting incident had absolutely nothing to do with immigration reform, enforcement and as an experienced attorney she was very well aware of the facts of the case yet she stated on the radio many times blatent lies that she turning her into a propagandist of the most disgusting sort.
Its extremely dissapointing when people choose, choose to lie for ratings and for their current agenda. For someone as smart and intelligent as her to become unfair and shrill was disheartening.
Some of her assertions that she KNEW as an attorney were false:
That they didn’t get a fair trial
That the government of Mexico ordered the prosecution
That the transcripts were late implying that Judge Cardone and Sutton were committing high crimes (Feds use the CART system, the transcripts are automatically translated with every key stroke instanteously)
Further as an attorney an official transcript is not published unless the defendant or the prosecution wishes it so. There is no god Given right to a transcript
She had congressman on who as we now see from the attorney generals problems, who were trying to convene hearings compelling Sutton, Cardone et al to appear DURING the trial and the sentencing phase.
And I got more just this is not my blog

Replacing the Caucasian Majority, you know most of the hispanics I know are conservative catholics?
Shudder…….
EricPWJohnson on March 26, 2007 at 6:31 AM
How very Aryan of you! Just where in the constitution are the caucasians guaranteed a majority. And your claim is laughably inaccurate. According to http://www.shortnews.com/shownews.cfm?id=37944
“The Hispanic population is expected to rise from 36 million to about 103 million, which would be 24.4% of the population in 2050. The Asian population is expected to rise from 11 million to over 33 million, or 8% of the population in 2050.”
Guess we need to open the camps up in Idaho and appoint you as commissar.
If you want to shoot people so bad have you considered joining the military and trying for the special forces?
Bradky on March 26, 2007 at 7:34 AM
There has never been a nation in world history where the predominant race of that nation allowed itself to be replaced without a war. It will never happen in any Latino country, it will never happen in any Asian country and it will never happen in any African country.
Which caucasian majority countries do you believe should remain caucasian majority countries? Any?
Your numbers are outdated. The census bureau gave that estimate before there was any talk of 40 million illegals, amnesty and liberalized immigration policies.
Perchant on March 26, 2007 at 9:09 AM
When did Hispanics become, uh, not Caucasian? Lord.
honora on March 26, 2007 at 9:11 AM
I am proud you disagree with me, Perchant.
Made my Monday morning sweeter than the first sip of coffee.
Stormy70 on March 26, 2007 at 9:36 AM
Stormy70, honora,
the sad thing about this is mainstream people like Laura are actually feeding this wave frenzy using the rule of law – yes I agree illegal immigration is wrong, but its been the manner and custom for the last 175 years – alittle difficult to manufacture this outrage on something that started during Sam Houston’s Tenure
EricPWJohnson on March 26, 2007 at 9:51 AM
Eventually it will become apparent to you if you are of white European ancestry that you have a duty to become extinct. If you don’t accept that duty, you are a nazi.
The Latinos don’t want the gringo on “their” continent and once they have the majority, the gringo will be history. There is not one predominantly caucasian country that the liberals believe should remain predominantly caucasian but if caucasians move into a predominantly non-caucasian country ( South Africa ) and affect the culture, it’s a crime against humanity. Do the math.
Perchant on March 26, 2007 at 10:10 AM
The upside being that Latin men are muey caliente!
I will welcome my Latin Hottie overlords.
Stormy70 on March 26, 2007 at 10:28 AM
So let me get this straight–Spain and Portugal are not “white European” countries?
I believe you are confusing Caucasian with Nordic or Aryan. I’m not calling you a Nazi, I am calling you stunningly ill-informed.
honora on March 26, 2007 at 10:47 AM
Honora,
Mexicans don’t call themselves gringos.
Perchant on March 26, 2007 at 10:59 AM
Oh I see. So we now use slang to define groups; somebody needs to advise the Census bureau about this. Idiocy.
honora on March 26, 2007 at 11:31 AM
honora,
What race does “la raza” refer to?
Perchant on March 26, 2007 at 11:46 AM
Illegal immigration’s current wave is UNPRECEDENTED in the history of this country. Those who think railing against it need to get an education and read up on the human and monetary costs due to this ridiculous and outrageous open border policy. Those so uneducated are gonna cost this country it’s sovreigntry and they will be the first to complain and start railing then….when it will be too late.
Mellen on March 26, 2007 at 11:52 AM
Perchant, Mellen,
Actually several reports show that the 700 billion dollars that hispanics estimate contribute to the economy is a plus. remember, illegal aliens don’t get to vote, don’t get welfare or social security.
I agree we need a fence, I agree we need to have english as the only language and stop the ESL programs
But I’m not finding the “Whites only” in the constitution
EricPWJohnson on March 26, 2007 at 12:30 PM
Semantics and abstracts aside, here’s how the Census Bureau defines race:
See page 1, on the top, right, side, of the 2000 U.S. census.
Entelechy on March 26, 2007 at 1:14 PM
I remember being told I’m not Hispanic because I was born in Spain. Apparently, it only counts if you are a) poor, b) Mexican though Puerto Ricans can get by if they pretend to be from Mexico–at least that’s the feeling you get from elitist gringos. :D
BTW, here legally, by choice and even served in the military as a way of saying thank you to my new country.

Don’t confuse democrat passed demographics with anthropology we can all ger serious brain freezes
EricPWJohnson on March 26, 2007 at 2:09 PM
Do you believe that US caucasians have a constitutional duty to become the first people in world history to allow themselves to become a minority in a country where they are the majority? Show me where that is decreed in the constitution.
You just equated caucasian majority with “whites only”. “Whites only” being an obvious racist slogan so it is therefore racist for caucasians to be the predominant race of a nation. According to you, non-whites don’t exist in a nation until they are the majority.
Perchant on March 26, 2007 at 2:18 PM
What have you been smoking? One of the problems is that they DO get these things even though they aren’t supposed to, and that the government wants to make it so they can get these things legally.
Gianni on March 26, 2007 at 3:08 PM
Why is deporting 12 million alien invaders “pie in the sky”? Historically, this is not so. The Nazis imprisoned and murdered 18 million people, 1/3 of them Jews, while their families back home were kept in the dark. Then there’s the Soviet Gulag, the “re-education camps” in post-communist regimes like Vietnam. We’re talking about kicking people out of the country, not putting them in labor or re-education camps. Of course, just *think* of how much we all could save if they were put into forced-labor camps, picking vegetables, building houses, mowing lawns, etc… that’d be cheaper than hiring them, even!
