The real question that should have been asked of Gore,”King of the Fuh’s”, during his Senate showboat is: If everyone followed his example, instead of following his enviromania preaching, and had $3000 a month electricity bills, but say it’s okay because one is carbon neutral due to carbon offsets, Would the planet be better off – or worse off???. I mean, does he really believe that by being “carbon neutral” absolves him of being more responsible for the death of planet earth than the average household, or two, or three, or four???

Not that I believe this whoey, just see what his answer would be. Like the post yesterday, IT IS THE SUN, man.

I remember O’Reilly talking about Kaplan a while back and saying he was the reason for MSNBC’s lurch to the left. And your Newsbusters link shows Kaplan joined MSNBC in early 2004, which coincides pretty well with their lurch leftward.
They were liberal before, but under Kaplan they basically became Al Jazeera in english. I think you’re right about the reasons for the hiring and Hillary’s electability.

I honestly feel his hiring is a desperation move. Everyone knows Hillary is unelectable at this point, yet she’ll clearly be the Dems’ nominee. What perfect timing this hiring was!

I agree with you right2bright that man-made Global Warming is not happening. But I think you may have got your number wrong on the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. According to Professor Tim Ball, Dept. of Climatology University of Winnipeg, from the documentary, “The Great Global Warming Swindle”, the amount of CO2 in the air is about .054%, which would equate to .00054 of the atmosphere.

Now if only these guys would get serious about improving our energy infrastructure. Build Nukes, drill off-shore, increase the electrical grid capacity, give incentives/tax breaks for residential solar power and solar heating, develop geo-thermal and hydropower systems. We don’t need carbon-indulgences, we need reduced regulation.

That depends on which will is greater. Have foreign oil dependency along with the NIMBY syndrome, or have oil independency and NITBY (Not in their (foreign) back yards). Either that or they’ll have to start choosing nuclear plants (even the little ones).
