Plus a little requisite Jew-baiting and a showstopping defense of Iran’s nuke program. It’s like Sinatra crooning the old standards, then surprising the audience with a cover of something in the top ten. And just the right audience, too.
Exit question: Is this the latest example in a trend of prominent left-wingers deriding the U.S. for the entertainment of a foreign crowd? Or is it just Farrakhan being Farrakhan?

Many years ago, a musician friend of mine played for a Sunday service at an all-black church. After the service, someone handed him a copy of FINAL CALL, the paper founded by Farrakhan. His picture was on EVERY frippin’ page, either as part of a story for for an ad hawking his sermon tapes or videos.
The idolatry was nauseating.

The NOI are apostates. I wonder if they are allowed to go to Mecca? The NOI has been keeping its head down since Islam has come under the microscope.
Given their shaky relationship to Islam proper, a little America bashing makes sense. If an Anti-Zionist Jew can go to Tehran to deny the Holocaust, maybe an anti-American muslim apostate can get get some Jihadi love.

Wow – if only the interviewer had said “do you hate Jews?” instead of “are you an antisemite”, then Farrakhan wouldn’t have had to drive 50 miles around the question trying to redefine Jewish semitic origins.

I’m at least glad to see Farrakhan come out in favor of nuclear power.

Farrakhan has always been like this. I love that our country has “Freedom of Religion” which means I have as much right to mine as he does to his. I also recognize that Farrakhan being interviewed on Al Jazeera will be broadcast to millions of Muslims who do not have that freedom-all they know is Islam, as Islam is all that is allowed in their countries.
My point is this: Farrakhan and Elijah Mohhamed before him only grew in prominence and power because America is such a great nation that it even makes room for those who hate it.
Farrakhan would never have amounted to much if he had lived in Saudi Arabia or another 100% Muslim country. America made him.
And he repays that kindness by hating America.
I am glad that I can say, “God Bless America” as God is not Allah.

Farrakhan seems agree with Iran, why doesn’t he relocate there? If we are lucky he will even take his followers with him. Wouldn’t Iran just be so lucky.

I had the pleasure of growing up in the same neighborhood and “Minister” Farrakhan and his family. His son Abner was is school a year younger than me. It was a racially mixed public school and Abner was always causing trouble.
NOI has about 10k followers on the southside of Chicago and other urban areas. If you remember the DC snipers were devoutees of this twisted racism disguised as a religion. I worry that these people will cause trouble for America at some time in the future. They should be watched because they are the German-American Bund of the war against radical Islam.
