Deja vu: Dead troops dragged through the streets of Mogadishu

Not our boys this time, but somebody’s boys.
Somali insurgents dragged soldiers’ bodies through the streets of Mogadishu before burning them on Wednesday in heavy fighting that killed at least 16 people and injured scores more, witnesses said.
The corpses of five soldiers — either from the Somali government army or their Ethiopian allies — were desecrated during some of the worst clashes in the lawless capital since the interim government took over in December, witnesses said.
In one place, men dragged two semi-naked corpses by the feet while members of a crowd chanting “God is Great” kicked and pelted them with stones, a Reuters reporter said.

OK, I checked out the photos (I force myself to view this stuff).
Any legal reason why all of the photos are cropped so that none of the faces of the “residents of Mogadishu” shows?
I thought (in the U.S. at least) if you were in public, doing public things (like burning a body in the street), you were giving de facto consent to being photographed.
I guess it makes it easier for moveon.org to Photoshop U.S. combat uniforms on them.

This is just an observation and a little off topic, but something i just have a hard time coming to terms with – how is it possible that in human nature there is something so evil that drag, murder and desecrate a fellow member of mankind, use a small child on a suicide mission, think that it’s a-ok to fly airplanes into buildings, bomb embassies, cut off people’s heads with whom you don’t agree… i could go on. I will never understand how men are so evil and can possibly do this and then justify it. I don’t get it. I don’t get it. I don’t get it.

I also looked at the pics and am stoopified by the caption, A Somali government soldier claps…” goernment soldier? it was a picture of a barefoot skinny in black shorts and a grubby white t shirt. When the soldiers look homeless it’s no wonder the place is a sewer.

I am not surprised by this at all.
The problem being America (Clinton rather) cut and run after everyone watched CNN.
Since the Somalis won (not rea “The battle of the Black Sea” (Somalis call it The day of the Rangers) and we pulled out ASAP why would they not try the same thing over again.
