A law suit is in order here. But I believe one of the most culpable parties will never be named, MSM. Since this story was first reported MSM has WANTED it to be true. What’s juicier than a bunch of White Middle to Upper Class boys being responsible for the false imprisonment, rape and sodomy of an African American female? The story had “circulation” written all over it. America’s quest for dirt helped turn what should have been a fairly routine investigation into a three ring circus. Of course what would a circus be without clowns like Nifong? But we shouldn’t fret none if the charges are dropped, we still have the Anna Nicole Smith saga running 24/7. Another hard hitting news story.

I have been following this case for sometime now and I cannot believe that it has gone on as long as it has. Nifong should face criminal charges as well as several members of the Duke PD.

This is one case where I HOPE the FALSELY ACCUSED sue the living bejeezus out of EVERYONE that took the side of a liar. The liar ought to do some time as well.

But in this case, let the law suits flow…those kids have been so abused and unfairly treated that they need to have some compensation. The pain and heartache of the families, let alone the financial burden, needs to be compensated.

What the Duke Case really illustrates is how our Judicial System has been corrupted beyond recognition by prosecutors that no longer answer to the Constitution they took an oath to protect and serve. The Judicial System has been so corrupted that you are considered Guilty until you prove yourself innocent. If you have the money otherwise you are on your own. Prosecutors routinely hold press conferences to poison the Jury Pool and enhance their own careers rather than seek justice for the people that they serve. Prosecutors make immunity deals with criminals to testify against defendants(suborning perjury) by eliminating or shortening their sentences or just pay them outright with money to get the testimony they need to convict defendants in a court of law. Does the overzealous Johnny Sutton prosecution of Ramos and Compean come to mind? I urge HotAir readers to read Sue Bobs Diary and her piece on the Career Prosecutor regarding that above case. You will be shocked. If you think I am over stating the state of our Judicial system, especially the prosecutorial misconduct that occurs on a daily basis, I urge you to read a series of articles published by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette called Win at all Costs. For those that are interested in the details of Mike Nifong and his prosecutorial abuses now numbering over 100 formal ethics charges, read William Andersons Michael B. Nifong and the Sociopathic State. Mike Nifong should be disbarred and prosecuted for his handling of the Duke La Cross case and when the state gets done with him, I hope the family’s sue him so that he never has a penny left for his retirement.

There should be no lawsuit against the Prosecutor.

The fault lies with those who elected him.

Those who elected him are a distinct group of people compared to the Taxpayers, with some overlapping between the two groupings.

To sue the taxpayers, who did nothing wrong is a travesty.

I say send every registered voter a bill for their share of the damages.

Nifong should be sued indiviually….Include Duke, the professers who signed that ad in the newspaper, and also certain media outlets….they all will settle rather than go to trial with a jury…..

Nifong should also be disbarred for misconduct. as to the woman who made the charges if she had a shread of decency she would apologize.

I usually take the side that lawsuits are a major problem in todays society but in this case I’ll make an execption fo Nifong. I believe that there is clear misconduct on his part that requires civil remedy if not criminal charges.

Fred did say it best. I’d hope that when he’s elected President we could be treated to a series of these clear, simple common sense talks on problems confronting our nation. Not only do they really strike a chord with me but I have shared them with some of my more liberal friends and they appreciate them too.
