I posted this question under Allah Panders (AP) fake headline about Fred Thompson defending Gore and am now posting it here. Here goes:

Gore’s a FUH KING idiot. Can I say that??? How different is it than using astericks such as F*cking???

The real question that should have been asked of Gore,”King of the Fuh’s”, during his Senate showboat is: If everyone followed his example, instead of following his enviromania preaching, and had $3000 a month electricity bills, but say it’s okay because one is carbon neutral due to carbon offsets, Would the planet be better off - or worse off???. I mean, does he really believe that by being “carbon neutral” absolves him of being more responsible for the death of planet earth than the average household, or two, or three, or four???

Not that I believe this whoey, just see what his answer would be. Like the post yesterday, IT IS THE SUN, man.

I remember O'Reilly talking about Kaplan a while back and saying he was the reason for MSNBC's lurch to the left. And your Newsbusters link shows Kaplan joined MSNBC in early 2004, which coincides pretty well with their lurch leftward.
They were liberal before, but under Kaplan they basically became Al Jazeera in english. I think you're right about the reasons for the hiring and Hillary's electability.

[...] Today, Senator Inhofe asked the question we’ve all been dying to ask: “There are hundreds of thousands of people who adore you and would follow your example by reducing their energy usage if you did. Don’t give us the run-around on carbon offsets or the gimmicks the wealthy do,” Senator Inhofe told Gore. “Are you willing to make a commitment here today by taking this pledge to consume no more energy for use in your residence than the average American household by one year from today?” Senator Inhofe asked.
Hey, Al, need a cooling/warming history lesson? I found it on the internet which you founded so it must be true!

"A review of more than 200 climate studies led by researchers at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics has determined that the 20th century is neither the warmest century nor the century with the most extreme weather of the past 1000 years. The review also confirmed that the Medieval Warm Period of 800 to 1300 A.D. and the Little Ice Age of 1300 to 1900 A.D. were worldwide phenomena not limited to the European and North American continents. While 20th century temperatures are much higher than in the Little Ice Age period, many parts of the world show the medieval warmth to be greater than that of the 20th century."

Indeed it was, but we know Katie is a far lefty and in love with Big Al... Besides, that's just CBS. Former home of Document Dan, and new home to a just hired producer for Couric's show, who just happens to be a long time pal of the Clintons
http://newsbusters.org/node/11297
(Follow Kaplan's media career by the way... He's been a big dog at virtually every network, broadcast and cable, all the while playing golf with Slick Willy, and being his guest in the Lincoln Bedroom)

I honestly feel his hiring is a desperation move. Everyone knows Hillary is unelectable at this point, yet she'll clearly be the Dems' nominee. What perfect timing this hiring was!

[...] The call for Gore to limit the energy use in his home to that of the average American family is also absurd considering that both he and his wife run businesses from the home, and that the home is in an area with substantially above average energy needs for cooling. Besides, considering how he is owned by the energy industry and repeats their line regardless of the degree to which it is contradicted by the consensus of scientific thought, Inhofe is the last person to raise charges of hypocrisy against anyone. Needless to say, the conservative blogosphere (such as here, here, here, and here), always ready to join in an attack on a Democrat without any regard to its validity, is regurgitating this attack just as they’ve been programmed to do. Once again we see how conservatives react when all the facts are against them.
So did anyone catch when Gore said that "the earth has a fever."

What are we?
A bunch of numb skulls who need analogies to get his point?
I think hes lost his mind to tell the truth.
That or hes a total idiot.

Anyone else catch this link at Drudge? Couric <strike>reporting</strike> advocating:

http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2007/03/21/couricandco/entry2594094.shtml

And you wonder why you feel like a crazy person when you talk to people in the general public who generally just pick up bits and pieces of the news from the MSM. What a piece of garbage Couric is, as is CNN's Don Lemon with their "good for her" for Boxer.

C02, about .054 of our atmoshpere.

right2bright on March 21, 2007 at 4:12 PM

I agree with you <strong>right2bright</strong> that man-made Global Warming is not happening. But I think you may have got your number wrong on the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. According to Professor Tim Ball, Dept. of Climatology University of Winnipeg, from the documentary, "The Great Global Warming Swindle", the amount of CO2 in the air is about .054%, which would equate to <strong>.00054 of the atmosphere.</strong>

You can read some of the points made in the video <a href="http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1173879092390&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FPrinter" rel="nofollow">here</a>.

Paul, then all of that get offset by China's ungodly amount of continuing and increasing polluation of the global climate skies. Heck, even soot from China floated over to America and sullied our soils and car tops.

That was great!

Now if only these guys would get serious about improving our energy infrastructure. Build Nukes, drill off-shore, increase the electrical grid capacity, give incentives/tax breaks for residential solar power and solar heating, develop geo-thermal and hydropower systems. We don't need carbon-indulgences, we need reduced regulation.

Babs,

That depends on which will is greater. Have foreign oil dependency along with the NIMBY syndrome, or have oil independency and NITBY (Not in their (foreign) back yards). Either that or they'll have to start choosing nuclear plants (even the little ones).
