The Goracle could be an even bigger hypocrite than we realized.

Not possible. He's very close to the head of the list, right behind Shrillary and, umm, I guess Darwin.

A couple of decades ago an environmental foundation began offering a certification to corporations who offset their pollution impact on the world. Unlike Gore's blatant hypocrisy, this setup is about actually planting new trees or doing other active, positive things that help make up for pollution. Now I'm not one who cares one way or another about all that. I believe we shouldn't unnecessarily harm the planet, but I also believe that all of humanity would have a real hard time doing truly serious harm to God's creation.

Anyway, all of that to say this. To date, only one corporation on all of planet Earth has done the work to earn this (non-)coveted Climate Neutral Certification.

Has the Goracle mentioned this, the one poster-biz for doing things his way? Of course not, because they aren't buying indulgences from him in the form of phony "carbon offsets". Instead, they paid to replace kerosene lamps and diesel generators with solar powerplants in Sri Lanka. They converted all of the diesel-burning buses in the San Bernardino, California school system to bio-diesel (used cooking oil). They planted over a million new trees in Asia in the 1980s, and are in the process of planting a million trees in Africa. There is one, and only one, large-scale American corporation honoring the spirit of combating human pollution as the folks like Gore would wish, and they aren't being heralded as an example that it can be done. I can only wonder why.

Just. Too. Funny. That guy is brilliant. (And if you you took him seriously … get a humor transplant. Quick.)Capitalism wins once again.

Didn’t these goofy liberals stop and think about WHO would eventually start profiting from their stupidity? Guys like this, of course. Smart, conservative capitalists. Find a demand, meet the need. Idiot liberals demand “carbon offsets?” You want to pay us to do, well, nothing?

Fine. Send money now. Brilliant. Hippies lose. Again.

If we're talking now about the people who will get real profit from real carbon offsets, I disagree with the designation, "smart, conservative capitalists," as being too restrictive. It was Gore and his cronies who were some of the first to leave the starting line, and the Left leadership in general isn't shy about making money or being rich. As nearly as I can tell, the leaders of any political group tend to become well-off eventually, whether in accord or discord with the moral teaching of their politics.

Trees number 1 and 3 are dead. The Auctions ended and nobody cared enough to save a tree so now they are dead. When they dry out and their poor little leaves turn brown and start to fall off I will burn them adding all the carbon they had locked up in their brief lives to the atmosphere. I hope you are happy.

Maybe we should create a "Hot Air" "Co-op", collect millions of virtual trees to sell them, create the "certificates", use our own websites to distribute, have a "legal disclamer", use individual Pay-Pal accounts per site............

(mmmmmmmmmwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)

We could even be wealthier than Al Gore and Silky Pony combined......... Who's with me?

Sorry, I am a greedy Republican, I have already started......
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA, Thanks AL!

HA!

I actually thought about doing almost exactly the same thing a couple of weeks ago.
Why Should Al Gore and his buddies make all the money off this 'carbon offset' scam?

Too bad that darned honest streak of mine got in the way.

What was your sales pitch? You probably would have sold it if you would have put on there that this may be the last real snow you see because of the upcoming eternal inferno due to global warming.

Hmmm, now I know how I can sell the pile of tires I have in my backyard. Buy a tire or it goes up in smoke and giant hurricanes will wipe out the eastern seaboard.

Damn! Where were you a couple weeks ago to be my auction advisor Rick?

Click on the small thumbnail pic with words (if you didn’t already). It’s hilarious.

Yeah, I caught it. Whoever came up with this is hilarious, and frankly I'm jealous.

Make your money off this now before the Dems push the carbon tax through and the government is the only one making a profit on this.

A very interesting take on the topic. How long before the government wants a piece of the carbon-credit action? Is it currently tax-deductible? Are these "charities" recognized by the IRS? The Goracle could be an even bigger hypocrite than we realized.

Offer, for payment, a “Carbon Crdit Certificate” that you can re-sell if your “Carbon Footprint” exceeds your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly allowance from the High Priest Gorbacle…..

Do you all understand what an opportunity this is?

Take a picture of a tree outside your house, if you don't find one, download a nice one from the internet.

Go on E-Bay and sell "Carbon Credits"..... using the picture of your tree.

Offer, for payment, a "Carbon Crdit Certificate" that you can re-sell if your "Carbon Footprint" exceeds your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly allowance from the High Priest Gorbacle.....

Tell them they can always come back and purchase more, since such trees are being "planted" in a "Carbon Credit" forest........ in........... Carbon Credit Land, who cares, make up a name, and if they wish, they can always try to sell their "Carbon Credit" back to the wasteful populous.

You can sell as many pictures of trees as you can, never having to deliver a seed, just a photo shop certificate....... and that is another opportunity!

Let's all start creating "Carbon Credit Certificates" to sell to the "Carbon Credit Land", who will then sell them to the "Carbon Credit" recipients?

Ladies and Gentlemen...... we only have a few years before this hits the fan, but in the mean time, we can make Millions!

TradeMark.. PinkyBigglesworth!

Anyone else want to join in, or have I just unleashed the hounds????

If I read that correctly PayPal is actually insuring extortion payments for hostage trees?

You didn’t need to wait for me, y’know…

I didn't need to wait. I wanted to.

Say, you've seen the big maple trees in my yard. Think I can get some moonbat to pay me a few bucks to leave them standing?

What pisses me off is that he’s got a bid, and no one bid on the “snow on my car” I tried to sell after the Valentines day blizzard literally completely buried my car. (And yes, I really did list the “snow on my car” on eBay, just to see what happened. Nothin! And this guy gets a bid!? Blast!)
