Rosie getting a bad rap on connection to “Loose Change”?

We know she’s a Truther, but a Looser? That’s the word from Access Hollywood in this link that people keep sending me, but as much as I hate to say it, I think big Ro’s the victim of a smear here. AH cites Page Six for news that Rosie’s involved in a new version of “Loose Change” bankrolled by Mark Cuban and narrated by Charlie Sheen. Except … Page Six doesn’t say that. It names her in the piece with Cuban and Sheen, but only as an example of another celebrity who’s gone batshinola on 9/11 per her blog posts about WTC Building 7. No link to the movie at all.

Yet.

Anyway, I felt obliged to defend her; no celeb’s given this site as many hours of video enjoyment as Unstable Mable. Oh, and nice job by the “Loose Change” producers wrangling Charlie to do the voiceover. They found the one guy in Hollywood capable of actually reducing the credibility of their film by his association with it. Your quote of the day:

“It seems to me like 19 amateurs with box cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75 percent of their targets, that feels like a conspiracy theory.”

Update: O’Reilly unloaded on all three of them last night. Meanwhile, my pals at Screw Loose Change are wondering if they’re going to do more than just update the narration on LC.

Update (Ian): Scarborough talks about Baba Wawa’s credibility taking a hit after hiring Rosie:

Mark Cuban a truther? I feel the need to call Rome about this…

Theworldisnotenough on March 23, 2007 at 11:13 AM

Please. Stop with her picture already.
It’s too much, and too early in the day.
Post the story, but can we please get a substitute visual?

Tru2my2 on March 23, 2007 at 11:14 AM

Couldn’t happen to a nicer girl.

Citizen Duck on March 23, 2007 at 11:14 AM

Cuban employs Dan Rather, so we already know he’s couple items short of a Happy Meal.

JammieWearingFool on March 23, 2007 at 11:18 AM

Sheen thought the title was Loose Jane and totally misjudged the genre.

Jim Treacher on March 23, 2007 at 11:22 AM

F*** Rosie, indeed!

Oh Charlie, when are you going to get serious and bring us the sequel to The Wraith we’ve all been dying for?

As far as amateurs with boxcutters, that’s practically the dictionary definition of Occam’s razor when stacked up against any of the actual conspiracy theories out there.

saint kansas on March 23, 2007 at 11:24 AM

I think big Ro’s the victim of a smear here.

-Gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

saint kansas: I won’t get a google account but here is one for your list: ‘Heaven Knows Mr. Allison’(Robert Mitchum)

Someone should really run with the Loose Trains idea and make a whole documentary about it.

DaveS on March 23, 2007 at 11:33 AM

Charlie Sheen.

The turd doesn’t fall far from the A-hole.

fogw on March 23, 2007 at 11:35 AM

Hehe. Unstable Mable. Haha

lorien1973 on March 23, 2007 at 11:39 AM

Whoo hooo! HotAir just got a mention on the Beck show.

Whoo hooo! HotAir just got a mention on the Beck show.

This is the kind of spontaneous publicity that makes people! Things are going to start happening to me now!

saint kansas on March 23, 2007 at 11:52 AM

Charlie Sheen, did not know he was out of rehab?

techno_barbarian on March 23, 2007 at 11:55 AM

You really can’t blame the Loose Change guys for getting Charlie. They can’t be making that much money, and fifths are pretty cheap.

Slublog on March 23, 2007 at 11:55 AM

“FEEEEL-ings, whoa whoa whoa whoa,
FEEEL-ings…”

mojo on March 23, 2007 at 11:57 AM

Forget it, AP. It’s impossible to be too harsh on Rosie.

flipflop on March 23, 2007 at 12:23 PM

Never watched his tv show, but now I have to burn my copy of Men at work.

opusrex on March 23, 2007 at 12:24 PM

We know she’s a Truther, but a Looser Loser?

Yes.

thirteen28 on March 23, 2007 at 1:04 PM

Cuban is an idiot. He claims he’s agnostic as to both sides of the argument - is he serious?? Obviously, the moron forgot where he resides and owns an NBA team - Texas. That’s going to go over well around here.

As for Sheen, there’s not much to say that hasn’t been said before. The guy has no credibility, and neither does daddy Sheen - the big bad liberal who had to change his Spanish name to be more successful - Isn’t that right, Ramón Gerardo Antonio Estévez?

And Rosie, I’ll leave AP’s and Ian’s girlfriend alone, for now.

Tru2my2 on March 23, 2007 at 11:14 AM

Uh, yeah.

I wonder if Rosie’s own fan club page posts her picture as much as its posted here.

I know for a fact it causes more nausea here.

Professor Blather on March 23, 2007 at 1:19 PM

“Unstable Mable”…Now that makes me lol. :)

Funny stuff.

angryamerican on March 23, 2007 at 1:30 PM

Why did I watch that?

Dear God. Mark Cuban?

Sigh.

Tell me - somebody tell me - how does ANYBODY vote liberal? How? How do you support this? How do you support these people?

I’m so done with it. How can they do this? You don’t like conservatives? Hate Republicans? Fine. But how can ANYTHING be as bad as this.

How does anybody actually vote for people who do this and act like this.

Puke.

Professor Blather on March 23, 2007 at 1:34 PM

Maybe on her ties to ‘Loose Change’, but she’s a Truther. Truthers are scum, period.

The hell is Mark Cuban thinking? He’s gonna become the most hated person in America next to Osama.

Bad Candy on March 23, 2007 at 1:37 PM

College kids use a picture of her for the same reason on their 21st birthday.

Bad Candy on March 23, 2007 at 1:40 PM

So I wonder if Joe S. will help get his own house, that is MSNBC, in order by taking a critical look at one Keith Odormann?

kevcad on March 23, 2007 at 1:48 PM

Unstable Mable!

PRCalDude on March 23, 2007 at 2:02 PM

kev, hell will frezze over before then. Scarborough’s moved leftward.

Bad Candy on March 23, 2007 at 2:13 PM

“Cuban is an idiot. He claims he’s agnostic as to both sides of the argument - is he serious??”

Hired Dan Rather? Check.
Produced George Clooney’s Good Night & Good Luck? Check.
Truther? Well, it certainly seems like he’s headed in that direction.

Ed Driscoll on March 23, 2007 at 2:37 PM

Batshinola? Can I quote you on that? :oP

DannoJyd on March 23, 2007 at 2:37 PM

Update: O’Reilly unloaded on all three of them last night. Meanwhile, my pals at Screw Loose Change are wondering if they’re going to do more than just update the narration on LC.

That reminds me.. I can’t stand that O’Reilly and Hannity, and other big names never mention things like “Screw Loose Change” when they discuss this issue. They actually give the Truthers a recruiting tool, by making it look like the most known debaters on TV won’t even touch the facts of the case. Whenever they have some nutty professor on who subscribes to the conspiracy theories, they basically call him unAmerican and a nut. Which is true. But in my opinion, they should be arguing the facts, because when they don’t they give the appearance of credibility to the Truther side.

RightWinged on March 23, 2007 at 4:16 PM

Actually if Babwa would smack Rosie around the View’s ratings would sky rocket. Half on Rosie’s side and half watching Babwa’s beatdowns, and we all know she can hang. That’s one reason H&C’s ratings are high.

ROFLMAO!!! Perfect.

tickleddragon on March 23, 2007 at 5:03 PM

Hey, maybe the liberals are right… maybe some people ARE too stupid to take care of themselves, and need the nanny state to look after them.

Maybe the “Truther” movement is just a new and more effective way of identifying those people.

Merovign on March 23, 2007 at 6:25 PM

I remember reading on a television dicussion group that Rosie commented on her blog so I googled and found this:

from Rosie’s blog on Feb. 27, 2007:

“gabrielle writes:

“Hi Rosie
just 2 ? have u read F.Rich book greatest story ever SOLD abt the LIES GWB an the spin drs+r/w power crunches that put him into office.
If so what did u think have u seen loose change LUV GA

i think it is a great book
and i think loose change should be viewed by all

deedledee on March 23, 2007 at 6:38 PM

Charlie could voice over any new loon-fest and it would still be his second biggest mistake. How do you screw up marriage to Denise freaking Richards!

Buck Turgidson on March 23, 2007 at 6:44 PM

We know she’s a Truther, but a Looser? That’s the word from Access Hollywood in this link that people keep sending me, but as much as I hate to say it, I think big Ro’s the victim of a smear here.

If she’s admitted to being a Truther, is it really that offensive to associate her with Loosers? I mean, really, what’s the difference? The exact combination of chemicals that led to their current, addled state?

The hell is Mark Cuban thinking? He’s gonna become the most hated person in America next to Osama.

Bad Candy on March 23, 2007 at 1:37 PM

Oh, I don’t know, it seemed to work for michael moore (intentionally uncapitalized).
