Actually, the link I read said that the judge was recused from that case for conflict of interest and further measures have been recommended. Also, the decision was not overturned – in fact, it is unlikely the case will be reheard before the elapse of the year waiting period.

Don’t let Justice Breyer get wind of this.

Suffice it to say I don’t look to bumper stickers for theological scholarship.

I daresay the American public will be unable to take back the schools or the borders without first beginning to force elected leadership to obey their oaths of loyalty to the Constitution. When we start to conscientiously vote out every politician who subverts or ignores the real law of the land, then we’ll be on a road back to reasonable government.

If we don’t begin to do that, I fear that things will continue to worsen until a revolution is inevitable.

We take back the borders first and the schools second.

I hope that judge gets what’s coming to him. Slowly, if you catch my meaning.

I cannot fathom how Americans, religious or not, can stand in support of a religion that believes it’s right to kill anyone that doesn’t convert.

What we must not do is restrict immigration, no, not even to call for it. Not even to discuss it in more than a few words at a time, offhandedly, every few years, and then only to reject it because, you know, travel and communication these days, there’s nothing that can be done.

We can go on endlessly about how awful “multiculturalism” is–that shows what clear-eyed terror warriors we are, as opposed to those wussy liberals. But to try to reduce the Muslim influence by actually reducing the presence of Muslims–that would make us Nazis, and would only encourage and, perhaps, justify the illiberal behavior of the Muslims.

I cannot fathom how Americans, religious or not, can stand in support of a religion that believes it’s right to kill anyone that doesn’t convert. How can they support people that use children to smuggle car bombs past check points and then blow the car up with the children still inside. How can they picket and demonstrate in support of men beating their wives and committing honor killings on female family members? How can they chant and sing in support of a religion that will take their rights to assemble away? How can the gays and lesbians and nudists and all the other ‘get your freak on’ communities stand up and support a religion that will take their right to excercise sexual freedoms and mode of dress away?

I personally may not agree with everything that President Bush does and says. The same goes for his administration. However, they are correct in that we must stem the tide of radical islam at all costs.

I want to live a long time, see my son grow into a man, spend time with my grandchildren and maybe great grandchildren, and then die and be buried in the country I love. On the other hand, if living to a ripe old age means facing Mecca and kneeling 5 times a day, then you might as well behead me now. I won’t do it… ever!!

Look Rick, I believe this is a truly special, I would say blessed, country that we live in. When we take Muslim nations to task for mysogynistic attitudes and laws, I just ask that we remember an important fact about the GWOT:
We are trying to bring them up to our level.
If we’re setting the bar, let’s set it high.

We must reject the notion that any judge’s ruling applies to anything except that one specific case and that international law has any bearing on American law.
