OK. That BP carbon footprint site is just bogus. I filled in the exact same information except changed the country and here are the results.

China – 18
France – 9.2

Now, perhaps France is very low because they use a lot of nuclear power. But what about China?! Surely it should be higher there because nearly everything is coal-powered. I’m calling BS. I think it’s rigged to lay more guilt on Americans.

With the size of the Pony property, all the construction going on, and all of the amenities he has, somehow I doubt the Ponies try to conserve anything. I venture to guess that the Pony mansion is more like a perpetual party palace – bright lights, lots of people, lots of food and drink, tons of cars and SUVs parked out front, and Pony right in the center of it all.

I have a 1200 sqft apartment in Raleigh, and my bill last month was $90. This man’s mouth is moving, so obviously, he’s lying. Come on, people.

RightWinged is right. Those qualifying words about his bill, last one I saw give him plenty of wiggle room. He’s probably had a secretary/accountant who has been responsible for paying month to month bills for years. Who knows when was the last time he actually saw his utility bills?

Of course. I mean, in a lot of households only one spouse does the bills anyway…. But when you’re as rich as this guy, does anyone honestly think he or his wife are sitting down at the table with reading glasses on and a checkbook out, paying bills, comparing the electric to the meter when it seems a little high, haggling over the cable promo when it ended earlier than expected, etc. I’m not even saying there’s anything wrong with being too rich to care or pay attention to your bills, but it’s clear how evassive he was and then when cornered saying “the last one I saw”, that could mean anything, and anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that he’s totally lying.
